“What were his last words? Did he have any final wisdom to share?”
“Oh... Erm, I wish I... I wish I could have understood everything he tried to convey. It was so difficult to piece together, towards the end... I— I read him… his favorite Nietzsche passages, and he— [choked up] He told me to mark a passage, and t— to always think of him...”

“I’m sorry, but no. We didn’t give up our lives and travel halfway across the world to conduct an experiment only for tabloids to be all that is ever published about it.”
“Hang on, I thought I recognized you from somewhere. You’re those modern day Adam and Eve kooks—”

Sara Dach died in hospital only a few short years after publishing her memoir from complications of her chronic illness and years of malnourishment on Mua Pel’am. While she never made good on her promise to publish Johannes Roder’s philosophical works, she did succeed, at least, in saving him from passing into total obscurity. Though Greta’s rival narrative added fuel to the flame of speculation about Sara’s involvement in Johannes’ untimely passing, she was never formally questioned or charged and his death is still officially listed as an accidental food poisoning.
