I always think that if I could relive my life again I would love to have been in the SAS as I do love risk. You can almost say I’m a risk junkie. I think when you’re including risking your life where exercise is concerned and it could end up that you’re seriously injured you’re living in the moment because you have to be super aware of the consequences of your actions and that’s what I try to be. While climbing as high as I could on a tree like this and that would be quite an achievement in the ideal weather conditions. For the general part of my fitness training the part of the climb I really like is when I’m standing on the ground and being able to elevate myself on to the first branch —-Requires an immense amount of energy. It wasn’t until last night as I got into bed that I became aware that I had strained some muscles around my ribs that made me feel that my ribs were bruised. Even today as I cough I can feel pain at the bottom right rib cage. The challenging part for me today it’s not finding a tree while I’m driving around and thinking I’m going to give that a go and try and climb it even in the rain. I like to think there is a part of me that is conscious of what I can do and what I shouldn’t be doing. That is thinking about consequences of my actions. In fact we all should think about consequences of our actions.
