It's been a while since the last Kimochi event, huh? Well, puella thinks it has.

This Kimochi, I made it to rank 34. I feel like i should've done better with Mami being a forest unit and forest being strong against aqua-type enemies but... It is what it is I suppose!

I used a team (as you can see) of Tomoe Mami (scene0 ver.) (4slot), Holy Mami (anime ver.) (4slot), Amaryllis (1slot) & Madoka • Iroha (1slot), my intention was that they would just keep loop-loop-looping their magias, but I'd only gotten amaryllis nearing the end of the Puella Historia banner(s), so I haven't gotten her to episode & magia level 5 and she therefore does not have a doppel at the present moment... All in all though, I think I did okay (Screenshot from day two).

With Kimochi now having ended, scene0 is also ending!

I'm a little sad to see Mabayu go... She's a sopping wet cat but she's MY sopping wet cat!!

I will be shipping MabaMami forevermore though... Mabayu got an uncap today, and as far as I've heard she isn't the best unit in the world but she's usable!

The Recompense costumes for the quintet are also available now in the support point shop, along with a couple more for Mabayu and Homura.

Me and the Materializing New Me

Obtainability: Limited to the “Kagome’s Hundred Monsters” event shop. This is event bonus memoria and should be kept in case of a rerun.

MLB Effect: Darkness [100%] (Target / 1 Turn) & Damage Up [20%] (Self / 1 Turn)

Effect Definitions:

Darkness is a Status Ailment that will cause the afflicted target to have a 35% chance to miss their attacks, and it will also make the target take 80% more damage from its weak element. Darkness chance can stack.

Damage Up will increase the damage done by the equipped character’s attacks and its effect takes place after the buffs and debuffs are calculated. Damage Increase and Damage Up are essentially the same effect, however Damage Up has a 100% cap while Damage Increase doesn’t. Both collectively cap at 300%.

TLDR: This is a pretty nice event shop memoria that allows you to increase your damage through less straight-forward means. It also gives you a defensive boost by making the enemy more likely to miss when used.

Review: “Me and the Materializing New Me” is a surprisingly decent little event shop memoria. Either effect would be useful, but together this memoria packs a surprisingly effective punch. The Darkness gives a defensive edge by forcing the enemy to miss 35% of the time, but it also gives you an offensive boost by making the target take increased damage from its weak element. Couple that with the 20% Damage Up and you’ve got a shocking little powerhouse on your hands. This is particularly when you compare it to its competition:

“The Way Home after the Rain (Leila)” is the most easily comparable, as both will have a 100% chance to inflict Darkness onto their target. However, “Me and the Materializing New Me” comes with an additional offensive capability in that 20% Damage Up. That 20% Damage Up is shockingly good-- take a look at this comparison list:

Overall, this memoria is long enough-- it’s pretty nice for an event shop memo. You can equip this as an alternative way to increasing your damage without relying on the regular ol’ Attack Up active memos.

I want to like 100 Yokai Kagome so much but everytime I see her I just think "was it necessary to give her that outfit?"

Yeah... I don't really want to start outfit drama on here, but I feel the same way.

I think it looks a little better in the live 2D at least. The smoke coming off around her shoulders and the patterns all look neat. So do the plants (seaweed maybe?) that are all over the place. The colors also look nice. You can't see it in this image, but I think her shoes look really cool as well:

But man, this game's obsession with bellybuttons is unreal. The implied lack of underwear with the short skirt is also kinda. skeevy. I dunno, it all just looks uncomfortable to me. To be fair (?) though, I also don't know very much about this kind of style of Japanese clothes, so maybe this is culturally on-point, I have no idea.

I'm kinda glad to hear that I'm not the only one who isn't a fan-- on discord it looked like a lot of people liked it so I was wondering if I was just being a grumpy ol' curmudgeon.

I'm not really interested in starting or continuing outfit discourse so I'm going to stop talking about the outfit outside of this one Ask though. Just can't be arsed to put that much energy into it.
