It's been a while since the last Kimochi event, huh? Well, puella thinks it has.

This Kimochi, I made it to rank 34. I feel like i should've done better with Mami being a forest unit and forest being strong against aqua-type enemies but... It is what it is I suppose!

I used a team (as you can see) of Tomoe Mami (scene0 ver.) (4slot), Holy Mami (anime ver.) (4slot), Amaryllis (1slot) & Madoka • Iroha (1slot), my intention was that they would just keep loop-loop-looping their magias, but I'd only gotten amaryllis nearing the end of the Puella Historia banner(s), so I haven't gotten her to episode & magia level 5 and she therefore does not have a doppel at the present moment... All in all though, I think I did okay (Screenshot from day two).

With Kimochi now having ended, scene0 is also ending!

I'm a little sad to see Mabayu go... She's a sopping wet cat but she's MY sopping wet cat!!

I will be shipping MabaMami forevermore though... Mabayu got an uncap today, and as far as I've heard she isn't the best unit in the world but she's usable!

The Recompense costumes for the quintet are also available now in the support point shop, along with a couple more for Mabayu and Homura.

Witch's Traffic Safety

Obtainability: Limited to the “Snow Thawing Befana” event shop. This is an event bonus memoria and should be kept in case of a rerun.

MLB Effect: Burn [40%] (All Enemies / 1 Turn)

Effect Definitions:

Burn is a Status Ailment that will damage the afflicted target for 10% HP per turn, and it will also make the target take 80% more damage from its weak element. Burn chance can stack. Note that damaging Status Ailments have a stacked maximum of inflicting 10,000 HP done per turn.  

TLDR: This memoria belongs in the Memoria Vault in case its respective Event is ever rerun. If you don’t care about that, then it can be considered Enhancement Fodder.

Review: This memoria has the same exact effect as the memoria “Sending Thoughts Back to You”. Because of this, the review will be copy+pasted.

A 40% chance to Burn all targets is kind of poor. It’s has a less than half chance of working, admittedly against all enemies, making it unreliable.

If you want to use a Status Ailment, it’s likely to either prevent an enemy’s Evade from working, to increase your offense through the enemy taking 80% increased damage from its weak element, or by increasing your offense by using the effect “Damage Up Versus Enemies Affected With Status Ailments.” For all of these cases, “Witch's Traffic Safety” just isn’t reliable enough.

Unfortunately, you can’t find any active Burn memoria that have a better chance of working against all the enemies, but several memoria exist that have a 100% chance of working against one enemy, including one free welfare memoria:

The memoria “Magical Halloween Theater” and “Their Connected Destination” are especially notable as they are very free-to-play friendly in terms of acquiring them. You only need 2000 support points to purchase them in the Support Point Shop: an outright steal.

If it wasn’t for the fact that “Witch's Traffic Safety” is Event Bonus Memoria, this would be considered Enhancement Fodder. Alas, you should throw this into your Memoria Vault instead just in case the event is ever rerun.

Magical Girls Are Sorcerers

Obtainability: Limited to the “Snow Thawing Befana” event gacha (rerun).

Single Effect: Damage Increase [25%] & Anti-Skill Seal [100%]

MLB Effect: Damage Increase [30%] & Anti-Skill Seal [100%]

Effect Definitions:

Damage Increase will increase the damage done by the equipped character’s attacks, and its effect takes place after the buffs and debuffs are calculated. Damage Increase and Damage Up are essentially the same effect, however Damage Up has a 100% cap while Damage Increase doesn’t. Both collectively cap at 300%.

Anti-Skill Seal prevents the equipped unit from being afflicted with Skill Seal. Skill Seal is a Status Ailment that will cause the afflicted target to be unable to use Active skills, such as memoria or Spirit Enhancement Actives.

TLDR: “Magical Girls Are Sorcerers” is a good Whale-tier memoria and it can be used on Supports. Its high Damage Increase coupled with its high ATK stats make it a powerful offensive memoria, and its Anti-Skill Seal could make it helpful for Ranked Mirrors.

Review: “Magical Girls Are Sorcerers” is an excellent memoria. It has two good effects, making it extremely useful as both a generic offensive memoria and also as a preventative measure. It’s possible that this memoria could see a lot of usage in Ranked Mirrors, but it can also be useful outside of that arena as well.

Let’s address the Damage Increase first. Damage Increase is extremely useful for whales on memoria as only one character in the game (as of writing this review) can give Damage Increase through a Magia/Doppel. Every other character gives Damage Up. That means you want to stack Damage Increase memoria where you can, especially if you’re sure you can cap on Attack Up through alternative means. Naturally that means the more Damage Increase, the better. There are a number of passive and active options one can choose, but let’s take a look at the competitors for “Magical Girls Are Sorcerers” amongst passive memoria:

Scarily enough, “Magical Girls Are Sorcerers” is among the best of the best when it comes to Damage Increase memoria, as it will provide a staggering 30% Damage Increase when max-awakened. Now, it’s not alone in that-- the unlimited “Moment of Perfection” will also give 30% Damage Increase. However, “Magical Girls Are Sorcerers” also gives much better passive ATK stats: when max leveled, it gives 2350 ATK as opposed to “Moment of Perfection” giving 1817. 

That difference probably won’t mean much to a non-whale who doesn’t care about scoring highly in Kimochi, but it will make all the difference to a player who is trying to squeeze out as much damage as possible wherever they can.

This high amount of Damage Increase and passive ATK stats make this also an excellent memoria to use wherever you want for generic gameplay. It also means it will work well on Supports (just make sure that the equipped character doesn’t already have Anti-Skill Seal in their Spirit Enhancement!). 

Speaking of Anti-Skill Seal, let’s talk about that as well. “Magical Girls Are Sorcerers” is the clear winner when comparing it to other memoria in the game with Anti-Skill Seal on them:

(4*) “Being Wrapped In Self-Reproach” Anti-Skill Seal [100%] & Accele MP Gain Up [15%]

(Limited Welfare 3*) “My Soul for the Land of the Rising Sun” Anti-Skill Seal [100%]

(Limited Welfare 4*) “Place Where You Can Meet Everyone” Anti-Skill Seal [65%] & Anti-Darkness [100%] & Attack Up [10%]

The only other decent Four-Star option would be “Being Wrapped In Self-Reproach”, but it gives Accele MP Gain Up instead of a more beneficial offensive effect. Equipping “Magical Girls Are Sorcerers” over these other memoria means you don’t need to sacrifice good passive memoria damage for protection.

However, there is another benefit. Some units in the game aimed at Ranked Mirrors can inflict Skill Seal onto their enemies: this includes the popular Darkness Mitama who can inflict it through her Spirit Enhancement Active and on her Magia/Doppel. Granted, it’s going to be a very bad time for you if Darkness Mitama is able to get either ability off, but this memoria can add a little protection just in case she does.

So overall? A good whale-tier memoria.

F4 event summary + vent

Today JP server had a livestream event about Magireco game.

Kagome's VA played the game BGM on a piano. I was so surprised!

They talked about what doppels are, how they form and what they were based on. They also showed a few design examples such as Meru's doppel.

Then there was a special event featuring Kagome and Ui. It was about them having a lucky day. They ended up meeting outside Kamihama city. Kagome was planning to visit Snaa for watching anime together while Ui was going home. They ran away from Kyubey and talked about when he chooses to appear in front of girls (car accident, learning about a sick person, etc). Kagome didn't want to meet Kyubey so she thought Ui was her lucky person of the day(?) and they also mentioned Meru. Then they came to Mikadzuki house together.

Ume-sensei joined as a surprise guest and they talked about character designs. She designed a character that will arrive once arc 2 hits climax. But the details were kept as a secret.

Kagome's meguca design and Mikoto Sena's witch form was shown.

Arc 2 was based on 18 megucas. They designed weapons and then the girls themselves. Kagome was one of the earliest designs, her weapon is a mandrake and she plays a key role in the story.

Then some game data was shown. Top 10 home screen megucas, top 10 full slotted 4* girls, etc.

Then update corner began and ugh... I need to vent a bit here.

Because one of the upcoming units is Holy Mami anime ver. They have so many characters and they chose to put a character alt that already exists. The only difference will be her backstory.

But we are also getting this amazing duo! (Mikage + Nayuta Christmas ver.) I will definetely try to get them!
