To whomever it may concern - AKA the people who make these decisions, An innocent black man is scheduled to be federally executed today, on Martin Luther King Day, 2021. Let me say that again. An innocent black man is going to be put to death by the Federal Government today, on Martin Luther King Day, 2021. For the love of God, or whatever it is that you believe in, please do not let this happen to him. I’m begging you all to reconsider the circumstances which clearly leads to his innocence. If you do not act, you will allow an innocent black man to be federally executed on Martin Luther King Day, 2021. Will you be able to live with that on your shoulders for the rest of your life? Will you be able to come home to your children and/or loved ones, just like any other day, once Dustin is gone, a father who has had to spend almost his entire kids’ lives in prison - over something that someone else had already admitted to? If you were unable to tell your loved ones about how you did nothing to save an innocent man’s life because of how awful it is to sit in prison for 20 straight years - having only the fate of being put to death by the broken system which got you there in the first place. Where is the justice here, isn’t that what this is all about from case to case? Serving justice? You cannot turn your backs. You cannot do this to him. I don’t know if anyone will be listening, but I’ll pray before I fall asleep for a chance that Dustin will still be with us by the end of today, January 15th, Martin Luther King Day, 2021. I will pray and pray and hope that someone, anyone, will resolve this. I am begging you to save this man’s life, and get him out of that hell for once and for all.
