🕊️ Today, we observe National Anti-Terrorism Day, a day dedicated to promoting peace, unity, and humanity. This solemn occasion reminds us of the devastating impacts of terrorism and the importance of standing together against such acts of violence.

🗓️ National Anti-Terrorism Day is observed on May 21st each year, marking the assassination anniversary of former Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, who fell victim to a terrorist attack in 1991. His death serves as a powerful reminder of the need to combat terrorism in all its forms.

Hamas flags have been seen on the streets of London, Hezbollah flags have been seen on the streets of London, Al Qaeda flags have been seen on the streets of London, ISIS flags have been seen on the streets of London, Islamic Jihad flags have been seen on the streets of London, Boko Haram flags have been seen on the streets of London. We are hearing calls for Jihad and chants of 'from the river to the sea', 'free Palestine' and worse, making the Jewish population of this great city, which prides itself on its diversity and tolerance, feel extremely uncomfortable.

Both free speech and freedom of expression are vital components of any democracy. What we are seeing and hearing right now are neither - these haters have crossed the line.

In memory of the 2 996 people killed on 9/11/2001. We must also remember that firefighters and police who responded on that horrific day are also victims. 

Many firefighters died of cancers associated with the smoke and debris, as they heroically tried to save innocent people. At least 6000 people were injured. 

Children lost fathers, mothers, siblings, grandparents. People took flights in good faith and sent their last moments warning other potential victims and saying goodbye to loved ones. 

People trapped in the flaming towers who knew they had no chance of survival desperately contacted their loved ones before the end. Many were forced to jump to their deaths by the blast, mistakenly believed to be committing suicide. 

Terrorism is wicked. We must continue to fight it.

I remember when Sharifah Nabilah, Liy Omar, Fadhilah, Dinah and I were in Al-Aqsa. We were prepared for a situation where Israeli soldiers were to attack worshippers and even discussed an emergency plan. Thank God, nothing happened and we could pray peacefully. Al-Aqsa was attacked a few days ago during the holy month of Ramadan while Muslims prayed. My heart breaks for my Muslim brothers and sisters. May Allah swt protect the innocents and may the terrorists be punished with the harshest of punishments. How do you define the true Israeli spirit? This is how: David Stern, his wife Rachel and their 3 children were driving through the village of Hawara when an Arab terrorist fired more than twenty shots at their car, one of which hit David in the head. Despite being seriously wounded, David, an ex- US Marine, managed to draw his pistol, shooting the terrorist and almost certainly saving the lives of his wife and children (none of whom were injured). Our thoughts and prayers are with David, his wife Rachel and their 3 children. We would like to wish this brave man a Refuah Shlema.
