1. Do you get along with animals?

I've grown up with pets; so yes, I do get along with animals very well and I want to smooch all of them. Cats especially need to stay alert, because they're likely to become victims of non consensual-kisses.

2. Do you like to read comic books or manga?

I don't remember the last time I've read a western comic book. I remember I used to read Mickey Mouse as a kid (if that counts?), but the weebification process gradually took over, so definitely manga. ^^ ( However in this latest period I think that I'm showing more interest towards visual novels, and maybe I need to thank Hakuoki for that).

3. Do you consider yourself a people person?

A people person...Let's see: I of course enjoy spending time with friends and/or people I vibe with; but I'm actually pretty introverted so I don't think I can really consider myself a people person.

4. Name 3 things to do for fun

Just three? I'll name the first three things that occur to me: traveling, playing board games (chess, checkers or even RPGs like Dungeon and dragons, though I've never played the latter) and lastly: jogging or cycling along the promenade (not only it can be fun, physical exercise is literally medicine for the body).

5. What's your favorite colour?

Ooh I like this question because the average person usually answers ''green/blue/yellow/pink'' etc. and then they ask me and I'm like: ''black, beige, brown and all the dark hues that can come to your mind; I have a hard time choosing among all these beautiful colors''.XD Needless to say that nobody is surprised when I say this because It's already pretty obvious by the way I usually dress. I sometimes wonder where my chromatic taste stems: either I haven't fully gotten over my depressed-gothic teen phase or I just always had a dark soul. XDDD.

If I had to choose among non-depressed colors, I'd say blue. I especially like to wear it in summer

6. What type of movies do you like to watch?

I don't have a specific genre so a bit of everything. I however sometimes enjoy watching old italian movies that nobody gives a damn about anymore (Understandably, the pace was veeeery slow), especially the ones with Marcello Mastroianni.

Back when Italy was still able to make decent movies *sigh*.

7. What do you prefer, boxing, MMA or neither?

Neither.

8. Do you have a favorite book?

Il libro di Draco Daatson (Salvatore Brizzi).

9. Have you experienced something supernatural?

O_O No. And if I ever will I hope it will not be a scary experience. if it is, I at least want to experience it with someone so I can hide behind them, I don't want to soil my pants T_T.

Letting go is hard, especially when we feel like we control everything... when we actually don't.

As a believer, all I can do is rely on God when I realize how feeble my efforts and their results are.

All vets around the area have been notified, animal shelters, neighbours, online lost pet websites etc.

I hope my cat returns. I've done all that I could. I still go around calling him when I can. I will keep on asking neighbours. He's a part of our family.

But I have to let him go, and let God take care of him and bring him home.

Well the results are in! I’ll be translating Hakuoki Shinkai Tenun no Shou! \(@^0^@)/  It will take some time before I’ll be able to post the translations, so please be patient m( _ _ )m. For manga, currently reading Soul Eater! Read it once long ago, before it finished, and lost track at the beginning of the last arc. Finally gonna finish it now 🤣

Mostly keeping up with this season of anime; currently: Malevolent Spirits S2, Sugar Apple Fairy Tale S2, Sacrificial Princess and the King of Beasts, My Happy Marriage, Pastor Lawrence & Saint Cecelia, and Undead Girl Murder Farce.

Also watching Soul Eater with my Obiyuki ladies!

Furthermore, there seems to be a general consensus that Hijikata had/must have a deep voice which can lead to Hijikata-actors adjusting their voices in ways that look and sound unnatural...

Example: Kurizuka Asahi in Moeyo Ken (1966) & Nakamura Yuichi in Hakuōki: Sweet School Life (2015)

Moeyo Ken (1966) is the adaptation of the book of the same name which was mentioned in an academic paper that compared the book to Gintama. I uploaded an extract of the paper here.

I had a good booping fight with you yesterday. The only thing I regret is that sleep took me too soon, so I didn't get to master the forbidden techniques that the evil wizard @elt used on me. I hope we'll get to see something similar on Tumblr again so I can have a proper revenge.

In the meantime, I return with affection (and a bit of mischief too :3) all the little super boops you gave me when I logged out (yes the evil one too ehe I'll remeber that XD).

Nine (or so) People You’d Like To Get To Know Better

Last Song I Listened To: I needed some music to write so I was listening to Lana Del Rey's latest album but it didn't fit the mood of my writing, so I switch to her other song 'White Dress'.

Currently Watching: I'm currently watching Kan Çiçekleri (a turkish dizi as you can guess) on a blood feud being settled by a marriage. It kinda reminds me of all the fanfic tropes that we all write for our OTPs (OmG, there was only one bed, pretending to be married/together, stranded in the rain etc.) It's frustrating because it's extremely slow burn (with a lot of flashbacks of the same or previous episodes and slow motions). I am also watching “When Hope calls" pioneer ladies taking care of an orphanage... And I was just checking out “Mahmut ile Meriem" an azeri-turkish production because I realized that an actor I liked was in it. I won't continue because... My brain will melt.

Currently Reading: I was trying to read Milan Kundera's “The Unbearable Lightness of Being“ as I realized when he passed away that I hadn't read any of his books. But... I'm finding it quite dull and depressing... Although it's very well written. So I'm going to read some short stories by Rosamund Pilcher. Her stories are always so soothing. I'm actually looking for book suggestions. I want to read something nice, well written... Since Devil Copperhead, I haven't read anything good. I really need to read a good book. As always, I'm also keeping up with my (almost) daily Quran reading.

Current Obsession: My cat's comings and goings. He's the most fascinating creature I've known. Is he training me or am I training him? He wakes me up at dawn and yes... it's a good thing because I rise to pray but... he's the one calling the shots. He hunts both birds and mice but only eats the birds (much to my heartbreak) Is he part maine-coon? That's why the rain doesn't bother him that much? How can I make him not bite and scratch him when I want to cuddle him? Will he forgive me for not letting him out at night? I have to hold my tongue because I talk too much about him.

Now to be completely honest i did make a list for 2021 and promptly forgot about it until december when i realized that i still had 6 books left to read on that list (including a 830 pages books) and while i did manage to binge read all of them it stressed me tf out. That being said i hate nothing more than learning from my mistakes so here are the nine books (half of them are actually series i want to finish lmao) that i'll definitely not forget to read throughout the year.
