Thoughts on 3x09

Okay it wasn’t bad, though I am disappointed in some respects, mainly the same respects as last week

I know Kadena is happening again, knew that last week too, but I swear to fucking god if Kat cheats on Tia I may not watch anymore. It’s not okay to show a bisexual women as cheating twice on the only two love interests she’s had, EVEN if it agrees with your ship

That being said, this episode did help reestablish Kadena a little bit more for me and so if Kat tells Tia the truth about her and Adena i will accept it despite my hopes for Tia because i feel Adena helped Kat out with her anxiety a lot more than Tia did- I still wish Tia hadn’t been used only as a future conflict for Kat to choose between her and Adena AND for that whole relationship to be thrown out the window but oh well- I felt like I really invested myself in Katia and then bam all for nothing, so I’ll never quite get back on board

Now to Pinstripe- I knew what they were gonna do the minute he had the phone call, and I think it’s a weak plot twist/conflict source. I said it. Weak. So very weak, especially when his touring lays out a way better and stronger option for conflict at their feet, despite them not taking it; Pinstripe and Jane growing apart in being apart. They could have found out that they couldn’t handle the distance, or that they were so busy that they didn’t have time to maintain their relationship, or whatever

And to all the people who are like “cancelled” to Ryan,, hypocrite much? With Kadena? I don’t know- and on top of all of this Kat didn’t win the election because this show is afraid to move the characters outside their current careers and develop them in a broader more interesting way and yet again now I’ve invested myself in something that came to nothing, and instead of getting to see a bisexual biracial women represented on tv as someone working to help protect the rights of women and so much more as an elected city official with her peppy super cute political manager, I don’t get that

I just feel like this season had me invested in things that they threw away in order to create conflict or stay within their comfort zone and I was so excited at the beginning and now I’m left a bit empty

    There's an immediate frown tugging at Scarlett's lips in regards towards Dawn's little snark. While she was tempted to let Augustus know, the actress attempted to keep her mouth shut. For the time being. She just didn't get why Dawn wasn't fully accepting of her. She was nice enough to her, wasn't she? She just ... didn't think she should have been making that much of a mess, that of course she would have to eventually clean up herself. 

"Dawn, I ── " Oh, okay. Yeah, she wasn't expecting that response. & Yet it still hurt considering she was supposed to be dating him. Teal colored hues shift to look anywhere else but at the small tea-cup poodle. Hand grips onto her left arm, frown growing especially when the young child decides to continue to try & tear her down. 

Sighing softly, Scarlett takes a moment to collect herself before trying again. "I know I'm not your mom & I honestly wasn't trying to be. Dawn, I just don't want you to end up getting hurt or if your father sees the mess, get in trouble. You know ? " She's still a tad bit hurt from the earlier remark, but it doesn't stop the actress from trying. 

"Look. How about I order us whatever you want to eat & we can relax with one of your tea parties ? "
