Solo noise+ project Teethgrynder, led by UK-based artist and multi-instrumentalist Jay Thurley, has shared a new video for the song "Devilman" from the forthcoming new record, Hostages -- a song that also features a guest appearance by Rob Vaughan of Bossk on guitar and synth. Overall the project is dark and atmospheric while contrarily aggressive and harsh. Other artists to appear on the record include Richey Beckett, Lisa Mungo (Filth Is Eternal), Neil Kingsbury (Fall of Efrafa), and more -- "maybe even David Yow" (The Jesus Lizard) the press release coyly states. Hostages releases Oct. 29 via Isolation Records. Check the "Devilman" video here: via Scene Point Blank music news feed

Fresh off a new split EP with No Breakfast Goodbye, Dutch punk band Ink Bomb has shared a rework of their 2016 song "Invincible Summer." The original version was "nice, but with lots of room for improvement," says guitarist Quirijn Foeken. “When I finished recording our split with No Breakfast Goodbye, I revisited our older songs -- as I always do. If you listen tot the version of Invincible Summer we played in Doornroosje, you’ll notice it sounds more intense than the studio version. With a higher tempo, more vocals.” Check the updated take here: Invincible Summer '21 by Ink Bomb Ink Bomb released their only full-length, to date, in 2019 (Fiction). via Scene Point Blank music news feed

Fake names is back with a new 3-song EP, following the band's 2020 self-titled album. This time around the band sticks with the self-titled route again. Guitarist/vocalist Brian Baker says: “I love the EP format...So many of my favourite bands growing up (Damned, Clash, Black Flag to name a few) issued EPs between albums, and they were always special to me. They came in all shapes and sizes, and they were comprised of songs that were available nowhere else. Sometimes these records teased the style and sonics of a bands’ forthcoming full length, sometimes they were complete departures that sounded like different bands entirely! In all cases they were records that made me feel closer to the bands, giving me a window into what was coming next or what they did when no one was looking. The ‘Fake Names EP’ was recorded in this spirit. In addition to Baker (Minor Threat, Dag Nasty, Bad Religion), the group also features Michael Hampton (S.O.A., Embrace, One Last Wish), Dennis Lyxzén (Refused, International Noise Conspiracy, INVSN), and Johnny Temple (Girls Against Boys, Soulside), plus guest drummer Brendan Canty (Rites of Spring, Fugazi) on this set of songs. The EP is available now via Epitaph Records. via Scene Point Blank music news feed

From Aarhus, Denmark, hardcore band Roselyn has shared a new single -- the title track from the forthcoming Alive At Zero, which will release officially on Sept. 3 via Prime Collective label. “Humans have a strong survival instinct and this song is a battle cry from zero. Maybe we need something to lean on, to crawl our way up from the bottom?”, vocalist Ebbe Ryberg says of the meaning behind it.  The band has previously released two EPs: My Surrender is a Victory (2013) and Heartmatter (2014).  via Scene Point Blank music news feed
