Just found that for some reasons, my images where not importing correctly in my Obsidian, so I redid a lot of insertion of them. Pff.
It also took me 2h to make my notes of the live of this morning readable. The professor was going everywhere and nowhere at the same time. That was ... something. And that was an important basics on how to finance a business in France, so I needed the note to be readable and easy to search in the future. I did my best.
Also needed to shower my cats because of fleas. Not fun for anyone of us, but at least all the house AND the cats are clean. There was so much fleas feces on our older cat ... They were both treated last month, so that's odd. But maybe we were not diligent enough with all the things in the house. They should feel better now.

The weather was so nice ! We had a meeting, so we did it outdoor. 2 hours of work with nice people and the wind ? The nicer meeting of the year so far. I saw a ladybug too ! (an asian one)
Productivity wise, I did a lot of notes and moving things. Some research to complement a course ("how to welcome people" that are NOT neurodivergent friendly, so I found official docs for that and added it, because no, I will not stare into the soul of everybody and no I will not force myself to smile, I'll only be friendly and helpful).
And I found the time this morning to have a nice shower session where I did deep cleaning/scrubbing before and lotioned myself after. I could have cut my hairs too, they need a little maintenance on that side, but I didn't want to bother : I already did so much. I'm squicky clean ! Even my teeth !

I added some more to my pseudocode note following this GameJam, so here's my notes:
Tumblr media
Pseudocode is an informal, high-level description of a program's logic. It acts as a bridge between the problem statement and the actual code, helping you outline the steps to solve a coding task before implementation.
General Principles
Clarity: Write pseudocode that is easy to read and understand. Avoid jargon or unnecessary complexity.
Simplicity: Focus on the core logic and omit irrelevant details. Simplify wherever possible.
Consistency: Use consistent naming conventions for variables and functions
Descriptive names: Choose names for variables, functions, and steps that make their purpose self-explanatory (e.g., calculate_total instead of calcTot).
Consistent indentation: Use consistent indentation to indicate blocks of code and hierarchy, visually representing the flow and making it easier to follow the logic.
Language agnostic: Good pseudocode should be understandable regardless of informatics language.
Best Practices
Start with the problem statement: Restate the problem in your own words before writing pseudocode. This ensures clarity.
Avoid code syntax: Focus on the logic, not specific syntax (e.g., write loop through the list instead of for i in range(len(list))).
Use natural language: Write in plain human language that describes actions (e.g., Add 1 to the counter instead of counter++).
Use bullet points or numbered steps: Structuring pseudocode as a list improves readability.
Refine and review: Simplify and clarify until the pseudocode is easily understandable.
Think as a reader, not the writer: Imagine someone else reading your pseudocode. Is it clear and understandable?
Test with real problems: Write pseudocode for real problems to practice and improve.
Structure
1) Start with a high-level outline a) Define the main steps of your algorithm or process. b) Break down complex problems into smaller, manageable parts. (Example: Instead of "Solve the problem," write "Sort the list" → "Search for an item.") 2) Comments for explanation a) Use inline comments or notes to clarify decisions or logic that might not be immediately obvious. 3) Break down tasks a) Divide complex tasks into smaller, reusable components (e.g., use functions or procedures for repetitive tasks). 4) Include edge cases and error handling a) Consider edge cases: mention how edge cases are handled (e.g., empty input, null values, invalid values, or extreme conditions). b) Error handling: describe how errors are managed (e.g., "If input is invalid, prompt user again"). 5) Document assumptions and dependencies a) Assumptions: clearly state any assumptions you make about the input or the environment. b) Dependencies: note any dependencies or preconditions needed for the pseudocode to work.
Common Constructs
Variables Clearly state what variables are and their purpose. (e.g., counter to track iterations).
Conditionals Use simple and clear conditional statements: (Example: "If the item is found, print success. Else, continue searching.")
Loops Clearly define the loop type and its purpose.
Functions/procedures Define the purpose and parameters of functions. (Example: "Function find_max takes a list as input and returns the largest number.")

Also known as "knowledge network", "zettelkasten"(slip-box) or "second brain", Obsidian help you transform your note-taking system into a streamlined, efficient process that enhances your reading, writing and thinking.
Before you begin
Keep it simple (and stupid):
Don't strive on a perfect setup, it will improve with time while adapting to your need/usage
Avoid overcomplicating your system, start and keep a minimal setup focused on essential features (no complex plugin or features that do not contribute to your core objectives)
Embrace the slow process and you should keep it that way for better learning (speed reading is not a good mix for learning and analysing)
It boost memory
Help ideas make more sense over time
Why use Obsidian
Understand more of what you read:
Connect ideas, linking related concepet so you understand all the sides/context/informations of an idea
Avoid isolation, store ideas in a way that relate them to others, creating a cohesive system
Easily search your knowledge, all your ideas/notes are in the same place, making it easier to search within them and revisit them
Have an easier time writing:
As you read/watch/take notes of stuff, you see topics coming naturally forward, so you know what interest you to write
You have an easier time rearranging the topics to help you make a book or essay
You can reuse your notes as many time as you want, they're not contained within one only project
It's like you're making yourrself a personal assistant that only got better with time and enhances your thinking
Setup guide
Download and install Obsidian
Choose a name for you vault and a place (folder) for it:
A vault is the folder of all your notes, tags and other files
If you choose a Gdrive (or any other cloud storage) folder and have a syncing tool, you can haveacces to your vault on multiple device
Create folders to organize your vault:
Notes (where all your notes live, including brainstorming, to-do list to research or notes on source material)
Index (when a tags become too big to really navigate easely, you make an index files where you link your notes in a logical order, alike a book index)
Templates (for reusable templates)
Create some useful starter files:
Tags reference (a list of all the tags you use and their description)
To-do list (to track your progress on a subjecs or topics you're studying, you can add checklist and progress trackers)
Adjust settings for efficiency:
Default note location: go to Settings > Files and links > Default location for new notes > and set your main Notes folder
Appearance: cuztomise the way Obsidian look, go to Settings > Appearance > Play with the setting here if you want
Templates : enable the core Template plugin and set up the folder for templates under Settings > Templates
Hotkeys : assign custom hotkey for frequently used action, like inserting template (CTRL+T for example)
Tips for using Obsidian
Tags:
Keep them focuced: don't make them too vague or too specific
Think about reuse: if you won't use a tag again, don't create it
Personalize: keep them oriented around your interest and goal (it's YOUR system)
Notes:
Make them easy to read: use white space and formatting to keep notes organized and visully appealing for easier reading
Use Markdown: formating faster inside Obsidian (https://facedragons.com/personal-development/obsidian-markdown-cheatsheet/)
Prioritize connections: link notes to related ideas or topics as much as possible
Learning mindset:
Experiment: your system will evolve as you get comfortable with Obsidian
Start small: focus on capturing ideas and connecting them, advanced feature can come later

But I need some body doubling to keep myself motivated in the long run, so here's a gentle challenge to ease into my new study, with each day the focus on a small progress/win to gain some dopamine boost. I will use it as a flexible guide while streaming on Twitch most morning and some afternoon.
About My Formation
My course covers key areas to prepare me for an office or accounting role: - Administrative Skills: Learning effective office management, organization, and planning. - Accounting Fundamentals: Getting hands-on with bookkeeping, budgets, and understanding financial transactions. - Business Law & Regulations: Navigating the essentials of tax and legal compliance for businesses. - Communication Skills: Developing professional communication for smooth customer and team interactions.

Effective note-taking while learning an online course
Taking effective notes is more than just jotting down what you hear in a lecture or read in a book: it's a strategic process that enhances your understanding and retention. Whether you're a student, professional, or lifelong learner, mastering the art of note-taking can elevate your ability to learn and apply new concepts.
Understand how you think to adapt your note-taking style
Verbal thinkers:
Process information through words and language.
Excel with text-heavy, sequential note-taking styles.
Visual thinkers:
Object visualizers: Think in detailed images, excel in hands-on fields like art or engineering.
Spatial visualizers: Think in patterns and abstractions, thrive in areas like physics or architecture.
Mixed thinkers:
Combine both styles to adapt based on the situation.
1) Understand the purpose of notes
Before diving into techniques, it's essential to know why you take notes. Effective notes serve three main purposes:
Capture key ideas: Focus on main concepts, not every word.
Aid recall: Notes should act as memory triggers.
Support active learning: Writing notes forces your brain to process information.
2) Prepare before the course
Preview material: Skim the syllabus, course outline or key readings to anticipate important themes.
Gather supplies: Notebook, pens, digital tools (laptops, apps like Google doc, Notion, OneNote, or Evernote).
Verbal thinkers: Use lined notebooks or text-based apps like Word or Google Docs.
Visual thinkers: Use blank notebooks, mind-mapping tools or apps like Milanote.
Mixed thinkers: Use a combination of both formats to capture ideas flexibly.
Set goals: Know what you want to achieve from the course.
3) Choose a note-taking method
a) Linear notes (basic listing)
Write down points in sequential order.
Best for: Simple lectures or storytelling. Best used by: Mixed thinkers
b) Cornell Method
Divide your page into:
Main section: Notes during the lecture.
Cue section: Keywords/questions later.
Summary section: Key takeaways at the bottom.
Best for: Structured review. Best used by: Verbal thinkers
c) Mind maps
Create a visual map with the main topic in the center and branches for subtopics.
Best for: Complex concepts or brainstorming. Best used by: Visual thinkers
d) Outline method
Use bullet points with indentation for hierarchy.
Main Topic
Subtopic
Details
Best for: Well-structured content. Best used by: Verbal thinkers
e) Flow notes
Combine visuals, arrows and text to show connections.
Best for: Dynamic, fast-paced lectures. Best used by: Visual thinkers
4) During the lecture
Listen actively:
Focus on understanding, not transcribing verbatim.
Identify cues:
Look for emphasis (repeated ideas, instructor tone, slides).
Use abbreviations:
Shorten common words (e.g., “w/” for with, “b/c” for because).
Organize on the fly:
Use headings, subheadings and bullet points to keep things structured.
Verbal thinkers: Group ideas under headings or bullet points.
Visual thinkers: Sketch concepts or relationships between topics.
5) After the lecture
Review notes:
Fill in gaps, clarify confusing points and ensure everything makes sense.
Summarize:
Write a brief overview of what you learned.
For verbal thinkers:
Write summaries in your own words to reinforce understanding.
Use mnemonics or word-based memory aids for recall.
For visual thinkers:
Recreate diagrams or visual models from memory.
Annotate your notes with additional visuals to deepen understanding.
For mixed thinkers:
Pair visual summaries (like flowcharts) with verbal descriptions.
Practice explaining concepts both visually and verbally.
Test yourself:
Turn your notes into questions and quiz yourself for better retention.
6) Use digital tools for efficiency
Google docs/Word: Collaborative and easily accessible.
Notion/OneNote: Organize notes by topic with multimedia support.
Audio recorders: Complement notes for revisiting missed points.
7) Tips for retention
Revisit regularly: Spaced repetition improves memory (Ankis cards).
Condense notes: Create cheat sheets for quick revision.
Teach someone else: Explaining the material reinforces your understanding.
Review often: Reinforce your learning by revisiting and reorganizing your notes.
8) Stay organized
Label notes: Course name, date, topic.
Keep sections clear: Separate topics/modules with dividers or digital tags.
Backup notes: Use cloud storage for digital notes.
9) Adapt your style
Not every method works for everyone. Experiment with different approaches to find what resonates with your learning style. You may prefer digital tools, visual techniques like mind maps or traditional handwritten notes.
Tumblr media
Bonus : Make note-taking fun!
Learning doesn’t have to feel like a chore. Add creativity to your process:
Gamify learning:
Create quizzes with tools like Kahoot or Quizlet.
Challenge yourself with timed note summaries.
Go visual:
Use colorful infographics or mind maps to highlight connections.
Turn complex ideas into visual stories.
Role-play and scenarios:
Pretend to be an expert and explain your notes to an imaginary audience.
Apply concepts to real-life situations to deepen your understanding.
Mix it up:
Use flashcards for quick reviews.
Watch videos or listen to podcasts on your topic to reinforce learning.
Collaborate:
Discuss your notes with peers or teach someone else for better retention.
Establish a routine:
Dedicate 20–30 minutes daily to review notes.
End each session with a mini-quiz or creative recap.
Tumblr media
Bonus : Mastering layout and formatting for effective Notes
A) General layout principles
Start with a clean slate
Use consistent margins for a neat look.
Leave ample white space between sections to avoid visual clutter.
Margins create a visual boundary that organizes content, helping your brain process the information in chunks.
Leave at least one blank line (or 1.5 spacing in digital notes) between different topics or ideas.
They provide room to add comments, symbols or questions during reviews without cluttering the main content.
Number your pages to keep notes in order.
Add descriptive titles for easy navigation.
Include date, course title or lecture topic in the header.
Prioritize legibility
Choose readable fonts if typing (e.g., Arial, Calibri).
Write neatly if using pen and paper.
Use headings and subheadings
Bold or underline main headings.
Use numbered or bullet-point subheadings for organization.
Color coding for clarity
Assign colors to categories (e.g., red for key terms, blue for examples).
Avoid overusing colors: stick to 2–3 for consistency.
Use bold or underlined text for essential ideas.
Highlight terms, dates or definitions for easy scanning.
Handwritten: Invest in multi-colored pens or highlighters for emphasis
Digital: Use formatting tools like bold, italics, and bullet lists.
Visual coding for enhancing the important part
Add icons, images or colors to make connections intuitive.
Insert tables, diagrams, or charts to organize data visually

Today was a nice day.
I took good care of myself, did only one nap, did some creative work, did a lot of studying and had a nice day. I found out this morning that I forgot my monthly dose of B12 and vitamin D. Thaaaat's maybe why I was so sleepy.

Made myself a triptych for my to-do list. Last month I used a paper to-do-list pasted on my phone, and having it was so useful for me. I also tend to use post-it to make side-to-do-list, so it was something to keep in mind to make a better system for myself. Last week I tried to have my to-so list and tarot tips pasted on my main screen, it worked for me really well, but was not movable. So I choose to make myself a 2 A5 screen with all my papers: I could move it and add multiples post-it or paper. Then I saw this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6KrvFNrfFGg&t=631s (it's really great, watch it) and had to add another A5 so I can have my 3 main project on it.
For the technical (if you want to do it too) : - It's 3 A5 cardboard that are really non-bendable, scotched together with space between so I can fold all the panels - I used paper, electrical scotch and washi-tape to decorate it.

Here's what will be the gamification of my week. We're going to SPACE ! As I did not studied this week-end, I have again a backlog. The fact that we still have 8h to do each week-end and that we don't have any day off make me so anxious each start of the week. I already struggle to do the 4h a day I need to do. Errh. Will do my best again this week and hope it will suffice.

Monday: Let's see if I can peer pressure myself to do things x') ! What are your own weekly to-do list for this one ? Sunday: I did a big update of this blogpost to make it fancy with a design. I'm loving the vibe ? I also reorganized so it's more clear where I should focus. I only did the minimum this week, I was having my period and it came with a depressive episode (due to my mental illness) and so much dysphoria. I was not mentally available for half the week, it show. But I saw my psychologist and talked about my goals, so I should be more focused next week.

I FINISHED THE PROPORTIONALITY MODULE ! I was on it since november. It took me so much time to understand and be able to do the exercices by myself while understanding them. I'll always hate maths with my whole being, but at least, I'm done for now. (now I need to do another math module, more about accounting maths '>>)
