I think what originally drew me to this game is that it reminded me of Oneshot, but now that I’ve actually looked into ur game I really like how fancy it actually is! You actually have a very unique idea(at least for me, I don’t do much horror stuff though) Good job!! 👏👏👏👏👏

O I didn’t make anything happen, if you try to get in the pool through the ladder you hit Invisible Wall--I don’t imagine Oliver is a very good swimmer so honestly you can think of it as him being like nah (maybe if i wind up updating again ill add a small comment about that actually

tho now that i think it, if ur swimming in the pool and someone happens to press the switch that causes all the water to drain out ......hmmm that doesn’t sound fun....

What is the exact difference between a corrupted spirit and a normal spirit?

A normal spirit probably acts like a regular person hanging around in either the human or spirit world except more floaty and transparenty, probably wants something although sometimes the shock from death messes up their memories, and they will move on once they get what they need.

A corrupted spirit is a spirit that has stayed too long in the human world, and/or has become overwhelmed by negative feelings. Once corrupted, they create a pocketed space/a spirit world. These spirit worlds are dangerous and sometimes suck in other unsuspecting spirits (who can become affected and contribute to said dangers of the larger spirit world...think about the chasing rabbit) and people can be dragged in too :( Usually the corrupted spirit loses control of their own actions so everything sucks for everyone involved...they’re able to be saved like a regular spirit but it’s definitely a lot more dangerous and time-consuming

How did Fukase contribute to Ryuto’s death? Fukase obviously feels awkward around the smol boi, was it another situation similar to Oliver? Or was he guiding Ryuto and they were attacked?

I guess these aren’t really spoilers since. this is about information I included in the scrap room

I imagine it was not keeping a close enough eye on him! :( I imagine Fukase was busy enough solving all the puzzles and helping spirits and trying to stay alive in the Spirit World //without// having to watch over a kid on top of it...another thing is I think it overestimated him bc. to it, most humans are like babies compared to how old it is,,i dont think it realized just how much ryuto, a what, 8 year old? really Really needed an eye kept on him

In the bonus room, there is dialogue between Miku and Fukase where Miku tells Fukase that if it needs help then it should go ask Piko. Is Piko another Spirit Unraveler? If so, I wanna ask if you ever gave thought to Flower’s standing in this AU(human, spirit, spirit unraveler) I was just thinking that 3/4 of the meme squad was mentioned and so why mot ask about Flower. XXD

Piko is another Spirit Unraveler, yes! I’ve actually written a few things with them and they recently appeared on my Fukase’s ask blog (a spinoff ask blog from this game’s Fukase) in case u wanna see them

I have given them a thought! They’re a Spirit Unraveler too put in a kind of leadershipish position, I’ve written one or two things with them too! They uh. Aren’t really close with Fukase or Piko tho

Will there ever be merch? Or do you have a merch store for your general account? (My New Years resolution for 2021 is gonna be: become top fan of After School Vocaloid Rpg)

Oh my god I don’t think this technically incomplete game has nearly enough of an audience for that ahaha If I ever make a bigger Vocaloid-related game in the future, maybe????? But Fukase in particular might have some issues if I tried something like that ... Also the Yuki, Oliver, and Ryuto in this game will definitely not appear in the future :(

Working with merch companies and dealing with money like that sounds a little complicated though so I don’t even have a general merch store, the most I can do is handmake badges privately and contribute to zines

So, the scene where Oliver finds Ryuto kind of raises some questions: did Kaai Yuki just get her hands on Ryuto when he became a spirit? Did Ryuto just accidentally stumble into the room? Why is there the bad ending with the axe— it it just because you broke public property and that’s a nono? Or was Kaai Yuki trying to ‘protect’ Ryuto in her own way?

Hmm, I’m not entirely sure what you mean? Corrupted Yuki (the one with the distorted form) doesn’t really have any thought process she just sorta chases after Anyone (I’m sure she presents as a danger to Fukase and Miku too). Ryuto probably “woke up,” wandered around but was found by Corrupted Yuki, and he got scared and wound up finding a hiding space in the closet? my memory is bad but I’m pretty sure he vaguely relays how it all happens?

and the reason for the axe is because!! you can’t close the wall you broke!!! if you break the wall, you have no defense when she comes along. if you noticed when you get the key, the first thing Oliver does when he senses Yuki coming is he locked the door, which bought them enough time to escape

According to what I’ve posed on the itchio page, the plot is generally:

Oliver spends a lot of time wandering around the desolate side of town. When a heavy downpour starts, he stumbles upon a school he's never seen before.

Playing as Oliver, you find yourself in a "Spirit World," an alternate dimension hosted by a single corrupted spirit. You meet new characters (Fukase, Point, Ryuto, Miku), and help spirits along the way while keeping an eye out for the corrupted host spirit. The player must help Oliver escape this world safely, while navigating the dangers it throws his way.

That’s. Literally the basic plot haha, most of the fun of the game comes from the interactions, puzzles, and smaller details and stuff haha...I have a let’s play on my channel (linked to the itchio page) specifically for people who can’t play for whatever reason, but there are at least three-four let’s plays out there other than mine in case my play/commentary-style isn’t for you :)!

Hello, me again! Sorry for bothering u, idk if you like asks or not. If you do I will totally spam u more questions as I think of them. I watched your let’s play videos, and I was wondering: in your bonus room it says that everyone is dead but Oliver, and 90% of the cast doesn’t know that they are dead. So are the characters like Miku, Fukase(brief mention of Kaito and Gumi) aware that they are dead? Is that what makes them special?

I don’t mind questions! especially if they’re related to After School things (since this game is its own contained thing and won’t be developed further), when it comes to Spirit Unraveler stuff I might not be able to answer every single thing because I might have certain stuff come up later like. in future games or fanfiction or smt I don’t know sdgdsg

Oh did I say 90% of the cast doesn’t know they’re dead? If I wrote that, I probably was like “that 10% is Oliver who knows he’s alive and actually is--” or maybe I was thinking ahead to the plot point where Ryuto uh ... eventually finds out he is :( but Fukase, Miku, Kaito, Gumi, Point, etc, don’t know at all 0: (I’m ok revealing this bc. I seriously do not plan for them to find out ever) What makes them special is that they’re a totally different type of existence from Yuki or Ryuto (who are spirits and have to disappear eventually) or Oliver (who’s a normal human and will go back to business as usual if he gets out of the spirit world)
