the more i learn abt hwang kwanghee's idol career the more bewildered i am.

i believe i saw him first as a host for weekly idol, I think the guest were either skz or nct dream

by that time I didn't think he was an idol, that he was their 2nd gen sunbae, I just thought that he was one of the many famed hosts and mcs of variety shows, thankful that he took care of the boys kindly

tHEN I went back to binging 'we got married'

and HIS NAME popped up

THERE I FOUND OUT THAT HE WAS AN IDOL

AND THAT HIS GROUP MEMBER IS IM SIWAN

whom I saw in run on and it was such a lovely drama with a lovely ost and mr im himself was lovely

this revelation was a bit of a wtflipping smokes moment subdued only by me being distracted about wgm

these two people? in the same group? who'd have thought!???

in my defense, I wasn't paying much attention when reading through siwan's career

back to WGM

it started off real awkward but man...

I tell you those two just matched up really well

he does look different if you compare his wgm looks (which was from 2013) to his recent 2020s contents

it could be surgery but it could also be how the styling for this decade and 2018 upward changed a lot since early 2010a kpop, hairstyle and all

or he just hit thirty and the fat melts by themselves

can you believe it’s not only the new year, but a new trimester ?? crazy, crazy, crazy . . . but !! with a new trimester comes a new plot call / thread tracker !! sunhwa is definitely has a lot going on to start off the year with, so i’m super excited to get some plotting done and freshen her up. ♡

seeing as she’s participating in bullet inquiry with a supporting role ( ryu dahyun, a veteran agent with an incredible amount of skill under her belt and an even more incredible amount of hate for men, teehee ), that’ll be her primary focus for the time being. however, she’ll also take part in a portion of the planet influencer activity !! none event threads are also welcome, so if you would like to plot, please let me know !! ♡

sejun can’t believe sunhwa’s getting her own apartment. if he hadn’t been placed with kiha, sejun’s not sure how long he would have gone crazy with a pack of random roommates. kiha mostly keeps to himself and his side of his room, which is nice for sejun. his parents are still in the city, not to far away so he’s able to spend a weekend or two in his room where all his art stuff still resides. still to have a space that’s all your own under legacy entertainment; he thinks sunhwa is pretty lucky. 

“i think this is the last of the boxes,” sejun says setting it down on the floor of sunhwa’s new place. “it helps that these places come fully furnished. i don’t think i’m strong enough to carry a couch up those stairs.” sejun laughs a little and stretches his arms above his head so his back stretches. “do you need help unpacking? i don’t have anything to do, so my afternoon is all yours.” 

sejun walks forward, putting his hand on sunhwa’s arm and pushing a strand of hair from her face. “but it’s exciting to have an apartment all to yourself, huh? how are you gonna decorate?” sejun takes a step back, a smile on his face as he walks to her fridge to grab a water. “i wish i had my own place,” he says to her, musing softly. “you won’t mind if i’m here every other day, will you?”

the legacy trainees’ overseas schedule at the host companies thus far hadn’t been too different or overly difficult when compared to their experiences back home, and the language and culture exchanges between the host companies and the cities themselves were enough to keep things interesting. it was to be expected though, given the obvious barrier between south korea and the trainees’ host countries for the training period. although somewhat of a disruption in kiha’s day-to-day, he’s enjoying the reprieve from working and studying all the time, even if it was a part of his daily routine that he cycled through every day as expected, without interruption.

he finds he enjoys the quieter moments outside of their training the most. morning walks through tokyo’s quaint backstreets or coffee and a pastry in one of tokyo’s many parks with a good book. day by day he was confirming his status as legacy’s local recluse. he didn’t mind spending time by himself or having everyone go off and do things without him, although he was appreciative of the invites. but tonight, kiha figures he’ll take a leaf out of jiwon’s book of suggestions and invite someone to do something for once. he isn’t feelingly overly adventurous, but it’s somewhat of an achievement for the yoo kiha. he extends the invitation to sunhwa. 

the backstreets behind their temporary dormitories were beginning to quieten down as the sun was setting. despite working in a convenience store back home for a year or so, he was curious about the elusive japanese convenience stores, and kiha figured it might be a good opportunity to grab some candies and snacks for taeha, that is if they last from now until when they get back to south korea. which was weeks away. he didn’t like his chances.

kiha waits on the curb near their dormitories for sunhwa, not wanting to force her to meet him in some seedy, secret location. it was probably already suspicious enough that god forbid, the two of them were seen together. but they were literally going to the convenience store. it was literally down the street. kiha kicks at the pavement beneath his feet as he waits, picking his head up as he senses a bit of movement coming out of dormitories. “thanks for entertaining my attempt to live a little.” he says with a small, lopsided smile. “how are you?”
