Few days in #Pokhara and have a desire for trekking. The #Pokharalakeside is a relaxing day and the trek up to the hills above it can set you off on a 6 day trek or just a two day trek. As you arrive in Dhampus the mountains call to you for an adventure.

At the heart of all logistics the tinkle of bells as you step to the side and let these beautiful beasts go by carrying your supplies. #Trekking #Nepal

Trekking in Nepal, is not just about the high mountains and sitting looking at beauty. It takes time, effort, patience and endurance to get there. You don’t just achieve it, you have to work hard to get there and you learn more than just new words and phrases but your mind and consciousness will grow as well. Do you hear the mountains calling for your tired mind and body.

Sometimes the best breaks are those little tea shops with hot ‘Sel Roti’ and cup of sweet tea by the side of the trail with your backpack set to the side.

Nepal might be famous for mountains. But the street art here is absolutely fabulous. I found this exquisite piece in an unlikely small town called, ‘Dhankute’ in Far-East Nepal.

The herbs and medicines available by the roadside in Nepal are varied. Come to Bardia National Park for a trip to the jungle and try out the medicinal herbs.

Getting away from Kathmandu can be quite easy. Just a 20 minute flight and I was in Lukla airport on the famed route to Everest Base Camp

The oldest temple of the Kathmandu Valley, ‘Changunarayan’. Kathmandu is great not just for the temples, but every year there are cycle rides that go around the valley. I chose the 70 km ride and it was sponsored by UNESCO, so over the whole day of riding with around 300 other cyclists I got to see every world heritage site of the Kathmandu Valley, Absolutely spectacular day to be rewarded by experiences and adventure from the hard work put into it.

A happy ‘Shivaratri’, from SelbmarAdventures, the day the great god saved the world from annihilation. This massive statue is located in ‘Haridwar’ on the banks of the divine ‘Ganga’.

If you want to see Stupa’s you can also see them below ‘Junbesi’. Have a trek through to Everest base camp, and walk down all the way to ‘Jiri’.

There are a myriad of lanes in Kathmandu. Take your time, spend days explore each lane. There are gods in these streets, food to be eaten, people to meet and drinks to be had.
