Apparently the Nijisanji situation is so bad, it's being used in REAL TIME as part of law school lessons and mock trials. Actual lawyers are pointing out that this violated several Canadian, Japanese, and possibly more countries's privacy and disclosure laws as well.

Like holy fuck. They have fucked up big time.

There's entire threads on Twitter and 4chan where lawyers are going over the specific violations Doki's lawyers could have a field day with, using Niji/Elira/Vox/Ike's "our side" video as very easy evidence to site some violation or another.

And for the third time, I'm not really into Niji and keep getting into talents right before or after they announce graduation or are reborn elsewhere, strange habit, but 1. I hate companies mistreating their employees, 2. I hate bullying, 3. This is now, honestly and truthfully, one of those literal garbage fires you can't ignore once you gaze at it. Every day so far the hole Niji keeps digging gets dug deeper and deeper-

We're watching a corporation collapse in real time and pay severely for the mistreatment of its employees. Honestly I'm invested and need to see how this shit ends. This has ramifications for the vtubing sphere and even sets precedents for how similar cases like this will be handled in the future.

Doki, I hope you can live a happy life, because I respect the shit out of you, and I hope you get a lot of money out of this that you can do wonderful things with. Thank you for surviving and being alive

Nijisanji will not be operating out of Canada much longer.

TLDR, the bullshit they pulled today was a massive violation of PIPEDA. PIPEDA is essentially Canada's version of HIPAA, but it covers WAY more than just medical records. It's like HIPAA on steroids. Not just that, it applies to ANY corporate entity that operates in Canada, including those who hire independent contractors, like vtubers.

Twitter is a cesspool that I’m afraid of contributing to, so here’s the post I would be making there.

Millie and Luca have spoken up about not having a shitty time with Niji management. This is a GOOD thing. They don’t deserve that mistreatment. Moreover, this does not make them the bullies. Leave their asses alone.

Vox and Enna are well known members of Nijisanji for their creative endeavours, and obviously they haven’t graduated yet. This does not make them the bullies. Leave their asses alone and stop asking when they’ll graduate.

Ren just lost a genmate and now a senpai, both of whom were very positive and influential figures. He is not faking being upset for clout. You guys are fucking insane. Leave his ass alone and support him.

Rosemi and Elira have been said to be the last remaining pillars of NijiEN. This does not mean they’re the bullies, sucking up to management, the head of “cliques,” or have a moral duty to graduate. Leave their asses alone.

Anycolor threw every single talent under the bus for mentioning the “bullying by affiliated Livers” in their termination announcement. Anycolor is just trying to make themselves look good. Anycolor is not your friend.

These talents are understandably stressed, have just lost THREE important friends and coworkers, and now have the entirety of social media coming for them. Doki is not the only victim here. Their agency is going up in flames. They’re allowed to be upset.

Bro. She just wanted to play fucking Neopets man. She wanted to move on with her life and start over with fucking Neopets after regaining her will to live.

Idk if those three did this of their own accord or were threatened with termination if they didn't, but still? I'd rather have been fired. With their following it'd be easy as shit to start over. Even still, Nijisanji has displayed not only unprofessional behavior, but outright toxic and harassing behavior.

She survived an attempted suicide caused by a toxic work environment and poor management, so you fire her.

She tries to regain her life by restarting her old channel, so you release a business statement- officially aimed at investors- and say her termination will be ***negligible*** to profits.

She opens up a store and hits a subscriber milestone of 300k before her stream back. Knowing the internet hates you right now, YOU CHOOSE TO SELL MERCH instead of properly addressing and apologizing.

ON HER FIRST. GAME STREAM. BACK. After she has gone through mental hell, knowing she is suicidal, knowing she was looking forward to playing FUCKING. NEOPETS. Just to be fucking happy again. To do something her management wouldn't let her do. You have 3 of your top talents- timed at PRECISELY THE MOMENT SHE GOES LIVE TO START A NEW CHAPTER OF HER LIFE, JUST WANTING TO MOVE ON- release a "statement" that not only seems to be basically a loosely scripted "no u" statement, but also shoots themselves in the feet by revealing SOMEONE violated the fucking LAW to open case sensitive documents to disclose certain information to them- which is illegal, because only the lawyers were supposed to know those details. During her own stream, Doki started crying and had to end after only 30 minutes to contact her lawyer, but god damn she tried her best to keep a brave face and laugh it off.

And then. And then. Anycolor CEO makes a statement of his own- you know shit is bad when the CEO makes a statement, so what does he do first? Apologize- to INVESTORS.

That is just fucking CRUEL. That is cruel, and fucking STUPID by having Elira, Vox, and Ike say that shit, because the smarter thing for those three to have done in that situation would either to LEAVE if they were truly "besties" like they kept saying like Pomu, Mika, and other talents did (or are in the process of like Kyo), or like the other talents seemingly are smart enough to do, SHUT THE FUCK UP.

I will reiterate on the off chance anyone reading this thinks about auditioning: never aply to it. Go indie or try another company. For on the even OFF-er chance you ARE part of it: leave now, go indie, try another company, or shit do like Pomu and go back to school to try something else.

This was not professionalism, this is straight up targeted harassment at this point. At this point, I hope Doki takes the company for every fucking penny they're worth. You don't get to act like you're the ones in the right after clear and OPEN harassment and bullying, let alone whatever the fuck went on behind the scenes.

I didn't even care much for Selen other than she was Mumei Hololive's real life friend, but I'm actually somehow even more furious over today than i was in my last post about Doki's situation. How can you treat a human being like this? How can you, in a professional setting, behave this way and pretend you are the good guys? I didn't care about her before, but shit, I respect her now even more for standing up to that shit.

You cannot tell me that stream regarding Selen's termination was not deliberately scheduled at the same time as Doki's stream. A bit shady and fucked up for them to do so. Very disappointed that ANYCOLOR would tell three of their livers to address the situation instead of management doing it themselves. I feel bad for Elira, Vox, and Ike for having to speak out on the situation on behalf of ANYCOLOR. It shouldn't be the livers job to address legal issues of a company.

edit: Doki was ready to move on from the situation, for ANYCOLOR/Nijisanji management to pull this stunt WHILE Doki was streaming was beyond rude and fucked up. They knew they were on the losing side, so they felt like if they addressed their "side" of the situation, they'd probably win. As much as still have respect for the livers, this situation is going to stain ANYCOLOR and haunt them.

edit 2: Again, do not harass the livers. They're just doing what they're told to do. If sources are correct, Tazumi is going to release a video regarding the situation. Keep in mind that there are only so many things the livers can LEGALLY say on stream. You are not helping the situation by spreading hate.

i want to say, the fact that the dokibird situation is blowing up so much that not only am I seeing posts about it on my dash (I almost NEVER see vtuber stuff on my dash, and vtuber drama is even rarer) but my DAD heard about it because lawyers on twitter were discussing how fucked Nijisanji is...it's insane. I'm beginning to wonder if someone in my college class will end up asking if I've heard about it.

cuz like. my DAD. who is NOT into vtubers or anime or anything even close to adjacent to that stuff AT ALL. heard about it. from professional lawyers on twitter taking about how this is going to be taught in law classes as a prime example of "how to fuck everything up in the worst way possible."

To get everything straight with the Nijisanji situation:

- A fifteen minute statement addressing the “situation” by Elira, Vox, and Ike was released on Elvira’s channel while Dokibird was streaming

- Elira states that they were shown documents regarding Dokibird’s legal case that contained personal information, and that she was afraid of being doxxed

- Vox states that Dokibird as Selen “apparently recorded a private voice call” between the two of them without his knowledge

- It was stated the reason Selen’s cover was taken down was due to her not getting the full contents approved by management

- Vox claims that Selen talked about graduation and was planning on doing so, but went back on it

- The livers claim that the statements made by Dokibird/Selen are false

- Dokibird, during her stream and on Twitter, states that these were legal documents not meant to be seen by anyone but her lawyers and management/legal teams of Nijisanji

- Shitshow erupts on Twitter and other social media platforms

- CEO released a statement hours after, apologizing to shareholders, saying not much else of substance

It should be noted that legal documents, of course, will have the full names of the people involved. Dokibird also stated they contained her personal medical information.

Tldr: Nijisanji leaked legal documents to their livers, had them make a collective statement about them, shit went down, the CEO admitted that Selen was not “negligible”
