The weird little deer man haunts my every waking moment, so I’m posting this tiny part of what I’ve been writing just to get it out of my brain (and my notes app).

Yes, it’s an OC; crucify me.

For context; Takes place a few days after Alastor’s fight with Vox. Serena (OC in question) is Alastor’s wife. She’s got bird attributes and siren-like powers. She and Vox have a… complicated relationship.

Usage of powers are notated in purple. Also with fancy text, if it doesn't mess with the format too much (lmk I'll remove it).

A zip of electricity notified her to his presence before he spoke. “What are you doing here, Serena?” Vox’s voice came from a dark corner to her left, notably lacking the annoyingly bright grandiosity that it usually possessed. He sounded tired, defeated, and the rage boiling in Serena’s gut quelled for just a moment, confusion taking its place. She turned in the direction she’d heard him, searching him out. He was easy to find, despite the darkness of the room, the light emanating from the screen that served as his head making him unable to hide for very long. She gasped at the sight of him, broken and beaten before her, his screen covered in scratches and cracks, a sizable portion of it completely black. A pang of sadness ran through her, sympathy for the demon that she and her husband had once called ‘friend,’ who, despite being a fucking asshole, had never been anything but kind and considerate to her.

Serena shook her head to wave off the feeling, recollecting her anger, reminding her why she had come here in the first place. She glared up at him, hissing through gritted teeth, “Where is he?”

Vox blinked. “Who are we talking about?”

Serena growled, her fury reigniting in full force. “Where is my husband, Vox?” She stepped closer to him, her wings beginning to unfurl from where they wrapped around her shoulders, her fingers itching as she resisted the urge to claw the rest of his screen apart.

Vox huffed, crossing his arms, one hand moving to press against the center of his face, where his nose would be, if he’d only had one. “Oh, yeah, that asshole,” he grumbled, “I don’t know; haven’t seen him since our little spat.” Vox’s calm demeanor dropped as Serena abruptly closed the distance between them, backing him against the wall, one hand holding him in place by his tie, the other’s claws digging into the stone only inches from his screen.

She was angrier than he’d ever seen her, looming above him, her wings fully inflated, keeping her in the air, their hulking size blocking out any path of escape, staring down at him with the most lethal expression he had ever seen. "D̳̻̽̒O̪̟͔ͧͥ ̼̙͓̝̂̈́N̰͎͚̭̭̳̻̊̐͆O̪̟͔̝̦ͧͥȚͬ ̹͖̈́͑̋͑͑L͎͕̦̀ͫ̊̊ͨ͑I̗E̺̭͆̈͋̈́ͅ ̝̦Ț̳̻ͬO̪̟͔ͧͥ ͫͮͭ̃M̰̖ͤ̚E̺̭͆̈͋̈́ͅ!”

Her scream echoed in his bones, the words vibrating, burning into his skin, taking his body and bending him to her command. Her gaze was so intense, the neon of her irises was painful to look at, but he couldn’t look anywhere else, their glow lulling him back each time his eyes attempted to venture too far. Even once they were shut, her light called to him, but Vox resisted. “Alastor was here! He came HERE to meet with YOU, and now he is GONE! Where the F̣̙̣̟̺̳̭̖̦͒̐̒̀͑̾U̱̬̙̠̗͓̩ͩ̃͑̏C͕͓̝̝͉͉͖͔͑̈̉̋̒̉K̮͈̤̭͎̽̈́̌̋ IS MY HUSBAND?!”

The answer was pulled from Vox before its thought could even form, ripped from his tongue by some unseen force, “I DON'T KNOW!” Serena stiffened above him, but the hold on his tie faltered. The sensation of her loosening grip drew Vox’s attention, and he willed himself to face her glare once more. She was still angry, so furious that his knees wobbled in response, but there was something else written across her face, nearly outshined by the glow her eyes emitted; sadness, grief, a dam of tears that threatened to burst at a moments notice.

Her breaths were rapid, shallow puffs of air, blowing past his face, the scent floral and bloody. “What,” her voice hitched, breaking under the weight of the question that followed, “w-what did you do to him?”

Bloodshed: Part 1 - Sam

Welcome to the beginning of Bloodshed in collaboration with @losfacedevil! Here we kick it off with Sam. If you've read Boar's Head Inn and/or The Archer written by Crystal, then you probably have an idea of what this will contain. But if you need a refresher, then keep on reading!

Bloodshed Masterlist

Sam was on high alert. 

His eyes scanned through the trees in the forest in which he stood. His ears were perked up, every single one of his senses in overdrive as he ran through the forest he thought was never ending. He knew the beast was hot on his heels having taken off at a run when Sam tripped over its sleeping form. 

He was beginning to regret choosing the bow and arrows as his weapon for this trip, wishing that he had opted for the baldric with his sword instead. The quiver sat comfortably across his shoulder, the tail end of the arrows sitting just in his line of sight as he looked over his shoulder. 

The jaguar he had encountered was coming up on him fast, its amber eyes glistening in the morning light. Sam froze in place, reaching a hand up very slowly to draw an arrow from the quiver as he calculated the movements he would have to make. He swung his bow around from its resting place on his shoulder, slowly nocking the arrow in place. 

The animal slunk forward slowly, nose turned to the wind as he took in Sam’s scent. It bared its teeth, sinking down onto its front paws. Sam lifted his bow, pulling back on the string of it and sent the arrow flying. A growl emanated from the jaguar as the arrow missed him by mere inches. 

“Shit.” 

Sam took off at a run, struggling to toss his bow back over his shoulder in his dash to get away from the angered animal. His breath was held in his chest as he jumped over a prominent tree root in his path. Making quick work of his movements he threw the hood of his tunic up over his head and ducked in between the trees, his chest heaving as he tried to catch his breath. 

He pressed his back to a nearby tree, eyes trained on the path he had just scurried up, watching for any signs of life. His eyes fluttered shut softly as he leaned his head back against the bark, letting his bow slide down his arm as he let his guard down. He slid down the length of the tree and pulled his knees up to his chest, wrapping his arms around them as he laid his cheek against them. He took solace in the quiet and the thought that the wolf had turned its attention elsewhere; that was until —

Crunch.

The sounds of leaves being crushed under somethings feet cause his head to snap up and he reached over to the small knife that was on his belt. He stood slowly, peering in the direction the jaguar had been before slowly spinning in a circle scanning his surroundings. She peered around the tree to her left, bow drawn and arrow nocked as her eyes landed on the hooded figure. He stood with his feet shoulder length apart and his hand wrapped around the handle of a small hunting blade. 

She took another step forward, the sound of her boots against the dry leaves laying on the ground causing his head to snap in her direction. She took cover behind the tree again not wanting him to see her. Pulling his knife off of his belt he held it out in front of him and took a step in the general direction of her hiding place. 

“Who goes there?” His voice was barely a whisper, throwing a glance over his shoulder in the direction he’d last seen the jaguar. She stepped out from behind the tree and drew her bow once more, holding it up in front of her as she put pressure on the string. 

“I should be asking you that, this is not your territory solider.” 

Sam froze in place as she came into view, his eyes growing wide and the grip on his knife tightening as he took a step back. She made no move, keeping pressure on her bow as she assessed him. 

“What business have you here?” She straightened slightly, flipping her hair out of her eyes as she lined up the arrow in his direction. 

He sheathed his blade, swinging his bow around in front of him before quickly pulling an arrow from the quiver and nocked it. Both of them stood in a fighting stance, feet shoulders width apart, back straight and eyes focused solely on the other. 

“I veered off course late last night and was met with a jaguar, one who followed my every move and chased me farther into this uncharted territory.” 

Her eyes flickered to where her jaguar companion now lay, the same one she was sure he was met with in the early morning hours. He watched as her guard began to falter, letting the bow drop slightly before her focus fell back on him. 

“Styx is harmless unless provoked, have you provoked him?” Her voice was soft, fully aware he must have done something to cause Styx to react the way he had. Turning her attention back to the intruder at hand she pulled her bow fully back up into place, but let the arrow fall slack.

Sam dropped his bow fully, removing the arrow from the string and sheathed it into the quiver, deeming her a safe person. A sheepish gaze kissed his eyes as he reached up and removed the hood of his tunic. 

“I may have shot an arrow at him. I’m in unknown territory with an unknown jaguar on my heels, I thought he was viscous.” 

He reached up and pulled his long chestnut brown hair into a faux ponytail, resting his hand on the back of his neck as if soaking up the nervous sweat that lay there. She let her eyes wander briefly, taking in his features; his long chestnut brown hair, strong facial structure and the downturn of his eyes indicating exactly which territory he belonged to.

“You don’t belong here solider, they’ll kill you if they know you’re lurking.” Her tone remained soft, eyes scanning her surroundings. Sam threw his hands up in surrender, the easier way for him to show he meant no harm to her territory. 

“I was misguided in my journey, this is not my home and I’m unsure of the way back. Would you be willing to point me in the right direction?”

Sam stayed glued to the spot where he stood, hands never being lowered for fear she would think he was drawing a weapon. She wracked her brain, knowing the sun would be setting soon and it wouldn’t be safe for him to venture any further into the forest alone. 

An idea popped into her head, a favor an inn owner owed her seemingly being the answer to his situation. She crossed her arms over her chest, shifting her weight to one foot as she looked him over once more. To the naked eye he seemed harmless, but her gut told you otherwise; he was capable of many crude and unspeakable things. 

“Too late to point you anywhere, you’ll be eaten out in these woods at night. Consider yourself lucky the only animal you ran into last night was Styx.”

The jaguars head popped up at the mention of his name, his eyes scanning his surroundings and quickly landing on Sam. The jaguar pounced to his feet, baring his teeth as he slunk forward. She quickly stepped in front of the animal, shielding the solider from an attack that would quickly put him six feet under. 

“It’s okay, Styx, he is friend, not food.” She turned slightly, eyeing the animal as he sunk into a seated position. Turning back to Sam she shook her head, a gentle roll of her eyes sealing the deal. 

“Silly Spring realm townshipper, how have you found yourself here? Tangled up with someone who could have your head on a silver platter if she wanted to?” 

Her feet brought her closer to him of their own accord, slowly sauntering over to him as she slung her bow safely back over her shoulder. Sam began backing up, his hands still within sight as his back crashed into a nearby tree. 

“You’re lucky it’s me you’ve run into, because anyone else here would have sent you flying the moment they spotted you.” 

She was toe to toe with him now, her neck craned backwards as she looked up at the man who towered above her. His whole body shook as he cowered against the tree. 

“Yes ma’am.” He nodded his head slightly, the fear prominent in his gaze. She took one last once over of him, crossing her arms over her chest as she took a step back. 

“What’s your name solider?” 

He swallowed thickly, running a hand back through his now sweat dampened hair. His eyes landed on the jaguar sat just behind her, another wave of fear engulfing his senses before he spoke. 

“Kiszka, Sam.” 

She took a step forward, reaching up and grasping his chin with her index finger and thumb. His eyes quickly found her, fixated solely on how big your pupils had grown. 

“Well Kiszka, you’re in luck. I have someone who owes me a favor that can give you a room for the night — only because I’m asking them nicely. So pull any funny business and I’ll let Styx eat you for breakfast. Follow me.” 

She nodded in the direction she was headed, waiting only for Styx to rise and come up on her flank before setting off. Sam followed at a safe distance behind her, his eyes dancing all around the forest as to not bring any more attention to himself. 

“What business have you here? You never answered my question.” She shot a glance over her shoulder, slowing her walk to a near snails pace as the tall boy caught up to her and comfortably fell into step at her right flank. 

“I have no business here. The forest at night is not a safe place to be and I misjudged the timing of the light. I became lost late into the night and your buddy Styx found me early this morning. He’s been following me ever since. But then I lost sight of him and ended up tripping over him and that’s when he came after me.”

She nodded her head, his timeline made sense, as did the reason Styx charged him. A comfortable silence fell over the both of them as they continued their journey into town, glancing over her shoulder every once in a while to make sure he was still behind her. 

“Now you need to know they’re going to question your motive and will most likely have someone stand guard outside your door. You may be innocent but you’re not from here and worse? You’re from the rival realm. We’re going to be lucky she lets you say under her roof.” 

Sam pondered everything that had happened in the past few hours. He wasn’t sure why she was being nice to him or why she was trying to help him. He was grateful she hadn’t put an arrow through his skull and had deemed him as safe as she could. 

“I don’t want to risk getting you in trouble. Just point me in the direction of the Spring realm and I’ll be on my way.” 

She shook your head as she walked up the steps to the Wild Boars Inn, shooting him a look over her shoulder as she pulled the door open. Inside was warm, lit fully by candles and one singular overhead light. Tables were strewn about the room, long forgotten dinner plates still sat upon them. She made her way over to the room on her right, knocking lightly against the door frame before making her entrance. 

“Mabel my dear, I need you take you up on that favor.” She cooed, twirling her hair around her finger in the most innocent way. 

Old lady Mabel turned slightly in her seat pulling her glasses down her nose and she stared at her over the frames. She gave her a once over, taking in her appearance before her eyes landed on Sam standing sheepishly in the door way. 

“He is not one of us, Serena.” She nodded towards Sam, crossing her arms over her chest.

“Well, about him.” Mabel shook her head, her eyes never leaving Sam’s face. 

“Absolutely not, you don’t know what he’s capable of. He will not be staying in my inn.” She stomped her foot like that of a toddler, moving her hands in shooing motions as if to make Sam leave. 

“Mabel please, he’s gotten a little lost along his journey, was almost eaten by Styx and I almost put an arrow through his head. He just needs to stay the night and I’ll see him on his way home tomorrow.” 

The older woman mulled over what Serena has said, her eyes never leaving Sam’s forlorn face. She shook her head slightly and threw her hands up in the air as she stood from where she sat. 

“Fine, just one night and only because he looks so pitiful. Take him to your room.” 

She turned on her heel and nodded to Sam, walking towards and brushing past him as Mabel sat back in her desk chair. Sam spun on his heel and jogged after her, taking the stairs two at a time until he met her on the landing. 

“This is my room, just relax and don’t act out. I’ll be back in the morning.” 

Sam nodded his head as she unlocked the door and stepped aside. A soft ‘thank you’ slipped past his lips as she closed the door behind him.

Sam awoke in a panic, the sound of the bedroom door knob jiggling pulling him out of his slumber. Shooting out of bed he quickly fell to the floor, digging around the pile of his clothes for his knife. He stood to his full height, backing himself into the farthest corner of the room as the door swung open.

A scream escaped him as she walked through the door, clicking it shut softly behind her. He lowered his weapon, throwing his head back as a sigh of relief ripped through his chest. She shook her head at him, crossing her arms over her chest as she took in his appearance. 

“You should have said you weren’t decent.” She mumbled, plopping down on the bed with her back to him. Sam snickered, tossing his knife on the bed before bending down to scoop up his clothing from the floor. 

She turned where she sat, her eyes dancing up his almost fully exposed body as his attention was turned to the just beginning to rise sun outside of his window. Her breath caught in her throat as she took in the girth of his arms, how the muscles pulled the skin taut just so. The way his disheveled hair fell over his shoulders but frizzed out in certain areas. How his body moved when he stretched out his sore muscles. The pang she felt in her chest warning her to get him out of her presence and fast. 

“The sun isn’t even up yet, I was still asleep.” He groaned, slowly slipping his tunic on over his head. She sighed, turning so she was facing away from him once more. 

“I told you I’d be back in the morning.” She mumbled, picking at the hem of her dress. Sam chuckled, shaking his head as he slipped effortlessly into his pants. 

“Well yeah but I figured it would be when the sun came up, not at what four am?” He rolled his eyes, falling back into the bed after he was fully dressed. She peeked over her shoulder, shaking her head once more as she watched his eyes flutter shut. 

“What are you doing?” She mumbled, shifting so she could face him better. He threw his arm over his eyes and a contented sigh slipped past his lips. 

“Relaxing until the sun comes up, and I suggest you do too. It’s not safe in the woods until true dawn.”

She shook your head at the boy, his antics something she wasn’t used to. A sigh slipped past her lips as she stood, wrapping her hand around his wrist and tugged. 

“Absolutely not, let’s go.” 

She stalked out of the room and made her way down the stairs quickly, stalking out of the inn. Sam was hot on her heels, jogging to catch up to her as she quickly made her way to the woods. 

“You were really gonna leave me to fend for myself?!” He yelled, struggling with his quiver as he tried to sling it over his shoulder. She shrugged her shoulders, turning and walking backwards as she watched him catch up with her. 

“In all honesty I should have just let Styx eat you.” She chuckled, turning back around and continuing their journey into the woods.  

They both walked in silence for a while with nothing but the crunch of the Earth beneath their feet filling the silence. Sam watched her intently, his eyes dancing up and down the length of her form as she walked, taking in the way her hips swayed just right in the dress she had chosen to wear. He pulled a deep breath in through his nose and shook his head, shaking the sinful thoughts that engulfed his mind away as she spoke up. 

“You’re not far out from your land here, you were close last night but I wasn’t about to be the reason someone got eaten by a wolf out here.” She giggled, shrugging her shoulders as she turned left at a break in the trees. 

“You don’t want me eaten by wolves but would let Styx eat me for breakfast?” She nodded, keeping your head down. 

“You’d deserve it if I was telling Styx to eat you.” 

Sam shook his head, fighting off the primal urges that overtook his senses. She could feel his gaze boring a hole into her backside, shaking her head lightly as she threw a look over her shoulder. 

“So here’s the deal, you continue straight down this path and you’re going to walk straight into the Spring realm town square; and whatever you do? Don’t let me find you lost in these woods again, next time Styx might eat you before I can save you, solider.” 

Sam nodded, slowing to a stop as she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. He pulled a deep breath in through his nose, taking a tentative step towards her. His eyes bore every single thought in his mind as his lips quirked up. 

“You wouldn’t let Styx eat me or I wouldn’t be standing here now, would I?” She shook her head, reaching a hand out to push against his chest. 

“You heard me, now get going.” She giggled, nodding in the direction of the Spring realm. 

“Will I see you again?” He questioned, crossing his arms over his chest as he began walking backwards slowly. She shrugged her shoulders, waving him off as he got farther away. 

“Who knows, these woods are vast. Maybe we’ll cross paths again.” 

Sam nodded once as he turned on his heel and continued his walk back home. He shot a glance over his shoulder as he went, watching as her figure retreated back the way she had came.

Another colored pencil drawing and this time it’s Serena! This is her Pokémon Journeys outfit from JN105. I actually have another one of her though I like the ears here a bit better.

I think the neck, ears, and body to head proportions are definitely wonky here. Notice how I drew the hands behind her back. I don’t feel like drawing hands right now lol.

SHIPPER TAG GAME

Tagged by @lurkingshan and @stuffnonsenseandotherthings to dig into the vault. Friends, I have been Perpetually Online since 1995, when that meant I had to haunt my school library computer at lunchtime, so this is going to be for the fellow Olds. Sorry in advance for the HP mentions.

1. What ship were you completely obsessed with when you were a teenager, but now you don't care anymore?

Have I let any ships go? Hmm. I'll go with Mulder/Scully from X-Files. Watching now, they should definitely not end up together lol

2. Which ship would you consider your first one?

Sailor Mercury/Sailor Jupiter from Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon. I. Was. Obsessed. This ship hit me like a ton of bricks in I want to say 6th or 7th grade.

I watched the show as it aired with English dubs, found out the episodes we got were censored, immediately fell into my completionist ways, went to the Asian mall (it was literally pan-Asian with stuff from Japan, China, Taiwain, Korea, etc.) and got definitely not official VCDs with Mandarin subtitles, and would sit with friends who spoke Mandarin and had them translate the subs to English for me (I say this like I forced them, but they offered because they were my friends and they also felt passionately about people seeing the uncensored show). I then learned how to Internet and would trawl for fanpages of the manga (it would take 20 minutes to load an image at the time, so rather than full scanlations I'd get walls of text describing what happened with maybe a single panel illustration). Uranus and Neptune were fantastic, but I already had Ami and Makoto aka Mercury and Jupiter long before I got to the Uranus/Neptune episodes (or the Sailor Stars manga arc).

3. Your first fanfic belonged to which couple?

Definitely Sailor Moon fanfic was the first fic I read. It was an easy step from finding fan summaries of the chapters not yet out in English > finding fan sites with fanfic on them, back before we had archives or even decent search engines and you had to just find the sites you needed through links from other sites. It was like a whole new world of possibilities opening up. The first real fanfic community I was in was Harry Potter.

In terms of first fic I wrote, I am not a writer; I've only ever written a small handful of not worth mentioning ficlets featuring the Kirk/Spock ship (Star Trek TOS).

4. Do you remember the first couple you saw a fanart over?

Oh it was likely Serena/Tuxedo Mask from Sailor Moon and it was in person, because I had friends who got me into anime and manga early and they were artists who drew a lot of fanart.

5. Did you ever get into ship discourse?

Friends, I had a Livejournal. It was impossible not to get into ship discourse.

6. Did you used to have any no-otp or have it currently?

I am going to echo @stuffnonsenseandotherthings and @lurkingshan and say I was dead-set against Hermione as a ship with any of the men in Harry Potter (Hermione/Luna or Hermione/Ginny, though, we could talk), and I also really disliked Draco/Ron. I also am not here for Spock/McCoy (Star Trek), and I don't really enjoy Stucky (as in Captain America/Winter Soldier or Steve Rogers/Bucky Barnes from Marvel).

OH and can I be a hater on main for a second? The first couple that I remember hating as a thing was probably Jo and Professor Bhaer from Little Women; I was SO MAD they married in the end. I felt very validated years later when I read that the author Lousia May Alcott was forced by her publisher to marry Jo off and made up the couple out of spite.

7. Who were the couple in the last fanfic you read?

The last fic I read was a Word of Honour modern AU pairing Wen Ke Xing/Zhou Zishu in which they rescued stray kittens.

SInce I started this, I've also read a One Piece Luffy/Zoro fic (and that's not even my favourite ship--I've been a Zoro/Sanji girlie since the early 2000s! I'm weak for banter.)

8. Currently, do you have any OTPs?

I have so many. SO many. Truly. I don't even know where to start with this question! I follow several AO3 tags and fanfic writers that I get regular fic updates from. Most of my OTPs are either canon (from queer/BL/GL media) or the most popular ship (I feel very lucky that my taste is so basic). There is no one couple I love the most. Just going to throw a dart at the board: From BL, the one I come back to a lot is Hira/Kiyoi in Utsukushii Kare, because their dynamic is so intense.

9. Is there any couple that, to this day, you are extremely mad about not getting together?

Hmm. That's what fandom is for, so not really? I usually get more annoyed when people do get together that I wish had stayed platonic (never forgiving Pacific Rim for that kiss, it was so unnecessary). And I'm extremely mad about censorship, i.e. couples that DID get together but we didn't get to see it for whatever reason (see e.g. Uranus and Neptune from Sailor Moon Sailor Stars; Chinese danmei novel live-action adaptations). Otherwise there are lots of these but I just read the fanfic and recover. I'll say I'm still annoyed Buffy didn't get to have with Faith what she had with Spike though. Their chemistry was off the charts.

10. Is there any ship you used to dislike but now you think they are kind of interesting?

This is such a hard question. I came around a little on Lan Xichen/Jiang Cheng from MDZS/the Untamed, though it's still not my fave (it's a soft no not a hard no). I'll also give you an oldie: Andie McPhee and Pacey from Dawson's Creek. I hated Andie's character back in the day but now I like her character but really dislike how she was used in the show, which isn't the same thing. And I actually really liked how she and Pacey worked together.

I'll also give you a BL one: Kurosawa and Haruta in Ossan's Love. Ossan's Love s1 & 3 it was clear they were not OTP so that's a bit irrelevant anyway, but it's much less clear in s2 (the AU season) and the first time I watched it I wasn't sure how I felt about the way that season ended as much as I loved the season as a whole. I like it more every time I rewatch.

11. Do you have any ship that, in the past, was considered normal but now you would be cancelled over?

LOL I am with everyone else on the Brian/Justin train but since that's been said twice I'll go with something else. I was a big Harry/Draco shipper back in the day, which would now probably get me cancelled for shipping someone with his bully (though a significant part of the fun of that ship was about how Draco was such an ineffectual bully...but I digress), in addition to of course how the author's transphobia ruined the whole thing for all of us (fanfic doesn't make her any money, so I don't have a problem continuing to read it in theory, but it's left a sour note over my experience and makes any engagement in that fandom less fun).

12. What was your favorite crack ship?

I was one of those foolish people obsessed with Hawkeye/Coulson before we'd even seen them face-to-face or knew almost anything about MCU Clint Barton. I still read fanfic of that ship even though it's been fully jossed and makes no sense at all anymore. Ok one more, I really love the very small Breakfast Club fandom shipping Brian/John and Claire/Allison. I've read the few fics on AO3 for the queer pair ghost ships in that show multiple times.

13. Who is the couple you read more fanfics of?

Of all time, I've probably read the most Kirk/Spock fanfic. But that's due to the length of time I've been into the ship, the amount of time it's existed, and its popularity. I still read Kirk/Spock regularly.

14. What most of your ships usually have in common?

Honestly most can be boiled down to grumpy/sunshine pairs in which both are very competent in specific ways and both are hiding crippling self esteem issues behind their grumpy or sunshine-ness, and have strong but differing moral codes that they each respect in one another (and is usually where the feelings start). Banter is a must. I am admittedly also here for height difference in my ships. Double-plus bonus for terrible communicators who learn to understand one another's particular communication quirks.

Perfect encapsulation of this dynamic is Danny/Steve from Hawaii Five-0 (listen that show was copaganda trash but the fanfic was fun as hell).

15. What do you absolutely hate in a ship?

Power dynamics that remain unaddressed as part of the story. Hate to love that isn't earned over time. When the relationship makes each other worse rather than better. When they never learn to trust one another. When one of them is in it as part of a savior complex and that doesn't get challenged or worked through. When only one of them has a personality. There's very little that I'd say is a hard no in terms of dynamics or setup for me, but it has to be handled well, and sometimes I don't have the energy to give something the benefit of the doubt.

Hypothetical Pokemon Chronicles 2 episodes and murmurs

Goh and the Symbol of Knowledge! Under recommendation of Professor Cerise, Goh travels to Cerulean City in the Kanto region to study under somebody who’s knowledgeable in various Pokemon. Much to his surprise that somebody turns out to be one of the Kanto Frontier Brains, Noland! What can Goh learn from him when it comes to high intensity battles where you don’t get to choose your own Pokemon? And what’s with that chill in the air?

-Goh meets up with Noland, after all his specialty is battling with numerous different species of Pokemon.

-Probably some lesson to do with Noland and Articuno, about non-caught Pokemon having just as much of a connection as caught ones!

-I think it’d be neat if they had a non-official battle y'know

A Battle Between Contest Royalty!

While May, Max, Serena, and Lisia travel around Hoenn together they have a surprise encounter while signing up for the next big contest: one of the Top Coordinators, Marina, is rumoured to be participating too! Will this be an exciting time to show off their skills, or will their nerves get to them? One thing’s for sure, this will be a contest to write down in history!

-GEN ¾ STYLE CONTESTS. Both battle and appeal sections. -I think May is the one to get to fight Marina in the final round, surpassing Lisia and Serena! May deserves to win <3

-Get to check in with Marina other than a cameo after all these years! See how her Pokemon have trained and see if she has any new team members!

-Have a scene of their companions/friends/rivals from their travels watching on the tv <3 [put Chaz in the anime watching Lisia’s section with Wallace, maybe cameo Brendan too he hasn't been seen since late gen4, idk abt Serena but may has drew Harley and Solidad! Maybe Norman and Caroline cameo. VINCENT AND JIMMY FOR MARINA!!!!!!!]

A Lumiose Mystery! Looker gets reports of a mysterious person stealing other civilian’s Pokemon at night across Lumiose City, deciding to investigate the happenings right outside the Looker Bureau! But just why does his young assistant Emma disappear at night, leaving behind her trusted partner Pokemon around the same time? Are they connected? Just what does this Essentia person have planned? And why does Mimi seem so determined to investigate?

Fight to the finish!

During his travels in the Sinnoh Region, Jimmy has to wait out before the next big tournament battle opens up. He decides to take his time sizing up the competition, little does he know Team Rocket is on the hunt for an elusive Pokemon nearby. Without his travelling companions by his side, he has to get help from some newfound friends to win! Can he, Lucas, and Brendan win against a returning and more powerful Atilla and Hun? Or will they be unable to stop their capture of the legendary Pokemon Enamorus?

While enjoying some down time, Dawn and Zoey spend some catching up time together… But when a strange crack in the sky forms, can they work together to fight back the Pokemon that seemed to be summoned by the storm? And just what’s with these giant red eyed Pokemon?

Tracey Sketches It All!

Tracey takes advantage of a much needed vacation, choosing to get a ticket for the Magnet Train to see the sights of Johto! While travelling, just what rare pokemon will he see? Thankfully, he started the journey with an empty sketchbook, so let's see what on the horizon he sets his eyes on!

While lost on his way to the Survival Area he encounters a certain kid and his Pikachu among the mountains of route 225. Can they overcome their differences and make it to the Survival Area in one piece, or will they get turned around… Yet again!?

But this proves one hurdle; Her newly caught Doublade just doesn’t seem to want to evolve! Will some reluctant offered aid from Burgundy help, or is this a lost cause?

Speaking of Pokemon X&Y, I have also done Shauna, Tierno & Trevor who are Friends and Rivals of Ash, Serena, Clemont and Bonnie, And I gave Shauna's Outfit a Colour Scheme, Since.... I was mix with her Colour having Pink, While the Green represented her Starter pokemon being a Grass-type in the Anime, And I've also added Former Team Flare Agent Alain (Who defeated Ash in the Kalos League) and his young friend Mairin, It might be bit of an odd choice, but Ash does see that Alain is not look the other Followers of Lysandre, and made sense to have him at there side when it comes to His Skill with Mega-Evolution.

I've Excluded Astrid and Sawyer for they are gonna be partnering up with Gary Oak, Ritchie, Drew, Solidad, Zoey, Kenny, Barry, Trip and Ilima to keep a close watch on the Pokemon While the Ketchum Alliance are assisting the Gen 2 PreCure All Stars and Illuminati with Tropical Rouge PreCure Stuff with the Marvel Heroes, And fight in the Dissidia Contest of Champions

My main fandoms are the 1966 Batman (Robin), Super Friends, 1977 Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries (Joe), Ronin Warriors (Cye), Real Ghostbusters (Peter Venkman was my favorite since I found it at 3 years old.), and Lord of the Rings (Pippin is my spirit animal and Merry/Pippin gives me life).

But I have so many other fandoms that are near the top as well:

Kuroshitsuji/Black Butler (Sebastian), Voltron 1984 (Sven), Thundercats 1985 (Tygra), and Sailor Moon (Serena, 90s DIC, Also I'm like 99% certain she's the reason my personality is how it is today).

And yet still MORE fandoms: The Beatles (Paul) Gakuen Heaven Kuroko no Basket (look Kagami x Kuroko is to die for) Utapri (Tokiya/Hayato has my heart and always will) Phantom of The Opera (Broadway and LND are my loves. Ben Lewis will forever be my phantom) CATS the Musical (Mistoffelees/Jacob Brent stole my heart at an early age) Pokemon (water trainer here) Slayers Ghost Hunt Lord of the Rings (Pippin is my spirit animal and Merry/Pippin gives me life)

Still more that I'll have to add as I remember them.

I've been watching anime since the 90s and I've been doing my best to keep up. While I have a good handful of series that I watch solely in English because they were ones I grew up on, I usually prefer subbed.

I do not want a remake of certain animes because my heart can't take a new dub. If Ronin Warriors had a remake and they redubbed it, it would seriously send me into a depression spiral.

I am too attached to certain characters and I've come to accept it. I stay out of going too deep into fandoms for that reason. It wasn't until the last 5-7 years I felt comfortable fully opening up to the 66 Batman fandom. Just because I grew up with Bruce and Dick and they were like a second family to me.

I'm really easy going as long as no bullying and overly dramatic drama is going on. I just want to have fun and talk with people. I don't hate people for ships or anything - you do you boo! <3 it's your safe place and as long as people aren't getting physically hurt in RL then its fine.

Cringy Fandom Shit

Yeah I've been there, done that, and more than likely still doing it. I have Mary Sue's/OCs out the wazoo and I'm over being embarrassed by them. I'm 38, if people are THAT bothered by it they can go fuck themselves.

Also news flash to new people in fandom starting from COVID who think they are hot shit - you're not. You're just popular kids who suddenly think it's "cool" to be nerdy and second news flash absolutely NO ONE wants you here.

Either fit in, shut your trap and hang or just leave.

I've spent my life running away from people like you and I'm over it.

Fandom is cringe. It just is. It always has been but everyone is ok with it. We're with people who are just like us and it's our safe space away from Becky and Stacy who think watching Super Heroes and dressing up is "soooooo cringe."

Yes we cosplay as our favorite characters and we will act like them at con. It's part of the fun of cosplaying. Yes people will Naruto Run past you and do DBZ type fights. Pokemon people will pretend battle in the hallways.

IT'S WHAT FANDOM IS.

If you can't comprehend this then go back to your world. Leave ours alone and stop ruining fandom spaces.

Bullying

I hate HATE HATE HATE Bullying and if I catch ANYONE bullying anyone over anything - I'll come over and smack them silly. This stems from my entire childhood of being made fun of for liking Batman. MIND YOUR OWN DAMN BUSINESS AND LEAVE PEOPLE ALONE.

I also don't do ship hate and story hate, fandom hate, etc. Let people do what they want with their fandom. They aren't physically attacking you, aren't calling you out on anything, they aren't doing nothing but enjoying themselves.

Fandom Purists

Honestly you guys can eat shit and leave fandom spaces. If you're THAT UP TIGHT about a FICTIONAL show and certain couples and tropes and themes - then FUCKING LEAVE.

No space on the internet is forced to make it a safe space for you. It just isn't. If you don't like something, can't comprehend a story arc that is visibly toxic ON PURPOSE, can;'t handle couples, parodies (looking at you new Ouran Fans), get offended by literally everything (and I'm liberal so don't call me MAGA) - ITS YOUR PROBLEM.

Politicially Correct Crap

Yes I support all the normal shit. I don't give a fuck about what pronouns, race or gender you are. As long as you treat everyone with respect, I'll treat you with respect. We're all human.

I'm not going to talk about sensitive subjects related to real world events. it's not my place and I'm not using my safe space to bitch about a lot of things.

DNI

If you see a post that says "DNI if you ___" and do it anyway, you are a jack ass and asking for a fight. When the person comes to interact back and you get all offended, just remember you caused it.

Don't Like / Don't Read

This runs with bullying. If you see something you don't like, fucking scroll past. Don't be that jerkwad that has to make it about them. It's not for you.

Cosplaying isn't an elitist sport

If you can't fathom why someone wouldn't just make their own costume instead of buying it, you need a reality check. Not everyone can sew, not everyone wants to sew, and no one should be required to make their own cosplay.

Fast cosplay is FINE. It's no different than a Halloween Costume. No one is asking you to go the extra mile, no one is forcing you to make your cosplay.

If you do that's cool and I'm impressed. But do NOT attack other cosplayers who are just there to have fun and dress as their favorite characters.

Don't be that mean girl that we've tried so hard to get away from.

And yeah some fast cosplays may win contests. That's just reality. But once again - NO ONE FORCED YOU TO MAKE YOUR OWN. THAT WAS YOUR DECISION. No one asked you to overachieve, no one held a knife to your throat and said 'you can't cosplay unless you make it by hand'. You came up with all of these rules and people don't have to follow them.

That's just reality.

Liking Dubbed Anime

To all of you anime purists who just hate certain dubs of certain animes... you can go to hell.

No I will not be embarrassed to say I prefer the 90s DIC dub. Yes it's not the best but that doesn't make me any less of a Sailor Moon fan. It was all we had growing up and you guys just can't fathom it.

But I refuse to you let you bully me over my preference for Sailor Moon to be called Serena over Usagi.

Stop assuming fans like me haven't been watching it in Japanese or know the true story. WE DO. I own it all in Japanese, I own the manga, I've seen the TV series in both languages. I KNOW the DIC dub isn't perfect and I knew of it's flaws growing up.

That doesn't mean I can't love it with all my heart. We were here first. Stop being toxic Moonies, it's not a good look. Once again another fandom over run by mean girl purists.

A fandom can exist with both. Thankfully the Ronin Warrior/Samurai Trooper fandom has calmed down and now both exist peacefully (that I've seen at least) together.

Don't get me started on the early 2000s RW fandom.

The YST fans thought they were hot shit but there wasn't a way to get ahold of the Japanese version of the series and if there was - they never shared it. So like 10% of the fandom acted like they were better than everyone else because they knew their Japanese names and treated people like crap because of it.

I didn't even have the ability to OWN the japanese version with correct subtitles until the mid 2000s. I remember the first set of YST DVDs, the subs were hilariously awful and I knew enough Japanese to be like "...they didn't just say that" XD.

The blue rays came out and we FINALLY got proper subs.

The Sailor Moon fandom is turning into that more and more each day.

Take a page from the RW fandom and chill out.

You can't and shouldn't police what version of a show to watch. This goes for the precure fans losing their shit over Glitter Force. It's a gate way anime for young kids. Let them watch it without bullying and nicely teach them about the real series.
