when mcci first released my friedns and i were playing hole in the wall and we ended up in a lobby wiht martyn of little wood fame and it came down to the two of us and i lost an di have never felt more gamer rage then in that moment.

The Scavenger'z Hideout [sic] was Fuffy's favorite place on the entire Island.

Sure, okay, it was kind of cramped, dusty, dark, and- oh yeah, staffed with giant, talking rats, but really, that was the appeal! That wasn't something you got on any other server. There was a pleasant camaraderie in the air on the Island that was, in Fuffy's humble opinion, completely and ultimately superior to the businesslike, detached attitude held by like eighty percent of the Hypixel skyblock cluster. But then again, what did she know, coming from Mineplex, the so-called "backwater"? Only a LOT MORE than any of those elitist Skyblockers-

...but, regardless of what other people thought of her, Fuffy was always at home in the Hideout. Sure, she'd pop her head out into the world every few days to grab her daily Quests and Gems, pay her MCC+ subscription, get some crafting done at Splinter's, and play some games for disposable income... okay, so she spent a LOT more time outside of the Hideout than she did inside it, but the clacking of gears, the humid air of the forge... it would always be like a second home to her.

So it was a little bit of a shock when she heard the voice. "Pssst… you seem like a discerning eye," it called.

Fuffy blinked. "…hey, Stella, did you say something?"

The Ratsmith temporarily paused her forging, hammer held aloft. "Not sure what you're talking about, hon." She brought the hammer down to meet the near-perfect alloy sitting on the anvil. "I've been focusing on this for the past ten minutes. Maybe it was a pipe creaking?"

Fuffy cast an eye at the snaking copper pipes up by the ceiling before shaking her head. "Couldn't have been. Noxcrew paid to have them replaced last week, remember? Nibbles didn't shut up about it for days."

(Nibbles, the owner of Knick Knax, was extremely particular about "intrusion" by "The Government", because they didn't seem to think the goods they sold were legal- never mind the fact that the rats, despite being scavengers, were completely above-board. Silver was even one of the Island's official currencies.)

"Look, just get over here!" hissed the tinny voice again.

"…Stella, do you mind if I poke around in the back for a bit?" asked Fuffy. Stella clicked her tongue. "That should be fine, hon'. Just be careful, there's a lot of stuff back there, we don't want you gettin' buried."

"Alright, thanks, bye!" chirped Fuffy, scampering into the pile of junk as Stella returned to her work.

Once she was safely out of earshot, Fuffy got to work sifting through the junk. "...What do you want? Where are you?" she called tenatively, pushing a broken bicycle out of the way.

"...Shh, not so loud!" called the voice. "I'm right in front o' ya', dingus."

Fuffy studied the battered old refrigerator with skeptical eyes. "I don't..." Her eyes fell upon the thin crack between the rusty fridge and the side of Stella'z Swaps [sic]- one just big enough for any player to slip through.

"Here goes nothing," she thought, and squeezed through the gap.

As she emerged on the other side, the voice cheered. "Hehey! You found it!" Fuffy looked around, searching for the voice's owner. The dark little alleyway was lit by a single lantern, placed haphazardly on the floor next to a tattered push-cart containing a clump of behatted mannequin heads.

The rat beside it adjusted the sign on the cart (which loudly proclaimed that the business was called "HAROLD'z HATS" [sic]), and dusted off its waistcoat. "Thought you'd never make it!" the rat said. "Hat-Dealer Harold, atchur service! Now, what can I get ya?" He pulled out one of the mannequins, festooned with a cute little frog-themed bucket hat, and practically thrust it into Fuffy's face. "Ya fancy this one, perchance?"

"...wait, this is a hat shop?" asked Fuffy, who was beginning to feel just the slightest bit discombobulated. The rat- Harold- didn't seem to notice her question, instead turning away and rifling through his stock again. "Hmm, not a fan of that one, eh? Maybe you're a bit more... understated?" He pulled out a red-and-blue knitted cap and waved it in the air, whiskers twitching as he watched her reaction intently. "No, definitely not," he decided arbitrarily before Fuffy could get out a single word, and delved back into the pile.

It was around thirty seconds before Harold came back up for air, giggling to himself. "Oi!" he called, startling Fuffy, who looked up from her communicator (strangely, she didn't seem to be getting any signal here). "Got something that should strike your fancy." With a theatrical flourish, he stepped aside, revealing... the hat.

The first thing Fuffy noticed about it was the sheer energy. The hat sat there, not doing anything, but something was just... wrong about it. But, at the same time... it was just a baseball cap. Black, with purple detailing. It was even an Island-branded hat, it had the little crown on the front and everything!

Fuffy stared at it. She took a step closer, and reached out to touch it- and looked at Harold.

"Hey, this isn't an evil hat or something, righ-" "How much?" she asked. "Wait, no, I want to-" "For the hat, I mean."

Harold grinned. "That'll be ten thousand Silver."

"That's too much! We can't afford that-" "It's a deal," Fuffy said.

Her hand closed around the brim, and everything went black.

...Four hours later, Fuffy groaned.

She pushed herself off the wall, the cool air of the Island's current perpetual night settling against her skin. "...ugh, what happened?" she asked herself, looking down at-

The hat.

The hat in her hands.

She stared down at it. It didn't do anything. It wasn't even giving off freaky energy.

Then the holographic screen of her personal communicator popped up, interpreting her tense gaze as a request for the item's description:

Down below is some in depth talk for the first piece with bdubs and all his clocks :D

The one on his chest is a regular minecraft clock - he always carries one in his offhand. In the background his his big tower from his "building with bdubs" series. He is wearing his moss cloak. On his wirst: A clock with a horse: he loves horses. also it actually is inspired by the horse-mountain he build in season 9 of hermitcraft A purple clock with ears: a purple panda clock. He joined one mcc (minecraft championship) and one it first try on the team called purple pandas) A tnt block-clock: Season 7 of hermitcraft he had, alongside impulse and tango, a company called "the boomers" who would explode stuff with tnt for diamonds - bdubs stick was he would die in every blow up they do (there are compilations)

in his jacket: The clock looking like a ring: reference to double life. He was soul-bonded to impulse and they lowkey roleplayed as a married couple and impulse gifted him a clock as a sign or marriage. therefore it looks like a ring. it also has "i" pointers because impulse always puts "i"s on his stuff A regular alarm clock: Basically that - maybe a reference for him always sleeping through the night. The red glasses clock: reference to season 8. He, tango and keralis based together and called themself "big eyes crew" and they all wore red glasses Emerald shaped clock: season 9 as the right hand to king rendog (theres also a crown inside the shape) emeralds because rendog and bdubs wanted to change currency to royal emeralds which started a war on the server and led to rendogs execution. bdubs stayed loyal till the end "hep" clock: Season 7. He plays right hand man to mayor scar. There was a turfwar between two groups - one wanted their main island to be mycelium the other wanted it to be grass. HEP was the group who wanted grassblocks so its a grassblocked shaped clock. they lost the war clock with a snake: 3rd life reference. Inside the clock theres a castle "the crastle" which was his and cleos base in 3rd life. The snake stands for cleo. the heart is part of the logo for the traffic series (same btw count for the heart in the impulse ring) sundial: reference to the hermitcraftxempires smp crossover. bdubs came to empires smp and announced himself as "the sungod" and basically became a god and gem, oli, fwhip and sausage were his followers for the short time. the shape is after a build sausage made in his name the "B" sign: reference to last life. He was part of team B.E.S.T. and they had shields with their initials aka Bdubs, Etho, Skizzlman and Tango. The four hearts are the lifes he was given at the start of the series half tnt clock: reference to ethoslab who is his best friend on hermitcraft and they are just unnormal about each other messed up steam punk clock: reference to the create series he did with keralis, tango, scar and zedaph who unfortunatly was short lived mcc coin: the coin he got for winning mcc broken heart monitor clock: limited life. there's a heart monitor and digital clock. the clock is broken because bdubs didnt uploaded his view for limited life (at the time of drawing this piece) so we never new how much time he had left (we know now) small pocket watch with snake and wings: also limited life. he teamed up with scar (the wings) and cleo (the snake) tree clock: the tree of whimsey. one of his first builds of season 9. he crowned tango as parkour king, cub as royal magican/dragonslayer and ren as king under it

OKAY SO what with the TWO new Hermits implied by the updated banner I will say that, though the Skizz truthers have me convinced, I now have room to do my own crazy red string monologue and throw my hat in for my choice

1) Mythical J. Sausage (the J is silent) is a multitalented S-tier builder that absolutely deserves to be shoulder to shoulder with the Hermits. The man does buildings, interiors, terraforming, custom trees, and he does them SO WELL.

2) The production values!!! Beautiful replay mod sequences with shifting camera perspectives, shaders, music that sets the tone for each segment that's different from series to series. He already has more than a million followers on YouTube and for good reason!!

3) He has been SO consistent lately. He started a hardcore world about three months ago (about the time you might expect the Hermits to finalize their s10 choices maybe...???) and already has 15 episodes and hasn't gotten involved in any other big content. (He did just start playing a little of the BCG server but from what I understand that's super casual /copium copium copium).

4) That hardcore world is conveniently about to reach a good "pause" point. He started his world on a cherry blossom biome island that he's filled with a medieval village and starter farms, he's said it's almost full and what's left is the castle. I'm guessing the new season will start the first week of February, so if Sausage puts out a video this week building out that Castle and finishing that island it will be MIGHTY CONVENIENT TIMING.

5) This man can GRIND. His Hardcore world hasn't even been going half a year and he's built... So much??? Magnificent! And when he was on the Hermitcraft server he did the Razorcrest for scar AND the player head baby yoda/stormtrooper merch AND the noteblock themesong AND still built in the xmas village and other "diamond of peace" and so many other shenanigans. Did the man even sleep? He can grind with the best of them.

6) He can do redstone, too! Maybe not unique designs, I honestly don't know, but he builds farms for build materials no problem.

7) The DRAMA this man loves his improv and his backstory and trauma lore! For every series he does! Can you imagine if he gets to interact with Ren for an extended period of time, what that would do to them, to us?? Give Martyn a run for his money!!

8) Which brings me to my next point, which is that Sausage is already One of The Gang, because he's been in series with so many of the Hermits already! Empires and the crossover, obviously, but also Pirates with Cleo and Origins with Scar, and he's even done MCC! Joel is the only other player with the same depth of different series but there are other people truthing him already.

9) The EPIC BROMANCE with Pearl. My god the devotion of this man to his sunflower goddess bestie. I would try to do ot justice but y'all have seen floweroflaurelins work, you already know.

10) He's already a PG streamer but with HILARIOUSLY PG-13 tendencies. Imagine him and Cleo cracking each other up at an HHH stream, *grips your shoulders* IMAGINE IT.

11) Sausage comes with his own mascot in the form of interdimensional dog extraordinaire Bubbles, but he's also just an animal lover on general. Mans drinks his "I love Jellie" juice and had her in his world even before the sad news of her loss.

12) Diversity win! No one should be hired just for their gender, race, sexuality etc etc unless it's truly necessary to the job, but we were all happy when more women got added to the server in s8 and I know a lot of people would be happy to see some ethnic diversity added, too.

... That bulletin board had a lot more pins in it than I thought it did but anyway MYTHICALSAUSAGE TRUTHERS/ALL OTHER TRUTHERS RISE UP SPEAK YOUR TRUTH! we'll only get to wildly speculate for a few weeks so we might as well make it everyone else's problem ENJOY IT TO THE FULLEST!!

I really think the main “issue” with yesterday was that so many of the players have competed in competitive Minecraft before (Foolish, BBH, Tina, Phil, Tubbo have all competed in MCC multiple times among other skill based MC competitions. Roier, Tina, Foolish and Tubbo competed in Squid Craft. Roier plays in Minecraft Extremo. Fit is the 2b2t guy and a bunch of the players have played in PvP style servers before) I think they saw the set up for this game and just instantly and instinctively went into competitive mode. To me it seems like the admins intended for them to carry their rp and stories over to a certain extent and weren’t expecting people to just go ham and start gearing up and killing the shit out of each other like they did. The admins have watched for months as the islanders are given information and investigate and then share it and come to together to theorise etc. This time they showed them a bunch of important story based cutscenes but then threw them in an arena and I think all thoughts of the story kinda just went out of their heads and the admins were probably watching like wtf 😅 but I really do think it was just first day growing pains! They’ll all ease into it and figure out the rules and premise as they go and I do think it’ll be funny to see if red team and their team of majority rpers could somehow role play their way into some interesting situation.

Seeing all of my qsmp friends on here talk about the horrors of shipping on englishtwt is so funny to me. I haven't downloaded twitter and only have an account to vote on mcc polls. I don't have the app, I use the website alone and even then it's only to check what place insert creator here is on trending. My consumption of qsmp fanart and fan media is exclusively through tumblr and very niche corners of tik tok. Everyone I've talked to or interacted with are absolutely down for shipping the characters in a gay sex way because they're currently living on gay sex island and have gay sex on stream. The concept that any of what these creators are doing live could even possibly be "against their boundaries" is fuckin absurd to me. Vegeta and Foolish proudly introduce each other to the Brazilian creators as boyfriends. Quackity has canonically never met a woman before Jaiden. Speaking of which, there is one woman on the entire server and shes aro/ace both in game and in real life. Most of the eggs actively ship the creators together and ask for new polycules to form to give them new parents. All of the brazilian creators are in one polycule taking care of one egg. Slime asked "tiktok edit this" while he was having minecraft sex with Mariana. After they broke character and talked about their personal lives yesterday during the egg finale Mariana asked Charlie to break up with his girlfriend and marry him instead so he could get a green card. Then they fucked in Mariana's bed to another song as a fairwell before ending stream. They both admitted to loving the fanart they saw on twitter of them passionately making out and said it was their favorite part of the server. The only person who even mildly dislikes any of the shipping is Grace LMAO

Ok, Phil news time, if you haven't seen any of the stream today, go watch before you read.

Ok, so, today was Mexican independence day, Phil joined in and spent time with all the server members. I don't know the full extent of what happened, because I had to leave stream and I haven't yet watched what Capibara insanity or other events went down.

However, I can tell you the heartbreak that went down at the end. Phill woke up sometime later after (I am assuming) sleeping off the alcohol he drank at the festival. In that time something snuck into his bace and left a chest that Phil assumed was from Tallulah, holding a book telling a poem of a bird missing their eggs hatching into fledglings and giving him coordinates near his "uppies" nest warp and telling him to pack light for the trip.

Phil did so and traveled to the location finding a bird house which he rushed into thinking his eggs would be there, only for him to find another purple chest with a book saying "a cage for a cage" and to turn around to Cucarucho laughing at him. Phil tried to punch him while asking where were are his Eggs, only to get laughed at more as Cucarucho rushed out of the house, put down a security door and then covered it up with deepslate (potentially the security craft verient). So yeah, Phil has officially become a apart of the federation Kidnaped on the island club.

And this points to, along with the black Cucarucho insanity that went down with Tubbo yesterday (not writing about what mess of lava and near death), the federation messing with the islanders in an attempt to keep them compliment by freaking them the f*** out and trying to lock away those who are attempting to mess with the island's "happiness".

So, yeah, tommorow's streams might be involving saving PHIL from the federation (after MCC) and whatever other f***ery the federation decides needs to go down.

Also, this points further to just how desperate the islanders with missing eggs are getting with finding the eggs. Phil literally trusted a randomly appearing purple chest in his base, which he knows is compromised at this point thanks to the missing security door, to be Tallulah's doing and decided to follow the instructions the book gave despite his ever cautious nature in an attempt to get his egg back.

and this also points to just how desperate the Federation is becoming to deal with the situation. Normally you know the minute when something is going down whether the federation is involved (at least partially) or not. In this case the Federation openly decided to hide that they were the culprets till Phil was alone, to make sure that things would go off without a hitch, because they knew if there was any hint of federation involvement Phil would have ignored at least part of what the book said.

All the islanders are getting desperate.

We need the eggs to return, we need to deal with the federation and what ever shady group is now getting involved, they need to get off the island. Before whatever the f*** is going on, gets worse.

the entire thing of orv is that every story has power, with enough people telling the story it becomes real, and with a huge amount of beings talking about the story then the story itself gains life

so the orv au doesnt have to be modern, it doesnt even have to be on earth, the story is the server so the server is real, headcanons of the watchers/audience/constellations hold power so the evo grian and hermitcraft grian are the same, the hermits switch world every season and they remember all of it then that's canon, thats real

the only thing that starstream might not like is the relative immortality what with respawns but they let reincarnation island continue on so like its fine probably

mcc connects a lot of worlds as an event, wilbur and tommy came in the revolutionary outfit that one time, iirc it was an mcc win that made 3rd life ren into the red king, cleo the time witch knows a Lot

orv is all about stories and i totally forgot that

hermittwt ive had a realization that other people have definitely already made. the idea came to me while i was watching Animagicians video (this one, specifically)

while i do think the video was really cool i wanna focus on one small offhandedly mentioned thing. when ep 17 came out and we all saw the “im from a season where mumbo was mayor” we all thought that meant that our grumbot knew it was a fake reality. but, in the video Ani mentions that maybe the same thing happened to new grumbot. my thought process is what if thats exactly what happened. he was left there in that fake box, watching a still and lifeless image of the island, left to corode away into the now rusted and green tinted grumbot that entered into the new season. left in that false reality until one day he was able to notice the cracks. the sky never going to night, the island never changing, the small bits of light shining in from an odd angle for a second every time mumbo or grian came to visit. he asks grian why the island never changes, why there hasnt been any new shops, or games, or anything happening, and the guilt of lying to his son overwhelms grian. he tells grumbot the truth, mumbo didnt become mayor, but they didnt want him to feel like he was a failure so they hid him into his own little world until the rest of the server forgot he was even there.

His Grian was sorry too.

oh em gee i think you finally let me put my finger on why i have less passion for it all now

i loved that practice server and I'm sorry but i hate mcc island (too overwhelming with noise and people, snipers annoy me, games take too long and are too different, no pkt, pkw or dogebolt)

i really loved all the different creators joining in random groups, practicing against each other and the leaderboard competitions, just seeing people idling on it. But mcci has effectively taken all that away - no random groups of people just happening to be playing together, no fun bets or competitions to beat a leaderboard, and no excitement at seeing it get busier and busier before the event as everyone hangs out more in wait of it - I really miss that!

mcci looks like fun, but I miss the cc's all hanging out on each other's stream on the practice server :(

hard agree actually which is funny because i was so excited for mcci when it was announced. i actually got my admission ticket about two months ago and haven’t logged on yet despite the fact i used to want to play it so bad to the extent where i was too jealous to watch streamers play it LOL

i hate stream snipers with a passion tbh. it’s why i have never really enjoyed bedwars streams unless it’s a tired twt closed lobby. i don’t care if they’re “nice” snipers it truly takes all the fun out of the gameplay for me. i think if mcci implements a good system for closed games (if they have one im sorry i didnt know LOL) there might be able to be a bit more practice that just consists of mcc participants and maybe other creators that aren’t in mcc but want to participate. like well i guess he’s not a creator but i always wished callahan could play with them and he would be able to on mcci, but it’s not as interesting to me if they’re playing against stream snipers.

i think mcci serves a different purpose for them than the practice server. like they’re partially largely different games and different people playing them. mcci is for everyone but the practice server will always be catered to them specifically. but i also don’t think they’ll put much into the practice server now that mcci is up and running because mcci is their revenue source (which is fair ig just sad for me as a viewer lol). like the privacy of the practice server gave it a similar appeal to the dsmp or hermitcraft in some ways even though it’s not a survival server. like it’s a place to practice and grind out the ace race leaderboard but it was also just a place to hang out and it’s easier to hang out in a server with a hundred people than one with several thousand
