De eerste Algemene Leden Vergadering van de Suriname-Guyana Chamber of Commerce (SGCC) heeft op 30 januari 2024 plaatsgevonden. Tijdens deze virtuele vergadering kwamen de bestuursverkiezingen aan de orde. 11 bestuursleden zijn op democratische wijze gekozen. De oprichting van de SGCC is een initiatief is geweest van ambassadeur Blankendal, ambassadeur van Suriname in Guyana en Vishnu Doerga van ActionInvest Caribbean Inc. Het streven van de SGCC is erop gericht om de samenwerking te vergemakkelijken, investeringsmogelijkheden te bevorderen en krachtige partnerschappen te smeden om economische groei te stimuleren. Daarnaast is het streven ook om de investeringsbanden te versterken en de welvaart tussen Suriname en Guyana te vergroten. De SGCC is op 21 september 2023 opgericht en bestaat momenteel uit 27 leden uit Suriname, Guyana en internationale bedrijven. De voorzitter en vicevoorzitter van de SGCC zijn respectievelijk Vishnu Doerga van ActionInvest Caribbean Inc en Derrick Klaverweide van Optiek Ninon Guyana. Ambassadeur Blankendal werd als erelid benoemd net als Virjanand Depoo, ambassadeur van Guyana in Suriname. De voorzitter gaf aan dat de gekozen leden bij de bestuursverkiezingen een breed scala aan vaardigheden, expertise en een gedeelde inzet hebben om de economische belangen van wederzijdse landen te bevorderen. Daarnaast hebben de ereleden een belangrijke rol te vervullen zoals het versterken van de diplomatieke banden en het bevorderen van de economische samenwerking tussen beide landen. De voorzitter gaf verder aan dat hun benoeming de waardering weerspiegelt van de SGCC voor hun uitmuntende bijdrage aan de bevordering van de grensoverschrijdende samenwerking. BALIPORTALNEWS.COM, DENPASAR - PT PLN (Persero) telah sukses mengaplikasikan penggunaan kWh meter Meter Advance Metering Infrastructure (AMI) kepada satu juta pelanggan se–Indonesia. Program penggantian kWh meter konvensional menjadi kWh meter AMI merupakan wujud transformasi PLN melalui digitalisasi layanan kepada pelanggan. Dalam sambutannya pada kegiatan selebrasi satu juta pemasangan kWh meter AMI di kantor PLN UID Bali, Jumat (13/10/2023), Ida Bagus Ari Wardana selaku Executive Vice President Operasi Distribusi PT PLN (Persero) Regional Jawa, Madura & Bali mengatakan dari target 1,2 juta pelanggan, kini sudah satu juta yang telah diimplementasi kWh meter AMI. “Kami menargetkan pada 27 Oktober mendatang saat perayaan Hari Listrik Nasional ke–78, seluruh target penggantian kWh meter AMI dapat terselesaikan sehingga komitmen PLN dalam memberikan layanan PLN melalui digitalisasi layanan dapat dinikmati segera oleh pelanggan,” ucap Ari. Ia menambahkan kolaborasi yang dilakukan PLN dan State Grid Corporation China (SGCC) melalui perwakilan perusahaannya di Indonesia harus lebih solid lagi untuk menyelesaikan tantangan yang kini masih dihadapi tim di lapangan dalam menyelesaikan implementasi kWh meter AMI. Ari juga menyebutkan bahwa kesuksesan program ini nantinya direncanakan akan dilanjutkan pada tahun 2024 mendatang. Khusus di Pulau Dewata yang menjadi wilayah terbanyak implementasi penggantian kWh meter AMI, tercatat sebanyak 447.144 meter telah terpasang di rumah pelanggan. “Wilayah Bali memperoleh target tertinggi di Indonesia dalam penggantian kWh meter AMI tahun ini dan per 11 Oktober 2023, 81,95% dari 545.641 pelanggan telah sukses diganti kWh meternya,” papar I Wayan Udayana selaku General Manager PT PLN (Persero) Unit Induk Distribusi (UID) Bali. Udayana menjelaskan sebagai daerah pariwisata yang menjadi tujuan pelaksanaan berbagai event berskala nasional dan internasional, menjadi kewajiban bagi PLN untuk memberikan layanan terbaik dan listrik yang berkualitas. “Kontrol transaksi penggunaan energi listrik di Bali haruslah berkualitas, dan untuk mewujudkannya, tentunya hal ini menjadi motivasi bagi kami agar pelayanan listrik lebih meningkat sebagai layanan kelas dunia,” ujarnya. When I saw the sketch wall in the comic con day 01, i was so nervous to ask the members from NLB "is that a sketch memorial wall?".
They said "Yes, it is"
I was about to ask this question, "Can I sketch out since I'm the first one?" and they said "Absolutely!!"
I've research one of my two iconic and favourite character that would like to draw on the wall. I've put on my wireless headset, sketch out the two dragons till the passer-by comes in and witnessing my sketching moment.

In January, 2018 – ABB completed testing of the 500MW high-voltage direct-current (HVDC) transmission link, named Maritime Link, which expanses from Granite Canal in Newfoundland and Labrador to Woodbine in Nova Scotia, Canada. Estimated to cost USD 1.56 Billion, the project is being developed by NSP Maritime Link (NSPML), a wholly owned subsidiary of Emera Newfoundland & Labrador Holdings and an affiliate of Nova Scotia Power.
In December, 2017 – The UK Marine Management Organisation (MMO) issued a comprehensive pronouncement for the 1000MW Interconnexion France-Angleterre (IFA2) link project. The high voltage direct current (HVDC) project, under the TEN-E Regulations, has been acknowledged by all of the required statutory consents in UK consenting regime. It is planned to be commissioned by 2020.
In November, 2017 – Siemens successfully completed testing of its first 1,100 kV transformer, which is developed for the high-voltage direct-current (HVDC) transmission link in China. The transformer has been designed and manufactured by Siemens for the HVDC transmission link, which will be functioned by the transmission grid operator State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC).
