WIP Wednesday - Shadowlight

Flowers that Elain cut for them in hand, the twins departed as they always did, darkness swirling around them like storm clouds before the sun swept them away. After checking the clock, Elain found herself staring out the window again. She thought of Cerri’s small smile for her lover as her eyes followed the path through the garden that would take her to the far off spot only visible to the river and the sky above. She tried to ignore the fluttering in her chest like she’d swallowed a small bird. The beat of it’s wings raced beneath her skin as her thoughts turned to something dangerous.

Azriel was staying for dinner.

Who are your favorite Warrior Cats characters?

Surprise, I actually have one specific favorite. Jayfeather.

See, I started the series at The Sight (found it in a shoe box of old books from my second cousins) and to grumpy preteen me a grumpy preteen cat was a pretty awesome character.

I also like Squirrelflight. She‘s so fierce and eager to do the right thing.

Oh, and Shadowpaw & Rootpaw. I wasn‘t a fan of the seventh arc, but they were really cute. I liked them.
