Floor Play

Anyone else laying on their living room floor, rough housing with their puppy or is it just me? I finally opened up my living room for the dog as a test trial to see if she will hold her bladder until outside. We have very few accidents in the house now, which is great. Nonetheless, she LOVES the shaggy area rug in the living room. I’ve had the living room gated off pretty much since she was 10 weeks old. The carpet was prime peeing space. Now it’s prime laying space. I went through a lot of searching when we first decided to move to find this carpet. It’s a shag, rainbow chevron patterned carpet. SO COOL. Yes, I still have my spunky side. I even have string Christmas lights hanging from the ceiling like a canopy. Ever since I blocked off the living room, no one has barely even went in it. It was like a no zone. I had enough of everyone just relaxing in their bedrooms 24/7. It was time to take the risk and test the waters.

Well, so far so good. She hasn’t peed once on the carpet and has been 98% peeing outside. She has yet to get down the bark to go outside aspect. Like, “HEY! I GOTTA PEE!” or “HEY! I GOTTA POOP!” She thankfully has only pooped in the house 2 times since we got her over a month ago and she made it on the peepee pad. It will be 2 months since we’ve had her on Thursday. I got really lucky with her. She is a very good girl. A wild child but good. Currently, I am laying on the floor with the dog sleeping on her bean bag bed (super comfy and human sized) and my son on the couch watching nothing else but YouTube gamers. Anyone else’s child still into Minecraft? He also likes watching people play Splatoon 2 and various Mario games. My daughter is in her room on her laptop reading Manga. She’s now all about Anime. My grandmother actually just sent her a gift which was The Master Guide to Drawing Anime. She had the biggest smile on her face this morning when she heard she had a mysterious package in the mail.

So, not sure if everyone knows. My oldest is 16 and lives in Arizona and my two younger children, 13/girl and 10/boy live with me. I have raised them since 2012. You do the math. My oldest unfortunately had a series of unfortunate events which led her to move to Arizona with her biological mother. She calls me all the time to complain about how idiotic her mother’s thought process is all the time. I know all about it. Baby mama drama FOR sure. Finally after years of annoyance to me, she left our life be and went about her business. That is a story I won’t get into. Way too long and way too exhausting. But, I am considered MOM. I earned my title & I love it. The first time my oldest asked if she could call me mom, I immediately cried. What a milestone. Another huge one just happened too! 30 years old. The big 3-0. Well, hopefully my day consists of relaxation until later when I have to go to my mom’s and cut my brothers hair. By the way, I am a hairdresser. Currently unemployed by work but very much employed at home.
