please tell me I'm not the only person who remembers that book four plot point in Feh of Shareena and Peony having switched lives with each other so much THEY FORGOT who was originally who. Like, sure, they say it doesn't matter, and to them it doesn't, they're so happy go lucky they just wouldn't care. But....there is a very real chance that the Shareena we know, isn't the original Shareena. There's a very big chance the original Shareena is now Peony and....we'll just never know, because they'll never expand on that plot point.

I mean, think about what this would mean for their siblings. Imagine being Alfonse or Triandra, learning, somehow, that your sibling one day stopped being your original sibling and you just....never noticed. Can you imagine what that'd do to someone's head? And what about Queen henriette? What if she found out. Because that'd not only mean that she recently lost her husband, but that, at some point while she was raising her children, her daughter was swapped out for a doppelganger and she never was able to tell the difference.

That plot point is going to haunt me and I don't see it discussed enough.

taking a step back and looking at the Heroes setup as a genuine Fire Emblem plot structure is actually fucking wild. imagine being Alfonse or Sharena, desperately trying to amass an army to protect your kingdom, and then your mysterious hoodie-wearing friend fires their glock at a stone shrine before screaming expletives because the hero that appeared from thin air wasn't sexy enough

A Blissful Night

A/N: This is my secret Santa gift for @dreaming-bouquets   You had three amazing prompts, I couldn’t decide which one to choose, so I decided to do a mix of all three. I hope you enjoy it. Merry Christmas! Thank you @summonersecretsanta for this opportunity. 

The sound of the crackling fire and Celeste's melodic voice could be heard throughout the Prince's bedroom, leaving the two occupants in the room in a tranquil state. Bundled in oversized ugly Christmas sweaters- that the summoner herself would wear every year back in her world- Alfonse and Celeste sat cuddled together in front of the warmth that the fireplace provided for the both of them.

With only the light from the burning embers as her source,and the white furry rug as their cushion, Celeste with her back pressed against her prince's chest, read aloud a Christmas tale revered throughout her home world, “The Night Before Christmas”.

“Twas the night before Christmas.” She started.   “when all through the house, Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;”

Askr's prince listened with rapt attention as Celeste's voice echoed throughout the  room.  Pressing his forehead against her shoulder, Alfonse with the intent to close his eyes for only a second in the hopes of being able to make a clear mental picture of the words being spoken, ended up falling asleep not even half way through the story. Celeste continued to read aloud her Christmas tale unbeknownst to the fact that her prince was sleeping peacefully behind her.  

“He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle, and away they all flew like a down of a thistle. But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight- “Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!” She finished. Closing the book, Celeste put it down beside her leg, as she let out a content sigh.

“That's one of my favorites. So what did you think?” She asked her companion, only to be answered by the softest of snores.

“Alfonse?” She called out, as she turned around, but instead of being answered she was met, with the sleeping face of her lovable prince.

“Oh Alfonse!” Celeste whispered. Bringing  her hand up, she let her fingers slide across his cheek, as she continued watch him as he slumbered away. Alfonse let out a blissful sigh, as he snuggled closer into her hand. Celeste let out a giggle at this.

She let him sleep for a few minutes more, before coming to the conclusion that she indeed must unfortunately disturb him from his nap. For she in turn had another surprise in store for him. So with that in mind the Askr's summoner worked up the courage to awaken her prince.

“Alfonse, you silly goose, It's time to wake up.”

Alfonse instead of waking up, scrunched is nose up in displeasure. “Five more minutes.” He stated sleepily.

Celeste let out another chuckle, as she watched him in amusement. “I'm afraid I can't let you do that my prince. For I have a surprise I must show you.”

“So wakey-wakey.” She whispered in his ear, while she ran her fingers through his hair. Alfonse  sensing that he wasn't going to win opened his eyes, to one of the most beautifulest sights. Celeste was staring down at him with smile that could rival the sun.  

“Hey there sleeping beauty, its about time you woke up. I have a surprise for you.”

Alfonse smiled at Celeste. Rubbing the sleep from his eyes he answered her back, “Sorry about that, I was waiting for my sunflower to come and wake me.”

Celeste's face turned a bright red at his words. “That was so cheesy!” she exclaimed embarrassed as she hid her face within Alfonse's shirt.

He let out out a chuckle that would put the most soothing of  sounds to shame, “I just couldn't help myself. Besides what was this surprise you speak of?”

“Hmm, I almost forgot!” She said excitedly as she went to pull something out of her pocket.

“You remember how I was telling you about one of the main traditions back in my world. That couples do together?”

“I do why?” Smiling at your energeticness, Alfones watched as she bounded  back over to him, with her palm closed. Celeste when she made it to him, opened up her hand to reveal a green plant wrapped in a red bow.  He knew exactly what it was. Mistletoe.

“How did you find that?” He asked surprised. “I thought that it would only be found in your world.”

“ I thought so to, but Shareena and Anna were able to find some, lurking around. It is quite the miracle I must say.  I'll have to thank the both of them later, but for now how about you and I try it out?” She asked as she held the tiny plant above their heads.

“I-I couldn’t agree more.”  Alfonse answered with a  blush to his face. Leaning in both the prince and his sunflower shared a kiss to end their blissful night.
