IN_A_MINUTE:
AN INDIE EXPRESS… “BUILD A BRIDGE” is the official lead single/track from @deeper.band’s forthcoming LP titled ‘Careful!’ (9/8 @subpop) & it finds the Chicago-based quartet of Shiraz Bhatti (drums), Nic Gohl (vox/guitar), Drew McBride (bass) & Kevin Fairbairn (guitar) bringing the nervily ear-wormed goods across 3 ½ mins of prickly astute ArtRawk. @fiddleheadusa are here w/ “SULLENBOY,” the lead single from their forthcoming LP titled ‘Death Is Nothing To Us’ (8/18 @runforcover) & it finds the Boston-based quintet of Shawn Costa (drums), Alex Dow (guitar), Pat Flynn (vocals), Nick Hinsch (bass) & Alex Henery (guitar) bringing 3+ mins of post_hardcoring & small_brown_biking ALtRawk. “SODAWATER” is a new standalone single from @keepva & it finds the ever-reliable Virginia-based quartet of Wes Smithers (guitar), Will Fennessey (bass), Levi Douthit (guitar/synth) & Nick Yetka (drums/vox) once again gracing us w/ another solid slice of six-string laden & sweetly soft_grunging DreamPop. KING KRULE (@edgar_the_breathtaker) is here w/ “FLIMSIER,” the final single in the run-up to their latest LP titled ‘Space Heavy’ (@matadorrecords @xlrecordings) & it finds the London/Liverpool-based artist Archy Marshall stretching his legs while offering up a drowsy bout of lounge-tinged & woozily wonderful PostPop. “IT’s ALIVE” is the official lead single from @ratboysband’s forthcoming LP titled ‘The Window’ (8/25 @topshelfrecords) & it finds the Chicago-based quartet of vocalist/guitarist Julia Steiner, guitarist Dave Sagan, bassist Sean Neumann & drummer Marcus Nuccio bringing the twangy twee across a 3:24 clip of indie_rawking PostCountry.

“Glitter Gold,” A Musical Mirror Reflecting Universal Journeys

Rising country music artist Kathleen Fee releases her new single, “Glitter Gold,” a compelling anthem that encapsulates the resilience and determination embedded in the human spirit. The song paints a vivid picture of the struggles and triumphs encountered on the journey to success. Kathleen showcases her storytelling by bringing to life a narrative that resonates with believers and big-hearted dreamers alike. “Glitter Gold” is more than just a song for the singer; it’s a personal exploration of the internal struggles individuals face while navigating the expectations imposed by society. Widely recognized as the dynamic frontwoman of the acclaimed New York City Irish band Celtic Cross, Kathleen has now embraced a solo venture as she spent the past year crafting her highly anticipated solo EP, Glitter Gold, slated for release in 2024. Sharing her thoughts on this venture, she expressed, “Stepping out on my own to record and write alongside Nashville’s best has been both challenging and immensely fulfilling. I’m thrilled to unveil my new music.” Kathleen wrote “Glitter Gold” with talented recording and touring musician Josh Matheny, who has played with Brothers Osborne, Vince Gill, Kacey Musgraves, Ricky Skaggs, and more; Elisha Hoffman, founding member of The Loving Mary Band, Steven Tyler’s country band, as well as co-founder of Pumphouse Records, launched with Lee Brice and songwriter Rob Hatch; and two-time Grammy winner, singer-songwriter Rebecca Lynn Howard, who has written songs for Martina McBride and Trisha Yearwood and has recorded with Dolly Parton, Vince Gill, Patty Loveless, and more. Kathleen says, “Glitter Gold’ is a deeply personal song about the journey of facing inner battles and living up to societal expectations. This song captures the longing to stand on the side of the road where the rain is made of ‘Glitter Gold,’ symbolizing the pursuit of joy and fulfillment. I think so many of us can really relate to the message in the song.” The metaphorical imagery of standing on the side of the road where the rain is made of “Glitter Gold” serves as a powerful symbol within the song. The picturesque representation conveys the longing for a life filled with meaning, encapsulating the universal desire for a sense of purpose and happiness. Highlighting the singer’s soulful voice, Kathleen’s song resonates with a broad audience, as many individuals grapple with their own aspirations, challenges, and the societal pressures that come with them. Kathleen Fee’s “Glitter Gold” not only highlights her versatility as an artist but also marks a significant milestone in her flourishing career. The single, positioned to secure its place as a staple in the country music scene, will be complemented by the release of a highly anticipated music video scheduled to debut on March 1. Influenced by renowned artists such as Kim Richey, Shawn Colvin, Patty Griffin, and Mary Chapin Carpenter, Kathleen Fee brings a unique blend of storytelling and musicality to the forefront, solidifying her place in the country music landscape. I love how we're all out here loving Martina McBride and Shawn Colvin.
Peace be with you, friends.
@penroseparticle, this one's for you.
Pick a country (for occasionally loose definitions of "country") song from a bad description! You do not need to recognize the song from the description, although one of them is very very very very very obvious this time. Go by the vibes. Go for what makes you chuckle or sounds intriguing. Follow your heart.
At the end of the week, I will post a playlist with all the songs in order, from the song with the least amount of votes to the song with the most amount of votes. If you would like to hear the playlist but don't want to put a lot of effort into it, leave a comment or put it in the tags on your reblog and I'll tag you. If you really just need to know about a specific song and don't want to wait, shoot me an ask and I'll answer.
And please reblog! It's time to make your mutuals listen to some straight-up (maybe not that straight) country music for a change. Especially that one. You know the one.

Mayor Samuel Brodie has been hard at work gathering all the information to come for the Bachelor and Bachelorette auction. Be on the lookout as you will be seeing a very important form flying to your mailboxes soon.
Seems as though Jamison and Dawson have once again called off their second engagement leaving neither one seemingly heartbroken. Maybe we will see them both entering the Bachelor and Bachelorette auction that will soon be happening here Hartsville.
Ryker and Linley have been seen around the lovely town of Hartsville quite frequently. Could something be brewing between these two other than the coffee they are consuming?
Hayley was seen having a grand ole time with Romeo last night at the Country Strong Western Club. Could he indeed be her next Romeo? Only time will tell as no one saw whether they left together or separately.
Elle and Shawn were seen pretty hot and heavy after we all returned back from Bora Bora. Could their new found lust for one another already be on the rocks?
Charley made a very important announcement today! Are we shocked to hear that she’s expecting a new little bundle of joy? But who is the father?

the psych writers made a deal with the gods of comedy which allowed them to create the best show ever written yet they are forced to include atleast one (1) slightly off-putting gay joke in each episode and that, my friends, is the price of glory
