Since you guys loved the TADC birthday headcanons post we made a while back, we decided to make a small list of other headcanons we have for the circus members! Enjoy! -💡

* Gangle ships BunnyDoll (Jax x Ragatha) and Showtime (Pomni x Caine), hence the “figurine thing” mentioned in episode 2 and why Jax wanted to tell Ragatha SPECIFICALLY

* Ragatha is a massive fan of music boxes/kalimbas and will fall asleep to a song played on those instruments. She also occasionally plays a xylophone if she finds one lying around the circus

* If Jax had a superpower, he'd have electricity

* Ragatha is a neat freak, and got the habit when she first entered the circus and noticed how Kinger would often make a mess or two

* Zooble collects fidget toys and keychains. Nobody is fighting with me on this.

* Pomni used to be a mathlete and even became Valedictorian before joining the circus

* Pomni speaks Italian, and Ragatha speaks French (both used to do it for funsies)

* Zooble absolutely ADORES hydro dipping and tie-dye!! Gangle was the one that got them into it

* Jax is a proud gamer and got a high score of around 28,000 in Tetris once, which he takes pride in. Pomni tries to beat that record every single day to “humble him”

* Zooble and Kinger, oddly enough, share a common interest in dinosaurs and the rainforest. Zooble loves the brightly colored plants, and Kinger loves the insects/animals that reside in it

* Jax has a collection of firecrackers. Oh, and prank toys.

* Ragatha is kinda superstitious…she keeps whatever 4 leaf clovers she can find, and also wears evil eye jewelry to ward off Jax evil spirits/bad luck

* Pomni is a fan of heavy metal. But doesn’t mind listening to pop/country every once in a while

* Gangle owns a sticker collection and keeps it in a safe so Jax won’t be able to get to it

* Ragatha owns one of those old rotary telephones in a light pink color

* Ragatha, Pomni, Zooble and Gangle all have a soft spot for Squishmallows. Kinger doesn’t know what they are and Jax doesn’t give two shits at this point

* Kaufmo and Jax used to be BFFs and used to secretly play pirates in Kaufmo's bedroom. Jax still keeps the fake swords they used and luckily, his secret is safe. For now.

* Jax's favorite game is Grand Theft Auto

* Ragatha plays Animal Crossing sometimes, but she mostly loves farming games and those puzzle games

* Pomni likes mind games and you will often find Sudoku, Crossword and Wordsearch books in her room

* Zooble dreams of traveling the world

It's time for another merch post, my biggest one yet since I went kind of crazy for merch in Dec/Jan...my wallet is still recovering 😵‍💫 (also, I made scans of some of this merch in a previous post here if you haven't already seen).

First is one of two Mercari orders. I only intended to get the movie booklet (which I've posted about previously) but added some more stuff to make the shipping worthwhile!

I got the towel with the cruise arc outfits that's part of the merch line for the Tokai Steamship collab. It's a bit small, but I still love it!

I always liked the art for the Tower Records collab, so I got a poster! (the seller also included stickers and postcards).

I also like the art for the Cruise Buffet collab, so I got a paper placemat which makes a great poster! The seller shipped it in this nice plastic cover, so I decided to keep that on to protect it (they included a postcard too, which will be part of my next miscellaneous scans post 😁)

The below acrylic stands were recently released as part of the movie merch line (sold at theaters I believe). Anya had a couple different designs, including one where she's in a director's chair and one where she has 3D glasses. But I picked the one where she's eating popcorn since Bond is with her (gotta always get the whole family when I can!)

A couple weeks ago I took a trip to Animate, where they just happened to be having a SxF promotion where you'd get postcards of the new camping designs if you spent a certain amount on SxF merchandise. I bought the four camping acrylics, which was more than enough to get all the postcards 😊

Also picked up these two magazines, since a Kinokuniya store was at that mall as well (scans of these coming soon!)

I absolutely love these painting acrylics! They're definitely one of my favorite sets ❤️

I love the Waku Waku Park designs, but was only able to find acrylics of Anya & Bond. Hope to add Loid and Yor to the collection one day. So I just got a clear file in the meantime, lol.

Couldn't resist this adorable CODE: White overnight bag! I decided to use it to hold my many TCG decks 😅

And lastly (kinda of) was my usual Amiami preoder!

The "Anya helping with chores" designs are so cute, I got them as both acrylic stands (from Amiami) and reusable bags (from the aforementioned Mercari order).

I got more acrylics and postcards of the lovely kimono designs ❤️ (postcards scans coming soon!)

As I posted about previously, I got the Operation Diary video game along with these nice goodies that came with the preorder! (that keychain is rare official Twiyor merch 👀)

And I got even more TCG accessories! (another set of sleeves, a few deck boxes, a card box, and card holder).

The reason I've been getting so much TCG stuff, as well as why I said the Amiami order was only "sort of" the last of my merch from the past couple months, is because I had also preordered a case of SxF Weiss Schwarz cards! I preordered it back in August, and the set officially released in English last week...but that will be covered in another post, so stay tuned~

•buys you lots of little things related to ur favorite characters 🥺 like those necklaces, stickers, keychains, plushies, anything. even if you have something similar she will still get you something if you don't have it

•i really went back and forth on this but i'm going to settle on he has not watched it and does not know what it is.

•will watch it with you if you ask. is absolutely flabbergasted by what's going on. it's nothing like he expected. his favorite jojo tho is jonathan and favorite jobro is probably kakyoin

sero hanta:

•knows what jjba is, currently is reading the manga, is probably rlly far into it too like part 7 or 8. fav jojo is maybe josuke? probably finds him relatable. fav jobro is okuyasu or mista/naracia (they come as a two pack btw)

•might also have some merch in his room, like manga and posters and stuff, but not nearly as much as you have. doesn't react at all to your collection, nothing can surprise him with the friends he has. gives you lots of compliments on the things you have.

•will ABSOLUTELY ask to borrow ur manga volumes and takes very good care of them. might even ask you to read them together 🥺

•finds it really fun that you always do jojo poses, will start doing them without you without being asked. will photobomb ur pictures of u doing the poses too

Because I've been lower on funds this last month or two, I haven't been able to purchase nearly as much merch lately. (I physically could not stop myself from buying Some of it. I'm mentally ill. Making poor financial decisions about my hyperfixation is my bread and butter.) So this is a collection of merch from probably the start of November! We'll go from the earliest to the most recent.

THIS IS THE STICKER I THOUGHT I LOST. You can buy this here! I actually ended up ordering another one and then having to cancel it when I found the original (it was buried under my bills somehow), and the artist was very sweet! The sticker itself is just fine, especially for how cheap it was, and I love the art on it. This is from @drexecutionzine's fundraiser sale! I wanted to get both it and the matching Komaru one, but this was the start of my Financial Woes, so I couldn't swing it. I ended up getting the more blatant Toko's Got Her Crushes print. This one shipped near immediately after I bought it, which assuaged a lot of worries about their shipping in general. I'm so glad they managed to make enough to ship out the zines!! No defects, gorgeous art, Death Trauma - we've got it all!

These prints by @cactuskhee were fully an indulgence buy, because I've both of these in other forms - the left piece in a much smaller bonus art that was for patreon supporters, and the right one as the cover of the DR Bunny Zine - but I loved the left one so left that I wanted a physical version, and I wanted some physical version of the Bunny Zine, even if I couldn't buy the whole thing physically! (It's a fantastic zine with designs uniquely catered to each character; you can find purchase updates here!) Khee's store, komahina.com, is closed for the year, but should reopen again in January - patrons get a notification when it opens and a password to get in a day early, so consider supporting them!

This is a VERY CUTE Irumatsu keychain from @networkink on her Storenvy! It was originally $13, but it's gone down to $6, which was much more affordable for me - and I'm so glad I got it, because it's sooo cute! The back of the art is bumped out against the back, which may be a negative for people who expect their keychains to see a lot of wear and tear, but for me it isn't an issue at all. She's also got a got other ships planned and some really cute general Yuri totes and pins in her store - check her out!

This is one that I was VERY excited about, because I had input into it!! @ariespetal asked on Twitter what pieces people would want to see at prints, and this is one I mentioned in the replies, because it's one of my favorite Tenmiko arts maybe ever. I'm so so excited that she made it available, and bought it the moment it went up. (RIP wallet.) And it was absolutely worth it - it's a very good price considering its size, and it's even more beautiful physically than seeing it digitally! I'd love to get ahold of her Angie print, too, once I have more money. Check out her etsy!

A box absolutely packed full of various goodies from Casi. It’s a wonder she even bothered to carry it around. When the box is first opened there’s a note at the top. 

The other contents of the box include:

A collection of Sinnohan snacks, some popular and some more obscure.

Small plastic bag containing around 20 identical rubber bracelets. Each bracelet is a gradient of purple to green and has “Professor Amaryllis has no social media” written on them in bold white letters.

A Gracidea flower patterned button up and matching bandana.

The bottom of the box lined with a full set of Ball Capsules, several packs of miscellaneous stickers, and a few specifically selected stickers of a Meganium’s flower, a stylized Toadscool in mid sprint, and several different poison type symbols and Pokemon.

Buried underneath all of the Ball Capsules is a decorative envelope containing an extra, smaller note and a rectangular keychain. One side of the keychain is art of an Arbok in a popular tattoo style, the back says Celadon Game Corner.

The first note reads as follows:

Happy Birthday! At least I hope it’s happy. I bought a lot of this stuff after my birthday, before I knew we would both be in Sinnoh at the same time. Some of this stuff might be a little redundant but I hope you still like them! I got you a bunch of snacks I used to like as a kid since you bought me snacks! The bandana should fit Cooper assuming he cooperates. I buy accessories from this company all the time for my Pokemon and they’ve seemed to enjoy them.

If you’ve never used Ball Capsules before you put them over your Pokeballs and you put stickers on them. It’s just a cute way to decorate. Adds a little Flare when you use the Pokeball too! Super cool stuff. Reusable too. 

As for the bracelets, I just kinda thought they would be funny for you to wear and give out to people as you see fit. Lemme know if I should order more.

I'm getting high-key worried about my ongoing balance issues. The dizziness/light-headedness comes and goes but even when I don't feel like that I'm having major balance problems. I think it's stemming from my back. My mid-back has been absolutely wrecked. Trying to crawl out of bed every morning is an actual trip down agony lane. Like, it's so stiff and tight I have issues even sitting up much less doing anything. Last two days I've woken up at like 8 something and just immediately slapped my tens unit on it to get the muscles to relax and chill out a little.

I'm going to call my chiro tomorrow and pray she has an appointment available before I start work because I'm genuinely concerned about what is going on. The amount of times I've nearly faceplanted when bending down to feed the ferals is stupid, and I can't even stand on one leg without getting wobbly.

This is new and unnerving and I'm not enjoying this. If it doesn't clear up with the chiropractor adjustment then I'm quitting the new pills the doctor prescribed me and I'm going to ask they try something else. It's gotta be one of two things at this point.

In less whiny news I found these kinda cute hexagonal corkboards on Amazon I'm debating picking up to display my pin and keychain collection.

They look like they could be fun and I could do an interesting climbing geometric design.

I am thinking I could get Juan to do some vinyl stickers. In my brain I'm picturing maybe a combo of the Imperial cog and the Rebellion symbol. Or maybe just the Rebel symbol or maybe a flight of X-wings. That high-key excites me, NEGL. I thought about doing a stencil and painting it but that's a lot of work when I could just have him do vinyl on his vinyl cutter.

Yeah about that no-buy thing. 🤡

Okay I am going to make a mojito and settle in to continue this Cody and Slick fic. I really want to get it off my slate so I can start that damn Wedge/Luke extreme pining and both are dumbsses who cannot work up the nuts to confess that they are head over heels for each other until after the Battle of Endor fic. I have the various 5+1 scenes all planned out. Do you know how rare it is for me to have an ACTUAL fic outline? Normally I am very much a fly by the seat of my pants disorganized, throw spaghetti at the wall thing. I think the last fic outline I wrote was for It Only Knocks Twice.

Even Seeds which is like 120K+ has no official outline. I've had some nebulous story beats I wanted to hit but have never actually put it down on paper which is prolly why it's twice the length I imagined when I was starting out.

She tilts her head as she looks up from her sketchbook.

"I found some Nightwing merch you might like." Dick preens. "You know, just in case you change your mind about your favorite vigilante."

She raises an eyebrow and looks into the box. Tumblers, caps, ballers, shirts, pins, stickers, keychains, bracelets. All in the theme of Nightwing. She refrains from asking why he has merchandise of himself.

Marinette gives a strained smile. "I understand that you're a fan and all, but I really don't get the appeal."

He makes a face. "You can take at least one."

She sighs and goes through the pile before digging out a Nightwing hoodie that looks comfy.

She thinks Jason won't care too much about being hailed the favorite but she's proven absolutely wrong. During one chat with him, he manages to slip it in the conversation.

"And then I told her that my sister makes better slippers!" Jason grins.

"You didn't!" She laughs.

"Speaking of that shop, apparently Red Hood fought off some thugs for the old lady." Jason takes a swig of his drink. "And he even threatened them not to go back!"

"Thats . . . that's cool."

"Right? He looks big and scary but he has a heart inside."

"Oh?"

"Yeah, and he helps out a lot of street kids too." He hastily adds: "I just heard about it."

Tim's approach is more passive-aggressive.

One morning when Marinette slips into the kitchen to make her coffee, she sees a rubber duck wedged between the coffee press and the cream. And it's not just a rubber duck. It's a rubber duck dressed as Red Robin.

The ducks follow her everywhere.

She catches one near her sewing machine, one pinned near a window where she usually works, another next to her baking supplies, inside her shoe, on her laptop. She only collects the ducks and makes them line up in her room.

But that's not all.

Themed advertisements begin to pop up whenever she uses her phone or laptop. The Red Robin symbol flickers every now and then at the corner of her screen.

Marinette frowns upon seeing another duck inside her purse. Damn your psychological harassment.

Damian is the most annoying one.

He springs out of nowhere and pops out a surprise attack whenever she's doing something. If Marinette's playing UMS Online, he'll stand in front of her screen and say, "Robin uses an awesome katana."

To which she replies, "Go away! I'm losing!"

He'll sit beside her during meals and state in a casual tone: "He has the best fighting skills out of all the others."

And she'll glower. "Not in front of my croissants, Damian."

He'll also accidentally 'run into' her whenever she's outside the manor. "It has come to my attention that he wants to cease being too much of an edgelord."

She'll walk past him. "Good thing to know."

What's worse is that Damian seems set on maintaining his 'favorite' status and is actively trying to sabotage the others' attempts.

When Marinette decides to slip on the Nightwing hoodie, she finds a Robin sticker stapled on top of the Nightwing logo.

Whenever Jason comes over and talks to her, Damian interrupts and the boys get into an argument.

Even the ducks aren't safe. Marinette sees a few re-dressed in a Robin getup.

Finally, after getting fed up with their stupid antics, she decides to end the war once and for all.

You remind him of Josuke and Okuyasu which only makes him like you even more. And the added cuteness-factor made him admit to himself he does indeed love cute things, no matter how adamantly he denies it to you.

His favourite thing to do is bring you along to the beach for field research, knowing just how wide eyed and giddy you get when you’re allowed to collect shells and rocks or even poke a jellyfish. You seem very good at spotting irregularities in your surroundings, making quite the good assistant to Dr. Kujo.

You’re even allowed to help with lab research, studying petri dishes filled with algae as you excitedly point out a very important detail he hadn’t noticed yet, too tired from working such long hours. Sometimes you’re quite the genius without even trying.

More than anything he loves the amount of lightness you bring to his life, his studies and general headspace take a large toll on him. Any relief is a welcome one.

He’ll often find himself smiling at the thought of hanging out again, staring at the collection of trinkets he keeps in a cute little Hello Kitty box you once gave him, which rests on his nightstand as a reminder that it can’t hurt to adapt your lifestyle of mindless giddy; even just the tiniest bit.

Risotto:

Being close friends with Risotto seems a bit impossible without being in his squad, he’s very insistent at keeping outsiders of Passione more than an arm-length away. Good thing that the stoic man is your capo, phew!

He’s apprehensive at first, not really sure why the soft round pebble you brought him reminded you of the man as he studied the mineral, admiring its softness. “It’s like you! Soft and worn down, but very sturdy and unbreakable.” smiling sweetly at him, excitedly awaiting a response.

What was this new feeling of being appreciated and cared for? Risotto’s never really experienced a friendship so pure. He’ll quietly thank you for the pebble and keeps it on his desk, staring in awe as he’s reminded of your kind words every time he spots it.

He knows the others like to tease you for not always being aware of general human knowledge, shooting them an intense glare as a warning to keep any rude comments or jokes to themselves.

Your friendship consists of him mostly listening to you, quietly taking in all the stories you divulge- so full of excitement, telling him facts you picked up somewhere; the source of these often containing varying levels of credibility. He won’t correct you though. (unless it’s something that might actually endanger you)

He values your friendship so.much. He’s not used to being treated so kindly, receiving random gifts, being praised for a job well done, having someone who doesn’t judge him in the slightest. He’ll do whatever he needs to keep you safe, from others and yourself, along with trying to return your kindness and care. (he tries his best and it’s so cute)

Prosciutto:

Prosciutto has a chronic case of “caring older brother disease”. Will need to hold himself back from tying your shoelaces for you, the man knows you can do it it yourself but it’s just taking sooo long.

Just like Risotto, you’d have to be a team member to get close to him in any way. Good thing he recruited you ;)

It’s a bit hard to make him open up about anything personal. You feel like he knows everything about you, while you barely know a thing. When he sees your pouty lip and begging gaze that is way too cute to deny, he’ll cave. Perhaps finally realising it’s alright to lean on others.

He’ll still struggle with continuing the openness, but find relief in your loyalty and understanding. The way you intently listen to his troubles, there to hold his hand if he ever needs it, it makes his heart hurt to know how sweet and gentle you are.

Will keep you and Pesci separate during missions, he’s already getting a migraine from imaging everything that could go wrong without his guidance.

For someone who’s a little more on the dense side, you make up for it in emotional intelligence. Whenever you see how stressed he tends to get, eye twitching without even realising while his shoulders hunch together in discomfort, you come over to hug him. Bruno:

It concerns Bruno just how clueless you can be from time to time. That one time they almost left you behind on a busy station with no cellphone because you found a coin on the ground made him realise you need some extra supervision.

He’s not the type to hold you back from doing things that are guaranteed to result in disaster (unless it’s literally deadly), he wants you to experience the consequences of your own actions.

You do make him hold back his laughter when you try out a stupid idea you know has failed in the past, but change your methods slightly to hope for better results. And you know what? Now he’s curious too.

The man has a weird sense of humour that sometimes even surprises you. He’ll copy your habit of picking up strange trinkets or rocks and asks you to compare findings with him. Like trading marbles, he’ll barter with a smirk.

“Mhh, if you give me that cute shell and that pointy rock... I’ll give you this keychain.” His alluring offer making you question if you’re getting swindled or not. “Hey! That shell is at least worth two stickers!” He’ll heartily laugh at your reply, a mischievous smile while thinking over the trade. “Ok, two stickers and a pebble then.”

With a firm handshake the deal goes through. The rest of the gang never knows how to respond, staring in amazement as their grown-ass capo barters with their grown-ass teammate. He loves being silly with you and forgetting all the pressures of life for just a moment.

Bruno takes his time opening up to you, but finds your presence so comforting it becomes very easy to trust you. As a vital part of his team he finds it important to be able to lean on each other for support and is glad you offer him just as much trust and loyalty.

Abbacchio:

Will never admit he can’t live without you anymore. You’ve become the shining beacon of assumed happiness the man never thought existed. He knows you won’t always be go-lucky and have your own troubles and struggles but admires how you handle them.

Don’t get me wrong, he’ll still gladly tease you for your occasional (well, more like frequent) stupidity. He’ll let you know with a big huff you should smarten up; “Read a book that doesn’t have pictures in it for once.”

He’ll be the first to correct any wrong info you’ve been given, unless he thinks it’s funny. Like when Mista made you believe you needed to order dessert at Libeccio or they’ll kick you out for breaking their beloved rule. It’s only when he saw the panic in your eyes when you finished your main course one day -too full for any sweets to come- that he assured you it was a dumb joke. (he’ll put all the blame on Mista)

Abbacchio seems to tether to people who have a positive influence on him without even realising, it won’t be obvious to him, but just like with his loyalty and admiration for Bruno, he’ll make sure you know it once he finds out.

Not that it’s a bad thing, his need to cling to anything that might help him stay afloat just needs to stay healthy. You didn’t even realise your effect on him, you were too busy trying to figure out a way to turn that scowl into that smirk.

After gifting him a handmade friendship bracelet that had the shortened versions of your names spelled on it, he hugged you. So tightly it was suffocating, you were shocked since he’s never been the touchy type. “Leone! I can’t breathe...” He’ll let go after the complaint but that look on his face will never leave your memory. The face of being loved unconditionally by choice, no matter how unworthy he might think himself of it.

Zen’s sort of an excessive person so he’s almost always the one giving you gifts. He doesn’t want for much and the stuff he does - like skincare products - you used to buy for him but he eventually convinced you to buy it also for yourself so you could do sheet masks together.

When you do buy gifts for him, it can be a bit difficult. His fans send him a bunch of stuff all the time, like baked goods, or fanart, or neckties. He, of course, is a lot happier when you decide to hand him something, but it’s almost never something he’s ever gotten before.

You have to outsource. So you order a custom-stamped leather bracelet from an indie crafter, something he can wear while rehearsing without worrying about it falling off. On the outside, you have ‘I love you’, and on the inside ‘Zen x MC’. 

You give it to him for Valentine’s, his favorite holiday. Zen dedicates the entire day to you and him, and pushes aside the many packages from his fans for later. 

You hand him a little box, and he opens it to gasp dramatically at the bracelet, immediately putting it on and exploring the texture of the leather. The lightly-colored tan matches his complexion perfectly.

First, a kiss for you, then its 904709 selfies with him proudly modeling his gift. It goes on his social media to a slight ruckus, because Zen’s never shown off any gifts he’s gotten before.

Your name isn’t on the outside to maintain privacy, which proves to be a good idea since that picture is circulated like crazy to mixed reactions.

Zen doesn’t care, this is by far the best gift he’s ever gotten. He hugs you tightly and promises to wear it always.

You like to buy knick-knacks for each other on occasion. Yoosung’s wallet isn’t packing so he can only get you stuff once and a while, and you return the favor with other little things.

And Yoosung is also kinda already surrounded by little trinkets and other stuff he’s collected on his own. Little figurines and toys from vending machines, plastic reward favors from convenience stores, character-themed pens and mugs and phone charms. 

It can get a little cluttered. His backpack alone is heavily decorated with pinback buttons and enamel pins, and you know he’s home just by the jingling of the many charms hanging off the zippers.

He’s also of a romantic and ‘cute’ mind, so when you give him practical gifts of a headset holder for his gaming desktop, he’s pleased but ... he prefers it when your gifts aren’t quite so banal.

You eventually do some deep surfing for his upcoming birthday, and find this adorable pack of laptop stickers based off of LOLOL characters. These wouldn’t take up anymore of his space, and he could still carry them with him. So during his birthday dinner, you give it to him over cake and he opens it with a gasp. 

“It’s ... oh, it’s so cute! It’s perfect, MC!” He hugs you tightly and immediately has you help him stick them on. 

He uses this laptop for school, bringing it with him on most days, so it was the perfect gift to remember you by. Whenever he opens his laptop in the student lounge, or in class, he sees all those bright colors reminding him of his favorite pastime, but also he thinks of you and how much you love each other.

You’ve gotten her spice giftboxes for her cooking, a set of cozy loungewear for the both of you, and other cute things she absolutely adores.

“We’re partners, now,” you said. She gave a watery smile and put her ring on proudly.

South Korea wouldn’t allow marriage between you two, so these rings promised more than a union. It promised a brighter future in the face of adversity. It promised progress in the name of love and equality. 

Jaehee struggles with societal expectations for a woman like her. This ring was like a shield against the worse thoughts, or an anchor during the more tremulous times. She had chosen to pursue you against the world’s wishes, and it was the best decision she’s ever made.

You and her wear the rings 24/7. To an onlooker, it just seemed like the two of you were separately engaged people. But she knows differently. A proud little secret. 

Customers sometimes make comments about them. She’d be ringing them up, and they’ll notice the brilliant white sapphire. “When’s the date?” some have asked. She stammered,  “It’s in the making.” The customer nodded, and wished her a happy union.

What the heck do you gift the man who could have anything he wanted? Material possessions are never a strain for him. He grew up knowing that any toy, any trinket, any new technology or experience he desired, he would get. He’d ask for ice cream and his father’d purchase an entire chain. 

His current self rarely buys indulgences. He’s had years of being fulfilled already. But he definitely buys gifts for you, almost to ridiculous levels. You can see from the diversity of gifts that he has a reach for any product or merchandise, anywhere at any time. 

When it came time to get him a gift, you had asked the RFA for advice. And everyone was as clueless as you were. Even Jihyun wasn’t sure; the two of them have almost never exchanged gifts throughout the long years of their friendship, since they knew the other was showered in generosity already. 

“You’re gonna have to go custom. Something that can’t be bought,” Zen suggested. So when Jumin announced that he had to go to Birmingham for a business meeting, you came along with him. Which you seldom do, since it’s two days of Jumin being stuck at meetings leaving you to your own devices. But you had a plan.

You looked up a luxury custom perfumery, and with the help of an expert nez you crafted a bottle that would complement him perfectly. On the bottle was a label that said “Love Forever by MC”. 

So for his birthday, he accepted his gift with grace and asked where you bought it. “This bottle doesn’t look like its from Clive Christian, is it? Maybe it’s Dior ...” 

You explained where you got it, and giggled when his mouth dropped open in surprise. He opened it, sniffed, and his smile grew bigger ‘cause it was so much more special now. It was made under your hand, something that will never be replicated. His and his only. 

He loves wearing it to work. It’s so wonderful to be surrounded by a smell that reminds him of you. 

-- Saeyoung: Fingerprint Charm --

He’s a surprisingly complicated man to gift. Like Jumin, he neither lacks nor wants for material needs. Sometimes you’ve given him cute candies or hand-knitted mittens for winter, and meanwhile he’ll give you ridiculously advanced robot cats or he’ll bust out his packing wallet and boom, you’ve got a new Gucci clutch bag.

He kinda knows that he’s hard to gift. So whenever you shyly hand over a six-pack of gag-flavored soda for Christmas or something, he makes a big show of loving it and thanking you with kisses and nuzzles. And he does love it! He’s never had gifts before, not from V or Rika or his co-workers, and definitely not from his mother. Just the thought that someone cared enough to surprise him with trinkets is so heartwarming.

But your anniversary was coming up. It marked the day that Saeyoung’s life turned around a complete 180 for the better. A very important day, one that you couldn’t mark with an exotic beef jerky bouquet or whatever.

One day, while touring a small art fair, you found an indie jeweler who offered custom fingerprint charms. You set up a date to come in and make a mold by pressing your thumb into a block of sand, which was cast into a mold and into which steel was poured. 

You gave it to him over a late-night car ride date. He took the charm out of the little bag and stared at it, you explained what it was. “That’s my very own fingerprint right there. I hope it’s something you can carry with you, and remember me by.”

He was silent for a few long seconds. You saw that his hand was shaking. So you reached over and kissed him, he embraced you tightly and said with a wavering voice, “Thank you.” A sniffle, and he was back to his cheery self. You helped him put it on his keychain, next to his car keys. 

He loves it dearly. Especially when he fingers the print and feels the groves, imagining your hand.

For a long while, Saeran couldn’t live a proper civilian life and spent many days holed up at home, stuck in an anxious and depressive slump. Any venture outside was an ordeal for him. Bit by bit, through therapy and medication, he regained his confidence.

You found this sweater online, and you knew how much he liked wearing sweaters at home. It had this quote on it that the both of you were familiar with. It had been one of the repeated self-forgiving phrases his therapist suggested. Saeran took to that phrase particularly well. He repeats it in his mind when he feels himself on the verge of a breakdown, and it helps de-escalate. 

You knew you had to buy it. But keeping it secret from Saeran was kinda a challenge because he likes to tour around your internet history when he’s bored. Not for malicious reasons, he’s just curious and wants to know what kind of stuff you like to re-tweet, or what shops you frequent. 

So with Saeyoung’s help, you ordered the sweater under a guise Saeran wouldn’t be able to crack without some effort, and it ended up being a legit surprise when you handed Saeran his gift. 

You watched his eyes trace the quote carefully, and at his fingers tracing the screenprinted flowers. He was quiet for a long while, just exploring the sweater thoroughly.

He can’t remember the last time he’s gotten a gift. Maybe it had been never. His eyes teared up.

You hugged him close and stroked his hair like he said he enjoys. It was almost hard for him to accept this from you; he’d spent years trying to approve others under threat of violence, and he’s rarely gotten to experience true generosity. 

He wears it at least once a week. It’s his absolute favorite article of clothing forever and ever.

For the holidays, Jihyun had given you a beautiful set of jewelry over dinner, along with a framed photo of yourself that he had taken some time before. He rarely decides to spoil you with his riches, but sometimes the occasion calls for it. 

How can you match up with his generosity? You knew Jihyun would be charmed with whatever you gave him, but you wanted your gift to mean something. 

Once your anniversary began to creep up, you had an idea and began working on your project two weeks in advance - it was going to be a beautiful scrapbook of not just Jihyun’s photos, but also little momentos and decorations on every page, detailing particular moments of your life together up to this point. 

You scoured his instagram, printing out copies onto photo paper and cutting and pasting. You folded within old plane, bus, and boat tickets. There were sightseeing brochures from trips abroad, old restaurant menus, stamps from envelopes he had sent you. You wrote messages and captions with multicolored ink. 

Extra special were the pages dedicated to when the two of you moved into the new apartment together, and when V was officially recovered from retina surgery, and also the first RFA party he co-hosted with you. Some pages touched on more sad subjects.

Finally, you finished the scrapbook just in time for the anniversary, and it was all worth it to see Jihyun completely blown away by the effort you put into it. He spent several minutes on every page, talking them over with you and reminiscing. 

He managed to hold in his tears until the last page, which you kept empty except for a calligraphy script that said, “... and into the beyond.”

Marie’s Inventory

Mobile Phone: Save historical verses where this would not apply, it’s encased in some sort of pastel pink/rose gold case. If she’s wealthy, this case is encrusted in crystals, one of which is a pin that opens a secret compartment. What’s in the compartment is verse dependent.

Wallet: Her wallet is pretty verse dependent. It’s almost always pink, but whether it’s genuine leather or not depends on her class. Should she find herself with money, her wallet will be the one released to match the purse, so they will vary depending on which bag matches her outfit that day. Inside is cash, cards, loyalty cards and an ID. She doesn’t have a driver’s license.

Keys: Keys to her dwelling and place of employment if applicable. Also one of those kitty cat self defense keychains, though she isn’t quick thinking enough to use it. All of these are attached to a crystal strassed strap. Blush pink, of course.

Sunglasses: Big and bold and making a statement.

Makeup Pouch: The essentials for touching up throughout the day. Powder, mascara, lipstick, eyeliner, some makeup remover wipes to rid herself of raccoon eyes when she’s been crying. Hair ties and an ungodly amount of bobby pins are also in this bag, along with a travel vial of her perfume. Also pastel pink.

Feminine Hygiene Pouch: Tampons, panty liners, a spare pair of panties, Midol. This pouch is white and nondescript, with a pink zipper. She’s a discreet girl when it comes to bodily functions.

Planner: Even in a technological age, Marie lives her life by a written planner. It’s absolutely massive, has accompanying stickers, tabs, and is entirely color coded, written in her own invented shorthand. Physically writing things down makes her feel more in control.

Pens: SO. MANY. PENS. First, of course, we have the pen, pink and feathered and fluffy. Then the pens she might let someone borrow (black flair pens). Then the pens that go with her planner. These are similar to the jelly roll gel pens, nothing overly bright or neon, but a full rainbow spectrum as well as silver, gold, and rose gold. All the pens except for the fluffy pen are contained in a pastel pink cylindrical zip pouch. The zipper has an acrylic crystal charm on it.

Medication: There are several orange bottles rattling around in her purse. Why they haven’t been organized in their own special unit is currently a mystery. Desperation over discretion, perhaps. Alprazolam is always at the ready, accompanied by Zolpidem. In wealthy verses, these belong to her. If she is not well off, the name on the bottle is very likely not hers. A bottle of ibuprofen lays at the bottom as well, should she suffer aches outside of her menses, or in the even someone around her needs a hand.

Cigarettes: Only applicable in gutter verses, Marie carries an unopened pack of cigarettes to remind her of her mother and who not to become. Eventually with growth and finding her footing, she’ll abandon these.

Chizuru loves collecting things, and gachapon and blind boxes are her ultimate weaknesses. She has so many little keychains and figures, even stickers, plastered all over her room. It’s even started to bleed into the cafe as she just leaves them around the register or hands them out to people for free.

long ramble about good finds! and also burned out question about a cougar skull in ohio and rant at the bottom. i have slept 5 hours total in the past 2 days. ple.as.e do n.ot r.ebl.og this.

so went to this reenactment thing with grandparents down in the middle of fuck-all nowhere in inch deep mud. but right a few booths in comes this majestic, extensive fur and pelt stall. was just gonna look at the prices and laugh at the huge overpricing on things like tail keychains (and i did, seriously, 25$ for a scrappy coon tail? pff) but. then there were these racks and racks of pelts and. the prices were all actually really good? for nice wallhangers? and tons of them? like 10 different morphs/wild and ranch foxes (side note like I knew kit foxes were small but never -that- small i mean holy shit.) (also some of those ranch guys were as large as the coyotes wtf. they had a ranch arctic/white next to a wild and !!!!!! it was nearly taller than me and just, well, !!!!!!), bobcats, coyotes, badgers, coons, beavers, ringtails, etc etc. even a wolverine with full set of claws! (and what was either the sorriest sized, furred, and colored wolf, or just a random coyote they stuck a big sticker on, but ehh.) then going up to the actual booth to pay they have a little collection of skulls on top of everything too!

basically what I'm saying is I got 3 of my dream collection goals (or partials, in the case of the skulls, but shush) for less than what a single one of them would run me elsewhere.

except.

i just... don't feel anything? like i should be at least happy-ish? but i just don't? like i know im in a bad state rn but like even at the (smoke. smoke EVERYWHERE. idfc about historical accuracy when almost every single one of 100-ish tents has their own big smoker/fire going) fest i was like, not dancing per say, when i fell in love with the most beautiful cross fox and had him all nice and bagged up, but def pretty happy.

maybe it's because when I went back to nab those skulls they were really, and i mean really, pushing me to buy the other i was looking at. that they were adamantly calling a bear. like i literally had them next to each other and they looked absolutely nothing alike. but "yes it is, the nose just... broke off! it's a bear! totally!". i should have really taken it as a warning when all three jumped on me as soon as i was "ooh, a bear and cougar skull!". but i was too excited to think about it until just this past hour. it was the only one without a species written on the tag too im now realizing. like dudes (and lady), you've all been in the business for like 30+ years each, you know what a cat looks like. or at very least can look at two skulls and say "yep, those aren't the same" (when you've been able to differentiate between like 5 broken mustelids correctly and all the others on your table)

anyway back to the story so now i have a nice fox (legal), upper bear skull (legal) (with canines too!), and a probable partial upper cougar skull that i may or may not actually be able to own (and that they have plausible deniability to have sold) (i was thinking about other species which are fine selling interstate, thought it was one (mope like, wait no you can't sell x from section ii in these states but others are fine and it isn't that species which seems is rarer) and didn't think to double check even if i did have reception there. stupid me.)

before you ask, yes I have used the vc state legal masterpost/chart, it was the first thing I went to.

from the various gov and wildlife and guides and etc i... honestly have no idea anymore. i got 4 hours of sleep last night and 2 the previous, slogging through legal-ese, even dumbed down legal-ese, is not something i can really handle anymore. it's not an ohio furbearer or anything, so the part about being able to trade in-state with ii section native animal species (if i even read that part of the regulations right) doesn't actually apply? but it's also not being imported anywhere, even just across state lines, and almost all the info i can find only relates to import/export and international border crossing (which is the same technically, but you know). (there's some sort of vague clause i dont quite understand about personal collection items sometimes being exempt from needing permits when moving out of the country. but again, not helpful). don't know if someone had it in captivity/whatever either, though with the condition it's in I doubt it

so on one hand, I might need to throw away (two thirds of) an upper skull of a dream species because i couldn't read the stupid warning signs and thought i knew the rules for it. on the other hand, it was 7$. ive paid more than that for every individually purchased skull (when you include shipping) in my collection. (not counting bulk/bundle orders, but even then...)

basically what it boils down to (hah. boiled. bc it looks professionally cleaned/whitened if it wasn't for the condition/missing sections.) im completely burned out, have been for the past month, and just. cant deal with any more of this. i cant even enjoy my dear cross (currently airing out downstairs hanging from the fan in gm and gp's living room bc of all the GODDAMN SMOKE I HAD TO CARRY IT THROUGH) bc of this, and also dreading tomorrow bc there's literally zero chance gm/gp won't tell mom abt it at the picnic thing and she's gonna be completely pissed to hell since im supposed to be selling all but my most beloved everything (even if it was technically a gift from them and i didn't buy it myself) since she's out of a job and im getting minimum wage at mine and need to take more hours but also sign up for classes and take those somehow too at the same time and also fill out all the govt paperwork to try getting me (her) help and. yeah. Team 8 3rd Anniversary Concert in Saitama 17/4/2 (evening show) Live Report

okay so starting out i just want to point out

that in the bag of concert brochure and other things they gave us as we went in

there was a brochure for winglets

also the sign i got was onishi’s which yay that’s pretty great

they also gave us a random lettered sticker for what block we would go to for the matsuri games

i got d and forgot to look up who was doing what booth so i just went to the menko booth.

i had no idea what that was but hikarun and hijirin were running it and were very cute

i also couldn’t really figure out the game by the time it was my turn and i just kind of accidentally dropped the coaster thing they gave me but it knocked down something else so i won a keychain 

for the concert my seat was in the third level so i didn’t get any up-close idol but it was cool to see how the entire stage was set up the entire time

before the pre-show started there was a pre-pre-show skit

it featured top lead (one was a teacher, the other was a father, i can’t remember who was who i’m sorry i’m here for the idols) while takita kayoko made an appearance as the mother and she and the top lead father introduced their “daughters” to their new teacher

these were riona (who only spoke in english), pena (who did an impression i think of kyoka?), harupyon (who jumped a lot), and kurenyan (who did a moe line)

then pre-show with the kanto members

they said in an mc that ayane chose the setlist for the pre-show

ayane getting the spotlight here was so great, she was the center for everything

and i have been wanting her in kimi no c/w forever so i’m so glad

aisatsu kara hajimeyou through 47 no machi e were all part of a skit about ikumin confessing 

it was a smaller amount of girls (ikumin, hiichan, and moka were there at least... probably around 12 total?) with ikumin at the center which was great

also they were all wearing different school uniforms and for whatever reason they gave ikumin the majigaku 4/5 uniform??? like at first i thought this was gonna turn into a majisuka gakuen au

in between river and 47 machi e there was a short break with ikumin doing a version of oogoe diamond with odaeri singing harmony

ikumin.... at least your singing has improved i guess...

then during 47 no machi e she was like “OKAY I’LL CONFESS” and then rode a bike down the stage and ran to one of the stands and gave a random fan a love letter

at the end all the members were also doing the gacchikoi chant along with the fans that was great

and then everyone came in during nounai paradise

end roll was absolutely amazing

like listen team 8 has some fantastic dancers and dang these girls are top tier

during the dance bridge the music cut out and this beatboxer guy came out and well, beatboxed and they danced to just that. first solo and then as a group and man it was awesome

hatsukoi dash started off with ayane being the only one on time and everyone else late and at the other end of the stadium

as an apology kaorumba just. took out violin and started playing it. and harupyon started doing a rubix cube

ayane was having none of this nonsense and was just like “if you want to apologize just run over here. and as punishment you gotta yell out a confession as you do it”

harupyon finished her rubix cube by her turn

for she’s gone it started out with a “saitama collection”, aka all of the girls in the unit doing like a mini fashion show down to center stage

tonari no banana was probably my favorite unit of the night??? 

because it started with naru coming out and being like “let’s introduce our new member...”

and then yamada nanami walked out

they then got kyoka to come out and gosh she’s adorable. still totally raw but she’s got a sort of ksgk vibe to her and i love her

after the first chorus they brought out this box and kyoka’s just like “here’s a present for you, naru! get in!” and naru went in and... 

it opened again and pena was in the box instead

kyoka’s reaction was just like

“hm guess i got it wrong oh well” and they just finished the song with the two of them

where did naru go????? never explained, just went on to the next song

tsundere opened with hijirin calling the “tanis” to assemble, and called the unit members

moka was not thrilled about being called the “tanis” because she’s “yaguchi”, not “taniguchi”

they also did a tsundere moe line during the middle, moka’s was “geez, stop calling me taniguchi, it’s annoying. just call me moka.”

look you guys know me, i’m not too into the cool dance numbers but dang dance8 just killed uza and make noise

between the two numbers there was another dance breakdown with bgm courtesy of beatboxing guy

adult8 didn’t have too much dancing or anything, a lot of their stuff was just kinda walking around looking sexy 

but during innocence odaeri actually sang the solo lines and dang

the eightles were definitely the highlight of the concert for me

definitely not the best band i’ve ever heard, but i liked how they had the violin in there from rumba

odaeri probably would have been a better vocalist, but rin was just having so much fun and had so much energy that it really pumped up the crowd 

at the beginning of heavy rotation it sounded like there was some dissonance between the violin and keyboard?? not sure what happened there

top lead being announced as making the setlist for 83 got the biggest reaction from the crowd of the news and let me tell you i am so hyped
