good news: the mysterious (t?)chaiko is confirmed to have a partner of 30 years. if i’m reading it right his partner's name is agawa seichirou.

bad news: said partner has terminal cancer.

yea so the chapter is basically the long-awaited tchaiko life story:

- tchaiko and seichirou met in uni where they were both exchange students (that was 40 yrs ago oh dear how old are these lovely elder gays /feels soft)

- they dated for a while, but broke up and seichirou went on to get married and have a son

- eventually he came to terms with being gay. wife wanted a divorce the very same day he confessed, and she received custody of their son

- then seichirou and tchaiko got back together

- when seichirou fell ill, his son (now 30yo) came to visit and they mended their relations

- tchaiko is super happy for him, but has decided never to let his husb’s family know of his existence bc he doesn’t want to ruin things for them

- tsubaki (👀) goes all... but if that's the case, u won’t be able to watch over him when the time comes right? without the family’s approval, u won’t be allowed in during his last moments. that’s what i heard (lol u sure Hear a lot for someone who’s not Into The LGBT Stuff 👀)

- tchaiko is just like… that’s true. welp. already made peace with that. he’s more than satisfied with the many years they have spent together

- and proceeds to be super cheerful, talking about how they can still keep in touch thru the wonders of technology

- tchaiko mentions they had dreamed of opening a cafe&bar together

- cue haruko and saki going :O!!

- they travelled the world collecting all sorts of utensils and furniture with that in mind, but in the end had to part with them to fund medical expenses ):

- they even took coffee roasting courses CAN U BELIEVE IT

- apparently that’s where he met anonymous lmao. they knew each other long before the lounge was set up woooowww

- which leads to tasuku being all pensive and thinking, are u sure u won’t regret it? why don’t u try talking to his family?… but unable to voice it out
