I've been away from Tumblr for a bit and recently got back. I'm so sorry to hear about Lobo, I remember when you got him and have fond memories of seeing your posts about him. Lucky dog, seems like he had a really great life with you. That said, congrats on the new puppy, she's absolutely precious, and I hope you're having a good day overall!

Thank you. It was really sudden and unexpected but I was happy that I got a good couple weeks with him after his cancer diagnosis. I was just stuck in place for nearly 2 weeks after I had to put him down but I've been talking about him a lot with my partner and my family and have had enough time to start healing. I miss him so so so much but when I saw Blue's pictures she just felt right. She...has the same silly face he had 😭

She was born the week I found out Lobo was sick as well which is kinda comforting in its own way. Just at the time I felt ready to start looking for another dog there she was, ready to go to a new home. I didn't wanna get overly excited before I went to get her just because [gestures anxiety] but if nothing else it feels good to be ready to look for another companion. My plan was to get another dog this year since Lobo would have been 6 next week. I wanted him to have a little buddy to raise and play with since he loved other animals. I had so much love left to give him, but now all of that (and more) gets to go to baby Blue ;-;
