ok so i actually just finished watching idolmaster side m and am currently obsessed with shiki <3

so I have a two headcannons (so far) about this baby

main headcannon

shiki is non-binary (he/she/they)

in the episode where shiki was giving out flyers, when jun walked pass the two girls, one of them said "that girl was so cute" followed by shiki's famous catchphrase, clueing jun into figuring out that shiki was giving our posters

(fastfoward to when as jun realises that shiki is trying he's best to help out highxjoker and the truck passes by, effectively blowing shiki's poster onto the ground) as shiki bends down to pick them up, I realised that shiki tied his checkered jacket(?) around his waist and that made him look as if he was wearing a skirt in that one scene.

realising that, I also noticed how shiki was already wearing long sleeves(if my memory serves me correct) and still decided to tie the jacket on his waist, and while ik some might say it's fashion, I'm taking this as a way of wearing a "skirt" since boys aren't generally seen as those who would wear skirts, especially with the older generation and since shiki is giving out posters to promote his unit, having a "clean" image would be important

I also noted on how shiki's stage outfit was slightly different from the rest of his units mates instead of the similar shirt-like design, shiki had one a long coat. though I know that this is because shiki is the main vocalist and he is dressed that way to stand out, he has the option to inform the producer that he wants a shirt-like cutting of the same jacket(or whatever it is) .

and of course not to mention all the pink, now ik that most would just say that colour preference doesn't depend on gender and I wholeheartedly agree with that. but a 16 year old teenage boy liking pink and isn't afraid of being "bullied" about it?

shiki is also generally dressed in a way at which pink is a prominent feature present in his outfit, for example: he's glasses, he's pink shirt under his school uniform, his pink kuma wristband, and those pink flowers around his neck for his joint performance outfit.

shiki is also regularly seen in long shirts and jackets(?) with coat tails, somewhat like wearing a dress (and yes i know that some people might argue and say that it's fashion but this is just something that I noticed)

second headcannon

this one might be a little more obvious but shiki has abandonment issues/he's scared of people leaving him

shiki was constantly the one recording their pv(promotional video)

when asked if he had any interest, shiki mentioned that he didn't have any and all he did in middle school was hangout at a karaoke, and while it was not mentioned if he had any friends accompanying him or not, shiki looked sad when he mentioned that and the main conclusion that i came to was that he was alone

shiki recorded his seniors having fun and didn't think of joining them until they "pulled" him in

shiki only stood by and watch as his seniors had fun in the pool, not even thinking of joining them until they somewhat pulled him into joining them in the water

as someone who loves to hang around people, most would just jump into the pool to enjoy a good night swim with their friends, however shiki didn't and opted to just record them having fun without him

shiki loves being in big groups

shiki is constantly seen in big groups of people, and the only time when he is alone would be when he walks/cycles home from school.

even during the training camp, he was always constantly seen with a big group, no matter if it is the stamina group or sitting with his unit mates for dinner or even during the water gun fight (which all he did was lie down and accept the cooling water being sprayed at his face)

shiki is never once seen alone in any scene as long as there is a group of people, he like to stick with others and join in on whatever that is happening within the group

these are just some things that I have noticed, these conclusions are based solely on my own observations throughout the anime. if you don't agree with me, it's fine, this is just my opinion and I would appreciate if you respect my opinion as I will respect yours. though I doubt that anyone will actually see this long ass random thought that I post, if you do so happen to see it and disagree with it, just ignore this whole thing and move on with your life thank you very much
