NATSUKI NAKAGAWA (Sound! Euphonium)

Her Deal: Euphonium player in the Kitauji High School Concert Band alongside Kumiko Oumae. Asuka Tanaka's successor as Band Vice President.

Coolest Character in Sound! Euphonium?: Perhaps the most underrated (and daresay coolest) character in the franchise, Natsuki had pulled off a 360° turn of her character arc from a lazy, disinterested band member to a kind, reliable senpai, friend, and band mate as evident in the two seasons of the series and even the "Liz and the Blue Bird" movie.

KOYOMI "YOMI" MIZUHARA (Azumanga Daioh)

Her Deal: Has a perfect combination of brains and athleticism (though second only to Chiyo Mihama in terms of academic excellence, and to the duo of Sakaki and Kagura in sports). The sort of mature one on the Azumanga Daioh bunch.

Long time Friends: Yomi and Tomo have been friends for a long time since grade school. Their playful dynamic also mirrors the relationship between their PE teacher Minamo Kurosawa and homeroom adviser Yukari Tanizaki who appeared to be childhood friends as well.

AKANE TSUNEMORI (Psycho-Pass)

Her Deal: Inspector of the MWPSB. Has a clear hue and low crime coefficient even in times of stress. Knows everything about the Sibyl System.

Akane's Evolution: Akane have been through a lot of stuff during the course of the series. She lost two important people in her life (her friend Yuki and her grandmother), her Enforcer/friend Shinya Kogami went into hiding, and discovered the inner workings of the Sibyl System. And yet her Psycho-Pass remained unchanged much to the dismay of Enforcer Sakuya Togane and fellow Inspector Mika Shimotsuki.

REBECCA "REVY" LEE (Black Lagoon)

Her Deal: The trigger-happy, only female member of the Lagoon Company. Curses like a sailor.

One-Woman Fighting Machine: Revy is pretty much adept with all kinds of weaponry and her gun skills will put every male counterpart to shame.

KUMIKO OUMAE (Sound! Euphonium)

Her Deal: Main protagonist of the Sound! Euphonium franchise. Veteran euphonium player since middle school. Her joining the concert band is inspired by her older sister Mamiko.

The Reina Connection: Kumiko and Reina are both in the same concert band in middle school but did not interact much - until that fated band competition where Reina got emotionally upset with their band not competing for the nationals. That image struck a chord on Kumiko, which played a huge factor on whether or not she'll ever played in a band again in high school. But as the story goes, the two "reunited" in Kitauji, developed a friendship, and the rest is history.

2018.02.24 Tanaka Hiroki’s 24th Birthday Event - 3rd Show [Report]

I was able to one of Hiroki-Kun's birthday events! I went to the last one and it was so much damn fun! I'll try and remember as best as I can.

They spoke about how they met him and I was super surprised to learn that I’ve know Hirokikun LONGER than Ryo! I feel like those two have known each other for years, but Ryo was like ‘we’ve barely known each other a year yet we’ve already done about 6 stages together’ which I thought was CRAZY! I cannot believe I’ve known Hiroki longer than Ryo. That’s just... insane. And Yukari mentioned that while Hiroki is the youngest between them all, it doesn’t feel like it, especially with Hiroki’s taste in comedy and comedians. That’s how Hiroki and Yukari bonded, they’d show each other comedian videos between the IkazuchigaOka shows (review here).

The Ranking Game

They played a game where they had a situation to act out, but beforehand they had to pull a piece of paper out of a box (1 - 10) and depending on that number, would determine what kind of role they would have. So, for example; if the situation was an Entertainment Company and one of the members pulled a 10 and another pulled a 5 and one more pulled a 1 then probably the 10 would mean they play the CEO, 5 would mean a recently debuted idol and 1 would be like the lowest job in the company or even a debt-infested fan xD BUT the trick was, no one else could know their number, so they had to rank themselves depending on how the others were acting. So someone could be perceived as acting like a manager or a CEO, so the person with the number 9 would then jump into vice-CEO, but in reality that CEO person might only have a number 6 and was trying to be an assistant or something. Does this make sense? Visually it made sense and it was hilarious! They did three situations.

I won’t be able to go into too much detail - because I won’t do them justice - but I’ll talk about the parts that stood out to me:

(1) Ryo-kun has the WORST luck, he pulled 1 for ALL three situations and at one point he just led face down on the floor like a dead animal or person and everyone was dying with laughter and knew straight away what his number was. No one could believe how BAD his luck was each time! It got more and more hilarious every time.

(2) The Tanaka Audition basically had all the guys doing different types of Hiroki; shy, cool, geeky etc. And then Hiroki himself came in and was like 'superhero' Hiroki and did moves from the Raidemal days which was super cool (I'm a huge tokusatsu geek okay!). I remember Akaba and Yukari were pretending to be the manager and assistant which was confusing because it was like 'well you're not Hiroki at all!' but turns out they had numbers 10 and 9 so they could be above the rest of the Hirokis xD

(3) In the Hikkikomori scene Hiroki was the center of it and was a real brat. He was just on his computer, ignoring his mother and then one of them (Igarashi Keisuke?) pretended to be a fly which cracked every one up. And then there was a twist where Hiroki turned to his little brother (I think that was Toshi) and yelled 'I'm your sister!!' .... Toshi reacted 'you're a girl?!?!' which was hilarious and caused drama there xD OF COURSE Hiroki would end up having that kind of character. I just love how he's always so gender-fluid and stuff. He often plays gay roles, he often crissdresses, he loves doing all this stuff and I love he's just totally normal and cool about it and I love him for doing this stuff! <3 my heart...

(4) I don't remember much about the band one except that because Ryo had pulled a one again, he was just a pile of goo on the floor, being all shy and anxiet-ty and being like 'I can't play guitar! I can't do anything!' and then (I think) Matsui Yui walked in with a guitar and being all like 'I'm too old for this! We can't play!'.

The Gifts

There was a random segment where Hiroki brought two bags on stage and they pulled an audience member's chair number out of the hat and who ever that was got a present from him. One was a jacket he had picked out especially and one was his very own jacket that he had signed. And... I bloody won one. He called my seat and I just died. I remember just putting my hands onto my face and embarrassingly raising my hand. I am the type of person who would like to win BUT I'm just as happy for someone else to win and I'm happy that someone wins. I ALSO have the massive fear of 'if I win, I don't want to stand up, get on stage and accept the gift from them' so in all honesty, I would much rather someone else won. BUUUUT I was happy I won. I won the denim jacket which was Hiroki's own and the MC was like 'it's embarrassing isn't it.' and I nodded slightly and Hiroki (luckily we didn't have to stand up) came out with the bag and was like 'don't worry, I washed it'. Afterwords, I made super super that Hiroki understood that I wasn't hiding because I didn't wanna win, but because I was embarrassed and surprised. I feel like my actions might have come across as 'wow she really doesn't want this' so I made sure to explain! I will never wear this jacket and it smells great and it looks really nice too. The jacket AND the bag he gave me is signed ^_^

The BL Video

Hiroki teased (link here) a few weeks before the event that during the third show, he would show us a little video he made. We knew it was going to be about Hiroki going on a date with a guy in Yokohama. So he finally showed us the video, but not before Toshi came running into the crowd to find an empty seat so he could watch it properly. So it became obviously very soon that it was all scripted and stuff and they did it like part interview and part clips of the date and guess who his dang date was? TOSHIKUN! I was like 'yeesss!!!' and it was super adorable. Even though it was scripted, they went ice skating together and went on the ferris wheel and went to the Yokohama spa and chilled. It also ended in a kiss which got me dying inside -- I kinda hope now that they really are dating in real life.... -- and I got all the feels because they filmed in bloody Yokohama - MY HOMETOWN!!!!! So I was like 'ohh I've been there! There too! OH! I know where that is!' and it's so weird that I could've actually bumped into him while filming this. He filmed everything literally down the street from me. I also joked to him later that he should tell me when he's going to Yokohama next so I can crash his date and we can Yokohama-it together! ^_^ that would be super fun! Me, Hiroki and Toshi hanging out in Yoks together.... ahhh whatta dream...

The Cheki

As per usual, we could get chekis at the end of the show. I did contemplate getting one with Ryo but to be honest, I don't think he knows me really and I didn't want to betray Hiroki at his own birthday event! So I backed out. GUYSS!!! He's such a damn sweetie!!!

After the event, me and mum were joking that he picked me seat on purpose so I'd get to gift and a part of me is like 'well maybe he did do it on purpose' but another part of me is like 'he wouldn't do that. He probably didn't even know where I was sitting until he walked out on stage' so lets just assume the universe is telling me and him that we need to stick together xD

[DDL] Kokuchou no Psychedelica the Stage

Synopsis:

As she fell deeper and deeper into the darkness, she could hear the sound of rainfall. Also, she heard an animalistic cry. When she woke up, the young girl found herself in a Western-style mansion. An unknown, terrible monster rushes to attack the confused girl. As the young girl ran away from the monster, she thought: "Where is this place?" "Who am I, anyway?" Having lost pretty much all of her memories, she eventually met and joined up with some men in the same circumstances as her. They all held weapons that were strange handguns. From there on out, with their lives at stake, they must participate in the "Black Butterfly Hunt", and collect "Kaleidoscope Shards" possessed by those monsters. Inside the Western-style mansion in which despair and betrayal swirls, will they be able to find hope in their futures?
