Hi, shiny!

I have a question. How similar are the personality of the criminals and the characters whose bodies they ended up in? As far as I understand, they should be a little similar, since there are characters who did not understand that there was another person in front of them (for example, Raggy, if I remember correctly). But at the same time, other characters did not have the same feelings for them as for MC.

Sorry if a similar question has already been asked.

They're all very similar! That's the point of the quiz, to find out who you might be most similar to. Although the quiz isn't always accurate. But for the most part, the comparison between the MCs and the characters they replace is fairly solid. Just look at the stories, and you'll see.

Deuce never found out about King!MC's identity. Ace found out because MC told him. Cater found out because he overheard. Trey and Riddle were really the only two to find out on their own due to noticing minor differences. So MC and the character they replaced aren't completely the same, but they're close to it.

It's usually the more observant of characters that find out on their own, like Leona with Chieftain!MC or Jamil with Vassal!MC. But on the occasions where MC does mess up by doing something out of character for their role, others can find out like Trey with King!MC or Epel with Retainer!MC.

I adore the damnation au, your writing is great and the stories are so much fun, but I gotta be honest Diviner!Mc and Vassal!Mc felt kinda stale. The stories were fun but the Mc's felt like they didn't belong or didn't fit (which is a bit ironic to say) and that their stories felt rushed. I still enjoy the stories but those two would be the ones I'm probably not gonna reread

Fair! Thank you for sharing your opinion. And honestly, I agree. I have not made it secret that I am not proud of Octavinelle and Scarabia, they really got the short end of the stick story wise and MC wise.

I think I mentioned this before, but those were the last stories I wrote in their batches, so by then I was wanting to hurry and complete them to be done with it. I am desperately trying to avoid another repeat of that, so hopefully Ignihyde and Diasomnia both turn out pretty good. Hopefully. Third time's the charm.

Oh, okay, okay, this is a solid list. I like it. I'd like to hear your explanation, but here's my thoughts on each one.

First song I knew even without listening to it. It makes sense, because if you think about it, Riddle is technically the only one that marries/is married to their story's mc, King!MC.

Second song I hadn't listened to before, so I looked it up and listened to the lyrics and it does surprisingly seem to fit. Especially considering Chief!MC's personality and behaviors.

Third song I had to actually listen to, then I recognized it. Simple, make sense. Does well.

Fourth song I listened to before, but had to listen to it again just to remember it. Again, makes sense, does well.

Fifth song surprised me the most, because I was not expecting that. I had to do a little extra digging for the translated lyrics and it makes sense? Especially the bird part. Was not expecting for this one to fit as well as it did, but it did.

Sixth song, I'm assuming you meant the song from the second Frozen movie? Hah, I see what you did there. Into the Unknown, because none of y'all knows what comes next in these results.

I'll be lynched for this but personally the ones I had more things that felt off where the crow and king

the king while probably being the one I enjoyed the most, the fact that 'and then time skip while mc told them the truth' felt pretty repetitive, and I get that mc is kinda anxious so the feeling to explain themselves is understandable, but that did felt off?, not in an organic way to procede the story I mean, still as I said I loved that one

The crow, for the hype I saw did left me a bit unmoved I suppose, maybe the epel being revealed felt rushed, but still of course since being a character not known by the mc they would try to get them to their side, the vil part didn't felt half as threatening as the other stories, and paled in comparison to your other iterations bout him, I get many like him being soft and I do to, but this was all fluff, which for the suspense vibe this au has did felt a bit more plain. I read the preview you posted on here (a long while ago since that 😂) and it did gave me high expectations but then while good, it wasn't as intense as the other damnation stories, also I had to double check when I saw a (Y/N) in the storie, that was a first

Oooh, okay, I see, I see. A very unique take, anon. I'm used to people saying King!MC and Retainer!MC were their favorites, so I haven't really seen commentary like yours. In no way is it bad! I actually appreciate it.

There were two reasons I made Vil softer than the others. One, I will admit, was because of the number of simps that wait for the content. But two, if you look at all the characters, not all of the villains were as close to their sidekick. You can say Iago and Jafar were the closest, maybe even the Queen of Hearts and King of Hearts, but something I heard once that I haven't really forgotten is that the Beautiful Queen confides in her raven. Even if the raven is fairly insignificant and used more like a tool for the audience to be told what is happening, I like to think that the Queen spoke to the raven regularly. Which is why I made the choice to make Vil closer to their MC.

I'll try to leave this as open-ended as possible, so I mainly chose instrumental songs with a certain vibe that reminded me of said result/MC. I try leaving it vague though.

The next phase of the damnation series, Scarabia and Pomefiore, are fully completed! As mentioned in previous posts, I will be holding off on posting these until the next follower milestone, which we are close to!

Recently I've been thinking of reblogging the previous phase one by one, and I figured I could use that as a sort of countdown so you all could have a rough idea of how close it is. Since the follower count isn't visible to followers. So, here's how I'll probably proceed:

Just like last time, I'll probably be posting on Quotev first, and after a few days, I'll post one result here, and a few more days later I'll put the next result too.

Also, if you enjoy this series, please like, reblog, or comment on the tumblr posts or the quotev quiz. These types of series take a long time to write. It's literally about 85 pages of content. For reference, the Quotev quiz was taken over 8,000 times but has 740 hearts. I use the amount of interactions and attention a piece gets to judge how well I did, if I need to improve my writing, if a series is well-received, if I need to come up with something else, etc. So please, consider it.

I LOVE THE COMPARISON OF JESSICA RABBIT AND VIL <33 it's so cute

I was wondering which one would be more of a compelling story, Vil with the detective MC (from that one piece you wrote) or Vil with someone like Roger rabbit?

I feel like the detective mc can make for wayyyy better content with drama and tension and stuff. I mean, think about it. Mc is hired to find dirt on Vil, be his demise. Normally, Vil has his own people that deal with those that try to tear him down, but after their first encounter, he's intrigued. He doesn't want to do anything with them. Instead he might tease them, let them get closer and closer to him, fooling them into thinking they have him, but in the process he falls. Hard. Soon he's instructing his own people to protect the detective that was after him. As he initiates interactions with his newly beloved behind closed doors.

Imagine mc visiting him after one of his performances, on the usual visit to gain his trust and rummage through his stuff for evidence when he's not looking. Only to stumble out of his dressing room with lipstick stains on your face and neck and wrist, clothes a bit messy, and looking quite ruffled yourself. That's when you realize how much of a shit show this has become. How are you supposed to get evidence on him now?

Vil knew you were after him since the beginning, but he just refuses to give you up now. So he'll send a little... message, to those employers of yours and invite you to a romantic dinner after his show. There's no escaping him now, you know. Not after you came after him first.

Haiii <3 I've seen your damnation au posts floating around my dashboard here and there, and I scrolled past many times by now (i had completely misunderstood the plot, not your fault, im just smooth brained) I finally caved and read it, and holy shit wow, its so good??? I took the quiz, and got the one I wanted on my first try (Pomefiore) and WOW. I then proceeded to read all of the others, and they're all great (especially the Savanaclaw one, I liked the world building you did, all of the leaps felt logical), but Pomefiore remained my favourite. I REALLY liked it, reread it several times. I wished to express how much I liked it, so for you Shiny, I bring two drawings as tribute. I bring a little meme I felt was funny, and my take on the raven retainer, because the look described was GENDER (mmm cloak and concealed sword and poison and dungeonnnnnn) Thank you for writing it, it brought much joy to me. Anyways, your take on Raven!MC is very stunning?? They're serving. Cunty (I recently learned that word from a mutual, hoped I used it right). The golden chains reminding me of a bird locked in a cage, the color scheme of the background fits so well especially considering the dorm, even the book is a great addition! And the bandages for the hand injury!! I nearly missed that! So much attention to detail. Each brushstroke looks so smooth and satisfying, I just can't explain it.

In simple words, I love your style. Give me your artistic talent.
