TGAA 2 Spoilers

Because of Kazuma.

Drawn for BaroAsoRyuu Week Day 5 Dancing. Given that I drew them dancing for last year’s shipping week, I knew that I had to draw even more dancing. This time, swapping the leads around between the pairs.

1 - Barok leading Ryunosuke in a waltz. He has a hand on Ryuu’s waist while the other gently cradles Ryuu’s free hand. They are dressed in fancy tailcoats, staring at each other in complete adoration.

I like to think this scene takes place either in a quiet corner of some garden at a ball or as a quiet moment between them after they get home from said event.  The image was roughly based off of “Der Bleue Walzer” by Ferdinand von Reznicek.

2 - Ryunosuke leading Kazuma in a simple dance, one hand on Kazuma’s back while the other is entwined with Kazuma’s. They have removed jackets and waistcoats, collars undone and sleeves rolled up. Both are smiling and laughing at each other as they gently sway.

As opposed to the grand, romantic waltz in the first image, the second is supposed to capture a quiet moment between Ryunosuke & Kazuma. I see this as them just enjoying a soft moment together in the evening, perhaps listening to a gramophone (or maybe Sholmes is playing his violin in the background).

3 - Kazuma leans forward as holds Barok in a dramatic dip, one hand secure on Barok’s waist and the other gently cradling his back. He grins down at Barok in affectionate smugness. Barok grips his shoulders tightly, staring up with wide eyes and flushed cheeks, clearly caught off-guard by Kazuma’s action (though deeply appreciating them). They are wearing their prosecutor’s outfits.

This one was loosely referenced from a stock photograph.  I like to think it’s a spontaneous moment in the middle of a boring workday.  In my mind, Barok has always wanted to be the one dipped during the dance.  But he’s resigned himself to never getting to experience that.  To which Kazuma said, “Okay, challenge accepted.”  Actually, now I’m imagining this scene taking place in the middle of Barok teaching Kazuma how to ballroom dance, right after Barok alluded to wanting to be dipped.

baroryuu = a huge ship that’s as obvious as narumitsu if wildly different ❌ incorrect

herlock/ryuu = a huge ship, of course he slept with his landlord c’mon ❌ incorrect I still don’t even know if there’s a tag for this

Some baroasoryuu sketches that I didn’t quite think fit the prompts for the ship week that’s coming up.  Perks of having an obnoxiously tall boyfriend include using his height to claim the high ground in an argument against your other boyfriend or using his size (and ominous cloak) to pretend that if you can’t see your other boyfriend, you’re not losing the argument.  (AKA Barok gets caught in the middle of two silly asoryuu arguments.)

Played around with these drawings to try to get a result that better mimicked how I draw traditionally.  Image description under the Keep Reading.
