Yeah, I really can't with the extent to which Gerit-bashing in fic warps what actually happened in canon. Gerit did, like, two minor wrongs, saying at two different times that he wanted to be exclusive with Tally. That's it. Everything else wasn't really a wrong, just a culture clash. Yes, that includes the Hilari threesome. All of that was acceptable for High Atlantic non-monogamy. It's really weird for stories to excuse all of the war crimes and go out of their way for Tally to accept and forgive Citydrop and Puppeting and Liberia (not to mention pardoning Nicte and Scylla's mass murders) and then yet find that it's the above slights that are the truly unforgivable things, and make Gerit complicit with the Camarilla and shit. Really, people, really? (With some, uh, extra-diegetic Problematic spice when you look at interviews and see how proud the actors are of those characters as rare representation for men of color as viable love interests and unconventional gender roles.)
