I was tagged by @m34gs in this post HERE! Thanks for the tag, friend! Took me a moment to figure out how to do this. Anyways, I'm done, so let's talk about this!
Tumblr media
Anime with a Favourite Opening/Ending Song:
While this was a touch choice, and almost went to Attack on Titan, I picked Jujutsu Kaisen because it's one of the rare anime when I love all the openings. If I had to pick a favourite opening it's a tie between VIVID VICE and Specialz.
Anime you recommend others watch:
Without a shadow of a doubt I recommend Anohana to everyone. It's a coming of age story centred around a difficult topic, yet there are light moments. However, it's an anime that always makes me cry, so be prepared to not just watch a coming of age story but also an emotional character dive.
Anime that shares a genre with the centre anime:
It would have been easy to pick another adventure/fantasy/sci-fi anime and call it a day, but I think I did well picking Sabikui Bisco. The anime is set in a post apocalyptic wasteland. There is awe and wonder outside of the city but also danger. Government cannot be trusted and medicine/scientific advancement is a key element to the story, which are all elements that FMA has.
Anime that shares Eng. VA with touching square:
Laura Bailey who voices Lust in FMA also voices Tohru Honda in Fruits Basket! Actually, Fruits Basket and FMA have many English VA overlaps, but Laura is the one I first thought of!
Favourite Anime of All Time:
Fullmetal Alchemist is my favourite manga of all time, so I had to go with the 2009 remake. While the 2003 anime still holds a nostalgic place in my heart, nothing compares to the manga's story to me.
From the plot, pacing, character arcs and design, and art direction I truly believe Fullmetal Alchemist is a near perfectly written and produced series from Hiromu Arakawa.
Anime that shares Japanese VA with touching square:
Paku Romi who voices Edward Elric in the Japanese version of FMA also voices Hitsugaya Toshiro in Bleach.
Shares a Similar MC Energy with centre square:
The obvious comparison is Senku and Edward are both genius scientists who did the impossible (Senku with his counting and Edward with human transmutation), however there are other traits the two share. Both have a bit of a mischievous side and both can be singularly focused on their scientific goals. Finally, both are hopeful in the face of peril and use their wits and scientific knowledge to win in the end.
Also, as an extra fun fact the English VA for Senku is Aaron Dismuke who voiced Alfonse Elric in the original 2003 FMA anime.
An Anime you read/have the manga of:
I've been reading My Hero Academia (or BNHA) for years. While I don't own it, I read it on the Shonen Jump app. It's a series I'm also enjoying the anime adaptation.
A series with your favourite ship/ship dynamic:
Soukoku (or Dazai/Chuuya from Bungou Stray Dogs) is both my favourite ship in the series and also my favourite ship dynamic.
My favourite part about Soukoku as a ship is the underlying loyalty and trust the two have in one another. Despite everything: their personality clash, their first meeting, Dazai betraying the Port Mafia, they still care for one another. In their own weird ways, yes, but care none the less. How else can the series explain the convoluted schemes in both Dead Apple and in Season 5? That's some "we're two halves of the same whole" level of trust there. They're not even being subtle.
I tag: @a-little-harmed-shinra, @someobscurereference, @shreedle, and @memoryoflife.

Can I request ushijima having a crush on tendou’s fem! Best friend? She’s small and likes to clings to tendou, but actually has a huge crush on Ushijima?? ❤️🥺
warnings - none
word count - 700
a/n - hi! this is such a cute idea. i hope you enjoy it.
PART 2
Tumblr media
His eyes followed you as you ran into the gym, leaping into Tendou's outstretched arms. Your laugh rang around the room as Tendou swung you around. Ushijima didn't think he'd ever heard such a beautiful laugh. A part of him wished that you would run to him, that you would treat him as you did Tendou.
When Tendou placed you back on the floor, you clung onto him, your small frame hanging from his arm as you chatted animatedly.
He couldn't really pinpoint the moment when he had begun to be drawn to you.
Was it when you first smiled at him? Your eyes were warm as you looked up at him from under Tendou's arm. Ushijima had only greeted you respectfully, as he usually did. but, when Tendou's hip bumped against yours, your lips had curved into a smile.
Was it that day you had come bounding into his dorm room, clearly looking for Tendou, only to stop short when you saw the empty top bunk? You had looked at him awkwardly, bowing and apologising profusely. Ushijima had just looked at you, blinking.
"It's fine," he said. He was currently working his way through one of Tendou's Shonen Jumps. "Do you want to read with me while you wait for him to get back?"
You felt the heat rise to your cheeks. "Oh. Okay. Thanks. I thought you wouldn't want me here."
"Why would you think that?" The question was blunt. He looked genuinely confused at your response, head tilting to the side.
"Well, i'm only really Tendou's friend so I didn't think you'd want me around."
"I enjoy your company." The words were simple, his tone practically emotionless, but you had heard enough about him from Tendou to know that he was honest to a fault.
Smiling softly, you moved to sit beside him on the bed, beginning to read along with him. Your body was warm where it touched his, sending little shivers of pleasure up his spine. He was ashamed to admit he missed your warmth when you'd leapt from the bed to give Tendou a hug, pulling him out of the room with you. You'd returned a little while later. This time, it was Tendou whose bed you shared.
Nevertheless, whatever occurrence had triggered these feelings within him, he couldn't deny that he wanted to be near you. He wanted you to be his.
Later that night, he found himself explaining himself to Tendou in the hope that his closest friend would be able to help him sort through his feelings. A head of bright red hair peered down at him.
"Sounds like Ushiwaka has a crush on my little best friend."
"A crush?" Ushijima mused, not really understanding what the word meant. Surely it was a bad thing.
"I mean you like her."
"I knew that already," stated Ushijima. "It's normal for friends to like each other."
"No, my dear Wakatoshi, I mean like as in you want to kiss her and be around her all the time," explained Tendou.
"Ah. That sounds right. I suppose I have a crush on l/n."
Tumblr media
You were sitting in your dorm room, reading a manga that Tendou had lent you when your phone began to buzz.
tendou: my dear y/n i do believe wakatoshi may reciprocate those feelings you hold for him
You snorted. The notion that the Ushijima could possibly like you was ridiculous.
y/n: don't be stupid. there is no way ushijima is remotely interested in me
Oh, how much you wished your words won't the truth. His passion towards the sport that was so dear to him had been what initially drew you to him. Of course, paired with his muscular body and overall good looks, it was natural for you to start falling for him. But, you were comfortable admiring him from a distance, the fear of rejection too crushing for you to even entertain the idea that Ushijima may feel anything beyond a grudging friendship for you.
tendou: what if i can prove it to you?
y/n: don't bother satori. i'm not looking to get hurt
Sighing, Tendou dropped his phone onto his mattress. He decided that he had been cursed with the most oblivious friends in the world.

Hiding Inside Yourself
Summary: After years of pretending to be someone you’re not you meet Tendou and suddenly you aren’t scared to be yourself.
Warnings: none?
Pairings: Tendou Satori x Reader
Genre: Angst, Fluff
Word Count: 3.2k
Even as a kid you never had many friends opting to keep to yourself instead. Your teachers tried to get you to interact with the other kids but you knew you wouldn’t really fit in with any of the girls in your class. While they wanted to play with dolls and put on their mothers clothes pretending to be grown up, you wanted to do different things. You didn’t really fit in with the girls who wanted to go outside and play various sports either. You just wanted to stay inside and watch cartoons or read books. You tried to make friends, it wasn’t like you had wanted to be alone but when you began talking to new people they grew tired of you upon realizing that you weren’t interested in the same things. So instead you sat on a bench reading an old comic your dad had while everyone else climbed and swung during play time outside.
You thought middle school would be different. You’d have friends despite having different interests. You could hang out with your peers after school and not just because you had a school project to do together. You were wrong. Middle school was different, but it was different for the worst. Kids grew crueler, colder, meaner. Before middle school no one talked about the weird person who kept to themselves and read old beat up comics and manga. The hushed whispers in the hall as you passed by was something you didn’t have to worry about before. Now you were insecure and scared. Never wanting to stick out more than you did you stopped reading during class. Instead keeping your head down studying when you would usually be reading what happened to interest you at the time.
Your parents were worried when you insisted that they take back their old comics and manga. They were worried when you slowly began to change everything about yourself. Changing to be something that you never were before. All because you were tired of the whispers in the hall and constant stares. They didn’t bring it up, scared you would lock yourself in your room all the time. So instead they bought you the new lip Hgloss everyone else started wearing. They bought you the new trendy school everyone was talking about. They let you cut your hair the way everyone else did, never voicing their concerns for your sudden want and need to change and be like everyone else. Now here you are about to attend your first year at Shiratorizawa Academy, looking and acting just like everyone else did. All because you were scared to be different.
Your parents had left after you had moved all of the stuff you needed into your dorms, wishing you good luck. You laughed as you told them you’d still see them on the weekends. You were up packing all of the things in your dresser and closet not wanting to claim a bed until your dorm mate got there. You went over to a box you didn’t remember packing it thinking your parents must’ve packed a box of things they thought you had missed. Upon opening it you realized it was some of your old things you had given your parents to throw out. You dug further and found a new manga you had never seen before and figured that your parents had bought it before you stopped reading it. You took it out of the box and opened it when a letter fell out.
“Y/n, we know you stopped reading these a while ago, but when we were at the bookstore last week we saw this new one that came out and thought you might like it. You don’t have to read it if you don’t want to, but we know you never really wanted to stop reading them. So take this gift as a congratulations on getting into Shiratorizawa. Love, Mom and Dad.”
You sighed as you placed it back in the box. You set the box on the top shelf in the closet when you heard someone coming into your room. “Hey, you must be Rei. I’m Y/n, your dorm mate, obviously. I wouldn’t be in here if I wasn’t” You scolded yourself on your word jumble, falling into the old habit when you were nervous.
You let out a sigh of relief as she smiled and set some of her stuff down before turning to say goodbye to her parents who were behind her. After they had left she turned to you smiling brightly, “Hello! Yes, I’m Rei, I hope we can be friends. Do you know what bunk you want? I’m partial to the bottom bunk but it doesn’t matter.” You said that that was fine and began making your bed. She handed you all of your things from the floor while you sat on top figuring everything out. As you set up your sleeping areas you both talked about things that she liked and you knew about. She talked about the latest episode of a popular show that was on and you commented on it. You didn’t care for the show but you knew other people did and watched highlights and read summaries enough to be able to talk about it like you did.
When you were done you left your room to go get something to eat. It was about two when you started but after talking for a while and finishing unpacking it was now seven. Rei had introduced you to some of her old friends from middle school and you all sat together to eat. While they talked about things they did over their break you looked around at all the new faces in the cafeteria. Everyone seemed to have people they all knew already and you were grateful that you hadn’t seen anyone from your old schools yet. No one knew you as the weird one who sat in the corner of the room by themselves reading manga, and you didn’t want them to.
As you looked around the room your eyes were drawn to a boy sitting by himself. He had bright red hair and was reading a book. You envied that he wasn’t scared to be himself. You were a coward and you knew it. Terrified of the judgemental looks people give you for being different. He didn’t seem to care as he happily read the book in his hand. You were too far away to read the book title and you forgot to put in your contacts so you definitely couldn’t read that far away. Suddenly the boy you had been observing looked up and straight at you. Great you had been caught now you do look like the weird kid. He didn’t seem to mind as he waved at you. You waved back and he went back to reading.
About a half hour later your roommate had stood up and asked if you wanted to go back to your room. You agreed and stood up to follow after her. On your way out you passed by the boy you had made eye contact with earlier and looked at the book he was reading and saw it was the new manga your parents had bought you. You sighed as you passed him, you wished you had known him when you were a kid, before you decided to change. Maybe, just maybe you wouldn’t have reinvented yourself. Maybe you wouldn’t be scared to be who you really were. But you would never know.
You had a few days before the school year started so everyone could get to know the campus and where all their classes were. You and Rei had just gotten done looking around at your classes and figuring out where you had to go the first day. Sadly you weren’t in the same class with her or any of the new people you had met. So that meant you’d have to meet new people which you weren’t looking forward to. Later that night as Rei slept you climbed down the ladder of your bunk and got down the box to get the books you had abandoned. You grabbed the newest one your parents had bought you and threw it onto your bed before climbing back up. You turned on the lights you had hung up above your bunk and grabbed your glasses to read it. After a few hours you were half way done and decided that you would finish it later. You turned off the lights and put the book under your bed and drifted off to sleep.
The next morning you woke up to get breakfast with Rei. You passed by the redhead from a few days ago and it looked like he was rereading. You forgot how much you wanted to talk about manga after reading the plot twists and the shocking deaths. You forgot how much you desperately wanted a friend who shared your love over the various shonen jumps you read. A friend who you could sit down and watch anime with. A friend who you could just be you with and not someone you’re pretending to be.
You almost stopped to sit with him to discuss the book but you couldn’t stop with Rei tugging on your wrist once she spotted her friends. You were disappointed but you were hopeful that you’d be able to speak to him soon. It’d be nice to be yourself again.
Soon the free time you guys had passed and it was time to start classes. You weaved your way through the halls to the classroom you remembered visiting with Rei when looking around the school. You were the first to arrive in the class and sat in the back corner near a window, falling into old habits. You were looking down at your phone swiping through apps to pass time when someone sat down in the seat in front of you.
“Hello! I’m Tendou Satori! Are you the person who I made eye contact with a few days ago in the cafeteria?” You looked around and realized that it was just you two in the room, he could’ve sat anywhere and instead chose the seat right in front of you. You nodded your head in response and looked back down at your phone. “Can I know your name?”
You shut off your phone and put it away in your bag and looked up at him. You quickly scanned his face and noticed that he seemed quite happy and genuine. He was also pretty cute, you wouldn’t tell him that though. “It’s L/n F/n. But you can call me Y/n.” You watched as he lit up and smiled. You were glad you were in the same class, you had a feeling you would be great friends.
Over the course of the first year you and Tendou had become good friends. You had exchanged numbers and were talking every day. You’d eat lunch with him and the volleyball team. You’d study outside when he wasn’t at practice. You slowly stopped hanging out with Rei and her friends, you and Rei still talked in your dorm but you had come to an agreement that you guys didn’t have a lot in common. You had gradually stopped acting like someone you weren’t and become yourself again. Your parents had nearly cried tears of joy when you took some of your old stuff back to the dorms one weekend.
People weren’t as mean as middle school. They didn’t care what you liked or did, didn’t care what you looked like. You were glad you met Tendou otherwise you might’ve pretended to be something you weren’t your whole life. Now here you were reading manga with your best friend under a tree after school while he was trying to convince you to be the volleyball’s team manager.
“Oh come on Y/n pleeeaaase.” He pleaded for the nth time today. You sighed and pushed up your glasses as you ignored him and continued to read. “He dramatically flopped over your legs and sighed loudly, “Why do you hate me.”
You scoffed in reply, “I don’t hate you Ten, stop being so dramatic.” You couldn’t hate him, in fact it was quite the opposite. You had a small crush on the boy but you would never tell him. He was your first real friend and you didn’t want to ruin that.
“Clearly you do, because you don’t want to come be the volleyball manager and see me everyday.” He sat up and childishly crossed his arms and looked away from you. You chuckled at his behavior and said that you would, you just don’t know anything about volleyball, or at least not enough to manage a team. He took the book and sat in down next to you so he could grab your hands, “I’ll teach you! Come on, please it’s easy! You’ll be great at it!” You thought about it for a minute before sighing and agreeing.
It was now your third year and you had just finished watching as Shiratorizawa faced Aoba Johsai during the Interhigh Tournament. As you were waiting for everyone to get back on the bus to head back to the academy. You sat in the back and thought about the best two years of your life so far. Unlike how you hoped your feelings for Tendou did not go away but instead grew. You still refused to tell him despite Rei telling you that he “1000% without a doubt in the universe” felt the same way. If he didn’t you’d be crushed, not only that but your friendship would most likely be ruined. You wouldn’t be able to look him in the eyes after that.
Your thoughts were interrupted by the man himself when he sat down next to you and offered you the right earbud to his headphones and started playing the newest episode of Sword Art Online. You weren’t really paying attention too busy with your own thoughts on if you were going to tell him or not. Somewhere along the way you must’ve fallen asleep because you woke up to Tendou lightly tapping your cheek to wake you up. You groaned as you moved off of Tendou, your head resting on his shoulder. You stretched when you stood up and moved off of the bus. You gave your best friend a thumbs up when he asked if you were still going to hang out tomorrow and made your way back to your dorm.
You both decided to hangout in Tendou’s dorm since Ushijima was out for the day. You had been there for a few hours before you worked up the courage to sit up from your position on the floor and looked at Tendou. “What would you do if I said I liked you romantically?”
You felt your heart shatter at the sound of his laughter. The sound that usually makes your heart flutter in your chest now feels like a million daggers piercing through all at once. He stopped laughing to look at you, “You’re kidding right?” You laughed and agreed to his statement.
Of course he thought you were kidding, that’s exactly what just happened in the anime that had been playing. It didn’t make it hurt any less. You stood up and gathered your things and said you needed to work on some last minute homework you had forgotten about and left as you felt tears gathering at the corners of your eyes. As you shut the door to his dorm the tears had left your eyes and quickly made their way down your face. As you turned to leave you bumped into Ushijima and apologized as you quickly made your way back to your dorm with your head down.
Upon entering your dorm you dropped your bag and slid down your door putting your head on your knees allowing yourself to cry. You didn’t expect the rejection to hurt this much, but he had been your first crush and first friend to like you for who you were and you had just lost that. You felt arms wrap around you and you glanced up to see Rei hugging you looking down at you apologetically. You hugged her back as you continued to sob. After you had finally stopped crying you felt exhausted and laid down to go to bed even though it was only six o’clock in the afternoon.
The next few weeks you had avoided Tendou. You switched seats in class, began eating with Rei again and didn’t interact with him during volleyball practice. While you were heartbroken you didn’t want to up and leave your manager duties. Of course Tendou noticed you were avoiding him, how couldn’t he. You would turn and walk in the opposite direction if he started walking towards you. You stopped sitting in your usual area after school instead opting to lie down in your dorm. He wanted to ask you about the day you had suddenly left. Ushijima had come into the dorm saying you were crying, he was concerned why you had left. He didn’t understand why, maybe a family member had passed away, but if that was the case why wouldn’t you just talk to him? Had you finally grown tired of him? He needed answers.
After nearly a month of ignoring him he had barged into your dorm when he knew your roommate was out. You had been sitting up on your bed when he came in, you looked down at him shocked. “Why the hell are you ignoring me?” He demanded to know with crossed arms as he looked up at you. You looked away and was about to deny the statement when he spoke again, “And don’t say you weren’t, we both know you clearly are. Did you get tired of me? Do you think I’m a monster too?” His voice was quiet as he asked the last question
You scrambled down the ladder as you went to protest, you didn’t think he was a monster, far from it in fact. “Of course I don’t think you’re a monster. What do you want me to say, Tendou? I told you I liked you and you laughed at my face, that tends to hurt a person. You can’t blame me for wanting to avoid you.” You looked away as you explained why you had been avoiding the redhead.
He looked at you in shock before conjuring up his thoughts, “You were serious?” You nodded as you sat on your roommates bed looking at the ground instead of at him. If he had come here to reject you twice then you were sure you were going to die of a broken heart. “I like you too!”
Upon hearing those words your head shot up, “Then why did you laugh at me?” You asked with a small voice. He may have just confessed but that didn’t make you any less wary or scared.
He sighed as he sat next to you before starting his explanation. Apparently in middle school girls would ask him out as a joke and make fun of him. Your heart broke at those words and you hugged him, “No Tendou I’m 100% serious. I really like you.”
He hugged you back and held you close, “I’m sorry for laughing at you, I didn’t mean to make you feel like that. I feel terrible that you cried because of me, I’m going to make it up to you I swear.” Maybe things would be okay after all.

Quarantine things (ft. Yamaguchi Tadashi, Tsukishima Kei, Ushijima Wakatoshi & Kita Shinsuke) | headcanon
Quarantine has been forcing me to be productive with school but I’ve been having all these spurs of ideas in my head. So I wanted to write this before I forget it, and so I can feel like I did something today before I work on more essays and hw. :)
Also, side note I’ve been doing Yoga with Adriene to help with my chronic back pain. PEOPLE! If you want start yoga during quarantine I 11/10 recommend her channel on YouTube. Stay healthy and stay safe <3
Tumblr media
Yamaguchi Tadashi
You notice how much he’s willing to try new things, now that time has freed up.
Baking croissants, juicing veggies and fruits, rummaging through the pantry to make dinner with boxed food (because he wants to make sure you both only go grocery shopping when you absolutely have to).
When it is time to go out to the public, he makes sure you both glove up, sanitize, and wear bandanas with sunglasses (at the market).
You know those Korean grandmas that wear those sleeves and visors?
Yep. You two are that couple.
“Grab the box from the inside Y/N!!” He’s sneaky like that
He’s paranoid, but he still wants to make sure you both use this time to spend quality moments together ...because he knows you’re not able to visit a lot of friends and family right now :((
Walks at the park during the most unexpected times throughout the day
You both have a dog, his name is YamYam
Tadashi uses this time to really upgrade the dog’s instagram and make him go dogstagram viral I dont know why I’m so obsessed with making Tadashi internet famous ok :(
Sleeping in all the time (morning cuddles are a must)
Don’t you think that I would forget about his terrarium. He still worships that buddy everyday! By now your days with Tadashi are filled with dog walks, healthy receipes, plants, and daylight cuddles.
Tumblr media
Tsukishima Kei
Dalonga coffee, dalonga matcha, dalonga everything with our boy Tsukishima.
Ever tried egg coffee? You protested against it at first but Tsukishima kept teasing you how great it was until you finally caved in and tried it.
It’s. The. Shit. (However you want it interpret that)
Every morning, without fail, you both sit over at the kitchen island and sip on coffee or tea. Bedhead, pjs and everything. You don’t say much, but its the quiet and peace that rises in the morning that makes you appreciate these moments with him.
Contrary to popular belief, Tsukishima is actually a hopeless romantic. So you’ll have these evenings where he makes a new playlist from Spotify and just starts grooving to the beat with you. (This is shared between you and Tsuki ONLY). Copyrights on Tsuki’s jazzy hands.
He loves seeing you move on your own and as some may think its him dreading it, he LOVES it when you drag him into dancing too.
When you watch TV show together at night, he likes to psychoanalyze the characters with you
“But what do you think of this. He’s turned into a cereal killer because of childhood trauma from his aunt feeding him much coco puffs.”
“The hell Y/N?? that doesn’t even make any sense! It’s bc he worked at the grocery store and the manager always assigned him to restock the dry cereal and oatmeal aisle.”
You read in bed separately together, but you’ll lean on each other for back support.
Stillness with Tsuki is all he’s ever asked for, all he’s ever wanted with you.
Tumblr media
Ushijima Wakatoshi
Sure, most of the time his mind is on volleyball. But when it comes down to it, the person he spends most of the time thinking about is actually you.
He’s estatic to spend time with you in quarantine! He makes sure to not break his routines though, so he’s always encouraging you to work out with him in the morning. Whether or not you’re a morning person, you also try to push yourself to exercise! So Toshi doesn’t have to run by himself, plus you’ll get fit too!
But there was this one thing Toshi never really got into, but by being with you more, he’s finally come around to it.
It’s Yoga baby.
Volleyball is an intense sport. So with all that practice and endless hours he’s dedicated, Toshi usually goes to physical therapy to work on his muscles. Since everything is closed, he started doing yoga with you to relieve some back pain :’(
He can’t thank you enough, because his posture is straighter and he doesn’t toss and turn in his sleep like he did before
Y’all I hate to break it to you but... Tendou finally got him. After all those ads on the Weekly Shonen Jump, he’s discovered Amazon Prime.
He’s looking at things on amazon and adding it to his cart!!! He never buys it though
“ Y/N, I think an air fryer is a good idea”
“What? No we have a toaster oven”
“But according to the (amazon price tracker app) it’s the lowest it’s ever been.”
The air fryer was indeed the best thing that’s ever updated in your household.
He laughs more, he smiles more, he’s just really happy to be domestic with you. Home with you is like his safe space. Because he can let his guard down and lean on you for emotional and mental support.
Tumblr media
Kita Shinsuke
This quarantine really concerns him. Not because he’s neccesarily afraid of contracting the virus, but worries about his grandma potentially getting it :(
So you both make a very, very tough decision and figured it was best that he spent his time with his grandma to nurse and take care of her until the shelter in place is lifted.
But the week before he leaves, you and Kita spent an entire two days sewing face masks and care packages for his neighbors.
He makes sure to meal prep for you some food throughout the week and even teaches you some basic recipes to get you through the month.
You and Kita both go on this massive cleaning spree where you bleach and tidy up everything.
By the end of it, there was more than enough bags of clothes to give away to a donation shop near by.
On his last days with you, he spends as much time with you doing things unrelated to the pandemic! Like DIY face masks and cutting up fruit as you both play Bananagrams together.
When he’s off to his grandma’s he makes sure to religiously facetime you before bed!
You teach his grandma how to use dog filters over the phone and sometimes you forget he meant to call to talk to you.
You somehow ended up talking to his grandma for half an hour, listening to her talk about baby Shinsuke childhood stories.
I dont know, you miss him so much. He misses you more. But you both are so understanding and supportive of each other that counting off the days doesn’t even exist anymore. You just find new things to share and talk about over the phone everyday.

Ah, yes. A question that everyone would ask at some point in their lives. As for you, that point in time was now.
You stood in front of big glass doors, gaze fastened on the store’s banner that bore the characters for “Sakanoshita Market.” The golden sun above blanketed you in warmth and tiny beads of sweat lined your forehead. You stretched each of your legs, having had just walked twenty minutes to get to the store. There was no doubt that they would become sore again when you head home. After all, your house resided uphill past Karasuno High School. Every time you went home after a trip to the store, your legs would ache but you noticed that after each trip, it became a little more bearable.
For a few weeks now, you had been dropping by Sakanoshita Store twice to three times a week and at different times of the day. It started after a night out with your friends; after a few hours of laughter and singing at the karaoke bar, you and your friends strolled down the streets of Torono, a place that you admittedly didn’t frequent unless you visited your friends. When several stomachs grumbled, the only store close enough to satisfy your group of friends’ hunger was Sakanoshita Store.
And there, you had the pleasure of briefly meeting the fake-blond owner of the store. In true disinterested-store-owner fashion, he had sat behind the counter, smoking a cigarette and flipping through pages of a Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, leaving you and your friends to your own devices. You’d browsed around the shop, periodically glancing at him until your friends were ready to pay for the steamed buns they decided on.
At the time, the only words exchanged were about the price of the steamed buns and the change. Nevertheless, the lack of communication didn’t stop you from developing an attraction to the man, and it certainly did not stop your friends from teasing you about it once you left the store and were out of earshot.
You’d scoffed and denied your friends’ teasing then, but here you were now, standing in front of the very same store so early on a weekend. You didn’t even live near the store and, in fact, there were several stores much closer to your house.
But unlike the Sakanoshita Store, they didn’t have a handsome owner who slicked his fake blond hair back with a headband.
You slid the glass door open and stepped inside the store. Immediately, cool air waved against your skin. You wiped the sweat off your forehead and smiled at the high school boys gathered and seated around the table. Those that noticed your arrival offered a polite smile while the rest scarfed down on steamed buns and bickered, earning a small chuckle from you. You had seen the boys a couple of times that you’d become a bit familiarized with them.
“Hey, keep the noise down!” the store-owner—whose name, you later found out from one of your friends who lived in the area, was Keishin Ukai (even his name sounded attractive)—yelled at the kids. Like the first time you saw him, he was reading a Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. He laid back on his chair with his feet on the counter, but upon seeing you he let his legs drop to the ground. You smiled at him and pretended to browse around the store.
Sometimes you would browse up and down the short aisles, every so often letting your eyes fall on the counter then quickly ripping your gaze away before anyone noticed. Other times you would remain at the end of an aisle, pretending to read the labels and nutrition facts of snacks while looking at Keishin Ukai from your peripheral vision. But you would always end up coming to the counter and requesting a bag of steamed buns because you couldn’t leave without getting something. Today’s routine was no different, except you had actually picked up a few essentials while you were at it.
“Would that be all for you?” Ukai asked.
“Yes, that’s all.” Your voice came out quieter than you anticipated.
“That would be ¥1,500.” You scrambled to find your wallet and handed off the money to him. “Here’s your change,” he said and handed it off to you along with your bagged items and steamed buns.
“Thank you.” You bowed and prepared to leave.
“Come again soon!” he called after you and you turned around. He was looking at you and smiling.
“Oh, y-yes,” you said, stumbling over your words. Your cheeks heat up as you hurried out of the store.
Goodness, you were hopeless.
Tumblr media
The next time you made a trip to Sakanoshita Store, the sky was starting to dim and lights around the neighborhood illuminated the streets. Like the last time, there were quite a few high school boys seated around the table, their mouths stuffed with steamed buns, and their notebooks sprawled across the surface. Unlike the last time, they seemed not to have noticed your presence as you walked inside the store. Ukai was not at his usual spot behind the counter, either. You frowned, disappointment bubbling in you as you made your way at the end of an aisle where the boys could not see you.
You began to grab a couple of snacks and drinks for your food stash at home when you overheard a conversation among the boys.
“I wonder when that person is coming back,” one of the boys pondered out loud.
“Who?” one of them asked.
“The one that keeps coming here to buy steamed buns.” Your ears perked up. Paranoia told you that the person they were talking about was you.
There was a sound of the door creaking and footsteps blending in with the boys’ chatter, but you were so out of sight that you didn’t know what was happening.
“Yo Coach!” one of the boys with a boisterous voice yelled.
“What?” You stopped moving. That was Ukai’s voice.
“I think that person has a crush on you!”
“Who?”
“The steamed bun person! I bet they come here just to see you!”
“Tanaka might be right. I was biking once and I saw that they live in another neighborhood. There are a few convenience stores around that neighborhood too and yet they come here.” You paled upon hearing them blatantly expose you.
“Looks like you have an admirer, eh coach?” one of the previous speakers teased.
“Would you keep it down!” Ukai yelled but he only received teasing in response. From your end, you could hear some of the boys scolding the others. “Hey, no noise in my store or I’m kicking you all out!”
Well, shit, you panicked and began thinking of ways to get out of the store without anyone seeing you. But the plain truth was that there was no way you could get out without being seen. You breathed in and breathed out, clutched onto the snacks that you picked, and prepared for a walk of shame to the counter.
The boys quieted down once you were in their line of sight. You avoided looking at them and instead kept your eyes down. You could feel blood rushing to your cheeks as you set down the snacks on the counter. The time seemed to go by painstakingly slow as Ukai rang up the items in the cash register. He cleared his throat and you brought out your wallet. Before he could even tell you the total price, you’d already placed a large bill on the counter.
“Right. That would be ¥2,120 and here is your change,” he said and handed the change and the bags off to you.
You squeaked out a “thank you” and raced out of the store faster than anyone could react.
Tumblr media
After that fateful visit to Sakanoshita Store, you avoided setting foot into the neighborhood. The local convenience stores around your own neighborhood had actually started seeing you more than they had in the last few weeks. All because you were too flustered and didn’t want to risk seeing your crush who apparently now knew your feelings for him.
Besides, you had become busy within the last few weeks. Days somehow felt shorter and didn’t allow you that extra hour you had dedicated to walking to and from your house and the store.
At least, that was what you allowed yourself to believe.
The sky had fallen to dusk, shrouding the neighborhood in darkness. Stars peeked at you from the sky and winked, and the moon shone bright silver, serene against the sky. Tonight, you were walking along the streets of the very neighborhood you had been avoiding, exhausted from a night out at one of your friends’ house. The streets were silent save for the chittering of bugs, but soon, a grumble from your stomach pierced the quiet scene.
You looked ahead of you. The street lights illuminated the banner of the very store they had been avoiding. The gentle glow of the lights was coaxing you to come inside the store. For a few minutes you debated whether to come in for a steamed bun or two or suck it up and go home, but your stomach answered for you.
“There’s no way I’m cooking when I get home,” you said to yourself and trudged toward the store’s entrance. When you stepped foot into the store, Ukai was once again behind the counter. He had his back to you and he seemed to be keeping himself busy with another Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. You took your eyes off him and eyed the steamed buns in the countertop food warmer.
Mustering up your courage, you walked up to the counter. “Excuse me,” you said, trying to catch the store owner’s attention. He turned his head to look at you and you swore that the store suddenly became scorching hot.
“Could I please get two steamed buns?” you said, trying not to stammer. Your cheeks and neck grew warm.
Ukai stood up effortlessly and set his magazine down. Not a few minutes later, he already had two steamed buns bagged for you to take out. “You know,” he said, “I’ve been waiting for you to show up. You mostly come at night, don’t you? I made sure the boys didn’t take all the steamed buns.”
He was making conversation with you, and not only that—he was implying that he had been thinking of you. You didn’t think it was possible for your face to grow even hotter.
“O-oh? Thank you,” you said and cleared your throat, “that’s very considerate of you.” Calm down calm down calm down.
He scratched the back of his head and handed you the bag. You looked at him. “Oh, uh, how much is my total?” you asked after a few moments.
“It’s on the house.”
“Really?” you asked, to which he nodded. “Thank you! Uh, I should get going . . . it’s getting pretty late.”
“Huh? Oh, that’s right. You don’t live nearby either.” He glanced outside before looking back at you and smiling. “Come again soon, though.”
You only returned his smile, albeit an awkward one, and walked out of the store. You made it a few steps before stopping. From what happened on your last visit, he basically already knew that you had a crush on him. Could you really keep going to the same convenience store when your feelings were so out in the open?
You turned around and started walking back to the Sakanoshita Store. Farewell, handsome store owner. This will be the last time I come here. You slid the door open a little and called out to him. “Hey, uh, about what the boys were talking about last time . . . they weren’t wrong. That’s all!” You closed the door and ran off.
“Hey, wait!” a voice called out to you as footsteps thumped against concrete. You stopped running and whipped your head towards him.
Ukai was chasing after you and easily catching up. “Man, you sure can run!” he said when he reached you.
“Wait, what about your store?” was the first thing that came out of your mouth.
He let out a laugh. “You’re worried about that? My ma’s taking care of it. It’s about time my shift ends anyway.” Once he calmed down, he turned his full attention to you. “Did you really bolt without hearing my reply?”
“Well . . . yes?”
Ukai took off his headband, ran his fingers through his hair, and put it back on. Your breath got caught in your throat for the whole duration. Ukai scratched the back of his head sheepishly. “Look, sorry about the boys, I told them not to mention it anymore.”
You bit the inside of your cheek. “Well, no one’s stopping them . . . it just so happened that I was there to hear it, so it was kind of embarrassing.”
“Yeah, it must’ve been,” he said. “To be fair, you’re not the only one embarrassed. I’d say if you didn’t come out, you would’ve found out that I feel the same way about you.”
Your heart stopped. “I’m sorry, what?”
Ukai put his hands into the pockets of his pants. You noted that he still had his store apron on. “You know, other than coaching the Karasuno volleyball team, I’ve been really looking forward to your visits. The volleyball brats caught wind of it and made it a mission to talk about you whenever they’re over at the store. Anyway, what I’m saying is that—” his cheeks reddened “—I’d like to get to know you more. If that’s alright with you, of course.”
“That’s . . . that’s more than alright!” you blurted out, not being able to help yourself.
Ukai smiled and moved closer. “Well, for starters, my name is Keishin Ukai.”
“Y/n l/n,” you replied, flustered at how close the two of you were. True, you had stood close to him before, but there was always a counter in between the two of you.
Ukai gestured at your bag of steamed buns. “Are you sure that will fill you up?”
Your stomach grumbled. He chuckled as blood rushed to your cheeks. “I’m not sure.”
“If that’s the case, I know a really good restaurant nearby.” Ukai offered you a hand. “It’s kind of last-minute but would you like to have a late dinner with me?”
You smiled at him and took his hand. “Of course! Lead the way.”

Shonen Jump + Establishes Quarterly Award to Seek Out New Manga Talent
Tumblr media
Some of the hottest manga today, like SPY x FAMILY and Kaiju No. 8, got their start on Shonen Jump +. The website serializes a long list of titles from Shonen Jump, other Shueisha publications, and many running exclusively on the site. And starting right now, they're looking for the next big talent for their website!
The Shonen Jump + Manga Award will run four times a year (once per season) as a permament fixture on the site — meaning there will always be a deadline to shoot for. They're looking for Japanese-language one-shots of any length (though the page does gently guide readers toward a list of one-shots for a general idea of their page counts), in black and white or color, submitted digitally or by post. Professional and amateur artists are welcome to apply, so long as the one-shot itself has never been published professionally and isn't entered in any other competitions. Manga previously published non-commercially on websites or social media are permitted.
Also (and importantly), artists retain the copyright to their entry, so you don't run the risk of forfeiting the right to your own work by entering. (Be sure to check the award page for further information on copyright and distribution for winning entries.)
Tumblr media
In the lead-up to the first competition, Jump+ manga artists will be sharing art of their own to cheer on entrants. Kicking things off is a piece from Tatsuya Endo of Anya Forger from SPY x FAMILY. Check out the site for this and two more, with another unlocking every day up to the end of the month.
Three winning one-shots will be chosen each season and published on the Shonen Jump+ website, as well as prizes of one million yen, 500,000 yen, and 300,000 yen for first, second, and third place. Finalists will receive 100,000 yen.
The first Shonen Jump+ Manga Award deadline is May 31, with any late entries rolling over to the next season's competition. The next three deadlines fall on August 31, 2022; November 30, 2022; and February 28, 2023.

10 Manga Recommendations for Quarantine (or any other time)
People seemed to like my previous recs, so I thought I’d do a few more while so many of you are stuck home with some free time to kill. I don’t read a lot of manga these days, and my tastes are somewhat ecclectic, but hopefully there’ll be something in here for you.
20th Century Boys - Naoki Urasawa
Tumblr media
Kenji didn’t like that a new doomsday cult had started recruiting in his neighbourhood, but he wasn’t going to do anything about it. As least until a letter from an old friend leads him to realise that the cult’s symbols and mythology are based on a children’s story. A story he and his friends made up thirty years ago. Now he must track down people he hasn’t seen since middle school as he desperately tries to remember which of his friends knew the story... and figure out which of them is leading the cult.
This isn’t just the best manga I’ve ever read, it’s one of the best stories full stop. Even if you think you hate manga, I urge you to give this a try.
Claymore - Norihiro Yagi
Tumblr media
Claire was never supposed to be a Claymore. But when Theresa of the faint smile saved her life as a child, she knew there was no other path for her. With few of the supernatural powers granted to her sisters, she struggles to survive as a monster hunter in a brutal world where death is always waiting.
This was serialised in Shounen Jump originally, and it shows in places, but mostly this is a compelling drama, with some of the most startlingly beautiful and horrible monster design in all of fantasy and scifi.
Drrr!!! - Ryohgo Narita (illustrated by Akiyo Satorigi)
Tumblr media
Nothing in Ikebukero is quite what it seems. The Russian Mafia sell the best sushi in town, demons are haunting the chatrooms, there’s a new gang on the streets, and if you’re really unlucky, you might just meet the Black Rider. They say its bike whinnies like a horse. They say it killed three men who tried to kidnap a girl. They say it has no head. They say... that it just wants to do the job and get paid like everyone else.
Drrr!!! is an experience. It blends fantasy and realism in ways I’ve very rarely seen done, and delights in subverting your expectations. Characters who appears to fit into archetypes any manga fan will recognise never turn out to be quite who you think they are, just as the story never quite goes where you expect it to.
Petshop of Horrors - Matsuri Akino
Tumblr media
Do you want a protector? A companion? A friend? A lover? A child? Whatever you need, Count D has the perfect pet for you (even if they don’t always look like animals). Just remember to read the small print, very very carefully.
While there is, sort of, an overarching plot, these books are portmanteu horror in the old style, a series of barely connected unsettling stories strung together by a shared narrator and a handful of recurring characters. Spoopy more than genuinely spooky, and occaisionally surprisingly touching, this is a great series to dip in and out of.
Death Note - Tsugumi Ohba (illustrated by Takeshi Obata)
Tumblr media
“Let's just say this: you will feel the fear and pain known only to humans who've used the notebook. And when it's your time to die, it will fall on me to write your name in my death note. Be warned any human who's used a Death Note can neither go to heaven nor hell for eternity. That's all.“
One of the very rare examples where the source material does live up to (almost all) the hype. Clever, dark, surprisingly apolitical, and just the right amount of very very cheesy.
Tokyo Ghoul - Sui Ishida
Tumblr media
Keneki Ken was an extremely ordinary guy, living an extremely ordinary life... right up until the girl he fancied tried to eat him. Now he’s part of the world of Ghouls, struggling to hold on to what’s left of his humanity as all his old moral certainties are stripped away from him. Ghouls are people, they have hopes and dreams and loves and they deserve the right to live just like anyone else. It’s just that to live, they have kill humans.
Did you want to be cool and edgy as a teenager but you never quite had the guts to do it? Congratulations, Tokyo ghoul is for you. Think of it as emergency rations for your inner Goth.
Black Cat - Kentaro Yabuki
Tumblr media
Sometimes a family is a legendary hitman on the run from his past, his mysterious boyfriend, a recovering child soldier, and the bisexual thief who keeps inviting herself into their lives.
Okay technically Train and Sven aren’t a couple. Technically. Rins is canon bi though so that’s cool. This book is a lovely little time capsule of the days when shonen manga was inexplicably full of bounty hunters with bizarre superpowers going on wacky adventures, and I love it for that. Plus it’s full of that good-good found family trope and we could all do with a bit more of that in our lives.
Beauty Pop - Kiyoko Arai
Tumblr media
Kiri Koshiba is no ordinary teenager. She has a secret, something she hides from even those closest to her. The only ones who know about her special abilities are those she rescues. You see Kiri is secretly... really good at giving haircuts.
This is a deeply silly book, full of deeply silly characters, in which hairdressing is treated with the exact same seriousness that sports animes treat basketball or tennis, and reading it just makes me smile. Sometimes when the world’s a bit shit you just want to read about an undercover hairdresser helping girls with their self confidence and giving them rad haircuts.
Bizenghast - M. Alice LeGrow
Tumblr media
Dinah Wherever is more goth than you. She’s got the wardrobe, and the doomed love, and non-specific mental health issues. Oh, and she’s enslaved to Bizenghast, cursed to spend her nights laying to rest the unquiet spirits that haunt the graveyard there and if she fails, she’ll loose her life... or something worse.
The first volume is definitely the standout in this short series, with stunning artwork and detailed world building, but all of it is a fun, creepy, surprisingly dark story, full of the author’s love for old school gothic romance.
The Wallflower - Tomoko Hayakawa
Tumblr media
Mine Nakahara is concerned that her neice Sunako is never going attract a wealthy husband with a mysterious heart condition if she doesn’t learn not to be such a shut in. So in desperation, she turns to the only obvious solution - give four well-meaning himbos rent free accomodation in exchange for them teaching Sunako to wash, wear something other than sweatpants, and talk about anything that isn’t horror movies.
Sometimes you don’t want drama, or angst, or deep plot. Sometimes it’s enough to watch four attractive and deeply stupid men try to teach the human equivilent of an angry raccoon how to walk in heels.

hi again 🥺🥺 this is for the match ups you are doing :))
appearance :: i am 5'4 and have brown hair and eyes, though my eyes are a little green with sunlight too. i can say i have a curvy body(? and i was told i have a cute and bright smile.
personality :: when i first meet someone i tend to be very shy, sometimes i even barely speak. but once i get to know someone i open myself up a little more (still, i find it very hard to open up to things that are personal or make me sad). i could say im calm, positive and patient but i tend to be jealous a lot and sensitive over not so important things. i do have a tendency to put others before me way too much which causes me to forget about myself.
hobbies :: i love to read ! i usually use my savings for buying new books or mangas :)) i also like painting and drawing but i dont know if i should count those as hobbies now bc they are very related to what im majoring in. I love playing the guitar and listening to some calming music while laying in bed.
aesthetic :: my favorite aesthetics are cottagecore and goblincore. however in my daily life i use a combination of both + a little bit of light academia <3
likes :: greek mythology, conspiracy theories, kdramas, romance and adventure books, fantasy, mushrooms 🥺, cats, guitars, picnics, inceses, meditations, study dates, libraries, watercolors and relaxing//acoustic music.
mbti + zodiac sign :: with my mbti is kinda difficult to say because i took different tests and i had two different types as results:: INFJ and INFP. i relate to both in a lot of ways but i still find myself relating to more people or characters that are INFP. my zodiac sign is virgo, my rising taurus and my moon leo.
type :: i dont know if i have a type? i would love to date someone who understands me and makes me feel loved. who's love language are words of affirmation or/and physical touch. someone who, if he does not share interests with me or preferences in dates, can adapt and be willing to learn about the things that i like. someone who will cheer me up. maybe a little dorky? i dont mind if they are not extroverted as long as we help each other to get out of our comfort zone :)) in appearance maybe just not too beefy ah 😅 lol but other than that, someone who will respect me and will make me smile
i think that is it? sorry for making it so long and thank you sooo much for taking your time to do this 🥺🥺 have a great day 💛💛💛

𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐘𝐚'𝐥𝐥 𝐌𝐞𝐭
Ok picture this...
Shonen Jump just came out with a new LIMITED EDITION magazine
These things are just disappearing off shelves
BUT
There is one. Singular. Copy in the store you are currently at
Obviously you see it
And OBVIOUSLY your gonna go get it!
However when you reach to grab it your hand touched the hand of the one and only
Tendou Satori
Both of you had a deadly tight grip on this magazine rn
Neither of you are backing down
You look him dead in the eyes
“I’m sorry sir but I do believe I touched this first”
He looked right back at you
“I’m sorry ma’am but I’m pretty sure I was the one who touched it first”
You both went back and forth bickering about who should get to have the magazine
And that’s when Tendou came out with the GENIUS idea of...
Rock. Paper. Scissors.
Simple, whoever wins gets the magazine
Thus the match began
Long story short Tendou lost 2-1
Seeing his sad face you decided to be nice and offered to read it together at the nearby park
Of course he was gonna agree this is SHONEN JUMP WERE TALKING ABOUT
So you both headed to the park to read
Honestly you busted out the entire magazine within an hour
And after you finished it you two talked about it for about another hour
And shit since you we’re both at the park, why not have a little fun
You guys spent the rest of the day messing around on the playground
You know... harassing kids and shit
And when it was time to go home you both agreed to meet back up next week to discuss more manga
This became sort of a routine for you two
Every Friday you guys would meet up somewhere and talk about or read some manga
And then afterwards you two would go find something fun to do
And over time he started having feelings for you
But poor boy was to scared to tell you
But lucky for him, you also grew to have feelings for him
So YOU where actually the one to confess :D
And he obviously said yes :)
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐘𝐨𝐮
Omg cheesy moment real quick
He loves your smile
Absolutely fricken adores it
Like he will do ANYTHING to see you smile
He loves how positive you can be!
Sometimes Tendou can get a little down on himself
But you can always pick him back up and get him smiling again!!
And he gladly does the same for you :)
Honesty
He likes the fact that you get a little jealous 👀
To him it just shows that you care a lot about him
Annnnd last one
He loves the fact that you enjoy manga as well :D
Because you both have something to do together that you both enjoy!
𝐅𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐓𝐨 𝐃𝐨 𝐓𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫
Ok so he obviously likes reading manga with you
HOWEVER
One of his favorite things to do with you is
🥁 🥁 🥁
Exploring mythology with you!!
Honestly tendous kinda into that witchy type of aesthetic
So mythology, crystals, spirits, he’s ALL for it
One time he even invited you ghost hunting ❤️
Fun times
But I’m pretty sure y’all have a ghost tied to you 😀
𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐦 𝐇𝐜
Tendou loves taking you to haunted places!
He genuinely thinks he can talk to ghosts...
He always links your conspiracy theories to paranormal activity
He loves to meditate with you
Especially before a game 😁
He says it “grounds” him
Ever since y’all met you take turns buying weekly shonen jump magazines and snacks
Ok Tendou likes painting
But he ALWAYS makes a mess
Why?
Because he specifically likes FINGER painting 🥲

When Taurus and Virgo come together in a love affair, it’s a union of innate practicality.
Both of these Signs employ practicality in their daily lives as the most efficient means to most problems.
They can be quite sincere and devoted to one another; as people, both have a great deal of integrity.
Virgo likes Taurus’s strength and dedication while Taurus appreciates Virgo’s quick mind.
Due to Virgo’s naturally cautious nature, this relationship can take awhile to develop, but once it’s established that both partners are in it for the long haul, it’s like a runaway locomotive, running on its own power and difficult to stop.
These two Signs have much in common: They highly value common sense and practicality; they’re both materialistic but work hard for the creature comforts they so enjoy.
Taurus is more sensual and indulgent than Virgo is; Virgo tends to be the inhibitive force in the relationship, tending not to get involved in the chaos of life in favor of analyzing all available options.
Virgo’s analysis leads to criticism, which Taurus can tend to take too seriously. Conversely, Taurus’s stubborn nature can get on Virgo’s nerves, causing Virgo to criticize even more!
This pair must take care not to take one another too seriously.
The good thing is, they’re similar enough that they can learn to be patient with one another, especially Virgo, who loves to indulge Taurus’s penchant for fine treatment and good food.
Their dedication to working toward the same goals.
Both partners enjoy luxury and nice things, and Virgo likes helping Taurus achieve their goals.
Their common interests and desires make theirs a highly compatible relationship.

Scene Out of Hallmark
Tumblr media
Keiji Akaashi x Fem!Reader
Summary: Travelling during the holidays is extremely difficult between people working and getting home in time to be with family friends. It’s another story however when you end up getting snowed in at an airport with an insanely gorgeous man.
Warnings/Contains: Fluff, slow burn(?), reader has an iPhone and airpods (sorry to samsung/android users lol).
Word Count: 2635
“Attention passengers, we are terribly sorry to announce, but all flights this evening have been delayed until further notice due to weather. For more information about your personal flight and when it will likely be rebooked, please see the attendants at your gate. Thank you.”
“Are you kidding?”
Keiji sighed as he looked at his phone, checking the time; 19:28. His flight was scheduled for 20:45, but now he was stuck at the airport for god knew how long. It was December 22nd, no doubt one of the busiest travel days of the holiday season much less of the year. He was trying to fly back home to Tokyo to see his friends and family for the holidays, but now he was worried that his plans might be foiled depending on how long the weather decided to last.
He looked around the gate for his flight, seeing some people staying in their seats while others left the area, most likely to get food or check on their flight for when a possible reschedule would be. Knowing that he couldn’t leave the airport since he had luggage on the plane, Keiji leaned back in his seat to try and relax. Yes, he was upset that he wouldn’t get to be home as soon as he liked, but he couldn’t do anything about it now.
About an hour later, Keiji sighed as his phone notified him that it was low on battery. He reached into his bag to pull out his phone charger, but felt his heart drop when he didn’t feel the wire where he usually kept it. He tried to think back to where he might have put it, only to realize that he packed it in his suitcase along with the gifts he had bought for his family and friends.
Keiji sighed, annoyed with himself and the fact that he’d most likely have to buy an overpriced one from the airport; he looked up from his bag after he set it back down by his feet, only to see a girl in the row of seats across from him who appeared to be around his age staring right back at him.
Two hours earlier
“Attention passengers, we are terribly sorry to announce, but all flights this evening have been delayed until further notice due to weather. For more information about your personal flight and when it will likely be rebooked, please see the attendants at your gate. Thank you.”
“Are you serious? I just checked my luggage, too!”
(Y/N) groaned as she stopped walking towards her gate. She pulled out her phone, opening up her contacts before clicking on one while walking off to the side to avoid being in someone’s way. She adjusted the airpods in her ears before pocketing her phone as she called the person pulled up on her phone. She leaned back against the wall and set her carry-on bag down, watching people walk to and from the gates in the long stretch of hallway as she waited for the person to answer. Sadly, she heard the automatic voicemail begin to play, making (Y/N) shake her head before leaving one.
“Hey, it’s me. I’m sorry, but all the flights in the airport have been delayed due to the snow storm that’s coming in. I know that I need to meet with the publisher on the 24th, but I’m not sure I can make it if they don’t reschedule the flights in time.” She sighed, moving her hair out of her face. “I’ll let you know when I get told of when my flight will be. If they end up needing to reschedule the meeting, please inform me. I don’t want a repeat of last time.”
(Y/N) paused as she briefly thought back to her last meeting with a publishing company where they had to reschedule her, but she wasn’t told of it by her friend that was helping her try and get her name out there by scheduling such appointments for her. Of course, she didn’t want to think about that possibly happening again.
“Anyway, I’m going to stay at the airport in the meantime; again, I’ll keep you updated. Bye.” (Y/N) took her phone out of her pocket, ending the voicemail and hoping that her friend would receive it soon and inform her of any changes.
“Alright,” she grabbed her carry-on bag, “now where’s gate B7?”
An hour later, (Y/N) made it to her gate after accidentally going to the wrong side of the airport. She sighed as she sat down, relieved to at least be at the right gate. She took note of how empty the area seemed, figuring that some people had decided to try and check into one of the hotels near the airport if they didn’t have any luggage to check or wanted to get some food and were waiting in one of the long lines she had passed while walking through the airport.
(Y/N) didn’t bother thinking about it longer than she had to, simply taking out her airpods so they could charge and pulling out a book from her carry-on bag to read. Her thoughts immediately changed from trying to figure out what was going to happen next in the book however when she heard someone sigh. Out of instinct, she glanced up at the sound to see a fairly attractive man sitting across from her, who was also, now, looking at her.
The two locked eyes for a moment before Keiji coughed to break the silence. “Sorry to bother you, but do you have an iPhone charger I could borrow by any chance?”
(Y/N) opened her mouth, hesitating for a moment before actually saying anything to him. “Yeah, o-of course.” She smiled sincerely, mentally screaming at herself to ‘get it together’ and just ‘be nice to the guy’ as she rummaged through her bag to grab her phone charger. She couldn’t deny that he was crazy attractive, and appeared to be booked for the same flight as hers, but he was just a guy, and a complete stranger at that. However, she was most likely never going to see this man again, so why not try and shoot her shot?
She handed him the charger, meeting his gaze once again. “Here.”
“Thank you.” Keiji smiled back at her, appreciative of the fact that she was nice enough to let him borrow it. He plugged the cell block into the outlet under his seat before plugging the other end into his phone, letting out a small sigh of relief as he saw his screen light up saying that it was currently at 17% and charging.
“So,” (Y/N) zipped up her bag, “were you flying to Tokyo, too?”
Keiji looked back at the girl, part of him shocked that she continued their conversation while the other part of him was a little relieved that he didn’t have to force any small talk between the two of them. He nodded at her question before answering.
“Yeah, I was. I had friends and family to see.” He smiled to himself at the thought of Tetsurou messing with him for ‘being late’ and/or making him and Kenma ‘deal with Koutarou’ for longer than planned, even though he knew that they all cared for each other dearly. He looked back up at her, holding his hands in his lap and playing with his fingers out of habit. “I can only assume you’re doing the same?”
(Y/N) let out a laugh, shaking her head. “No, sadly,” she smiled, “I’m stuck with the cliche work on Christmas Eve.”
“Oh, I’m sorry to hear.”
“It’s alright, it’s not that important. I just hope they reschedule if I can’t make it in time.” (Y/N) glanced down at her phone screen as she felt it vibrate, only to see a notification saying that the snow storm that was passing through the area would be lasting nearly all night. She frowned, hoping to see a message from either her friend or the publisher, but luck appeared to not be on her side.
Keiji nodded, understanding how she felt as he’d had his fair share of work related meetings in which he’d encounter issues with. His eyes widened slightly as he was brought back into the conversation as she spoke up again.
“Oh, sorry,” (Y/N) laughed softly, shaking her head. “I’m (Y/N) by the way.”
“Keiji,” he smiled. “Nice to meet you.”
“You as well.” (Y/N) reached her arms up and behind her, stretching them for a moment before bringing them back down to rest in her lap. “It looks like we’re going to be here for awhile.” She looked out the stretch of windows that showed the runways along with some of the planes by a couple gates both nearby and at other parts of the airport. It was dark out, but the lights and the snow falling heavily gave the outside enough light for everything to be seen easier.
Keiji looked out the window as well, taking a moment to enjoy the sight. He may not have been home, but falling snow was one of his favorite things ever since he was a kid. For a moment, he had even forgotten that his flight got delayed and may not get to fly home for another day or two.
“What’cha wanna do?”
Once again, (Y/N) pulled him out of his thoughts.
She was smiling, as though she was waiting for him to be confused or weirded out by her words and not take offense to it. Keiji simply stared at her, not sure how to answer her question.
“Pardon?”
(Y/N) closed her book and shrugged, glancing to the side and watching a couple people walk by their gate. “I mean, we have nothing else better to do than wait for our flight.”
“Then what do you suppose we do?”
“Um,” (Y/N) thought for a moment, her leg bouncing up and down. “It’s a bit cliche, but how about 20 questions?”
Keiji stared at her for a moment, almost making (Y/N) worried that she had weirded him out by being so outgoing towards a stranger. What she did know though was that he had been in much crazier if not weirder conversations with his friends from high school; so, why not humor her?
“Sure,” he smiled, crossing his legs and his arms as he leaned back in his seat. “Why don’t you start?”
(Y/N) felt her stomach flip at the look Keiji was giving her, making her smile shyly and glance to the side once again. She tried to ignore the slight heat in her cheeks as she came up with a question. “Alright, uh, what do you do for a living?”
“I’m an editor for Shonen Jump.”
“Really? That’s so cool.”
Keiji sighed and adjusted his glasses. “I guess. I’m hoping to work more in the literature side of things soon.” (Y/N) nodded, understanding; she probably would prefer to be editing in that genre as well. “Anyway, um,” he looked down at the floor trying to come up with a question. “What kind of work are you travelling for?”
“Actually, I’m trying to get my first book published, so I was going to meet with the company.”
“Which one?”
“Wandering Works Publishing.”
Keiji smiled, as if he knew the company personally. “That one is pretty reputable. How did you get a meeting with them?”
(Y/N) held back a sigh, instead letting out a long breath while she spoke. “My friend has been trying to help me get the book published, so she’s the one who’s scheduled everything.” She glanced back out the window, watching the snowfall before looking back at Keiji. “Anyway, why did you choose to go into the same field?” She chuckled to herself.
Keiji shrugged, dropping his hands to rest in his lap; out of habit, he began to play with his fingers. “I always liked literature and analyzing complicated texts in high school; so I thought why not try and help in the process of making more of them.”
(Y/N) smiled at his reasoning. “What high school did you go to?” “I believe it’s my turn to ask a question, darling.” Keiji chuckled softly, his smile nearing a smirk as he looked up at (Y/N).
The two continued to ask questions back and forth, eventually forgetting about the game that (Y/N) originally suggested. Keiji learned how the book she was trying to get published was the first of a three part series she had been writing since high school and had been in the process of publishing for almost a year now. Meanwhile (Y/N) learned how Keiji used to play volleyball in high school on one of the best teams in the country, and that one of the friends he was visiting was now a professional player.
Time seemed to pass so quickly that neither of them seemed to notice how quiet the rest of the airport had become. (Y/N) had even moved to sit next to him so that they could talk to one another better.
While Keiji read over the first chapter of her book on her laptop, (Y/N) looked back out the window to see how the planes and runways were holding up due to the snow storm. Her eyes widened at the site. “Wow, it’s really coming down,” Keiji glanced over at (Y/N) before looking out the window as well, also shocked at how much snow that had fallen in the past couple of hours. “Hopefully it stops so we can get on our flight sooner.” He looked back at (Y/N)’s laptop, looking in the corner to read the time, 23:13. “They haven’t given us any update on it in the last two hours, either.”
(Y/N) leaned back in her seat. “I doubt it’ll be anytime soon with the amount that’s already on the ground.” She yawned, frowning and starting to get more worried since she was most likely not going to make her meeting.
After a moment of silence, Keiji spoke up to break the silence, as though he could sense her worry and uneasiness. “The first chapter is good by the way. I hope you get it published soon so I can get a first edition copy.” He smiled and handed back her laptop.
(Y/N) smiled, unable to stop the blush on her cheeks as she heard his compliment. “Thank you, that means a lot to me.” She closed her laptop and began putting it back in her bag. “Maybe I can give you the honor of owning a signed copy.”
“I would like that.” Keiji smiled at her, taking in her appearance while she wasn’t looking at him. He couldn’t deny that she was beautiful, and a great conversationalist, but he wasn’t sure if making a move out of nowhere would be the best idea given the fact that he couldn’t really evade her if things went south.
(Y/N) looked back at him after closing her bag, staring right back at the man beside her. Neither said anything for a few moments before clearing her throat and looking away, although it was evident that she was smiling to herself, or Keiji might even say she was flustered. So, he decided, why not go for it?
“Listen, um,” he glanced down at his hands as he began playing with his fingers again before looking back up at (Y/N). “Since we’re likely going to be here awhile, would you maybe like to get a coffee or something?”
(Y/N) met his gaze once again, obviously taking in his words before smiling wide; she nodded. “I would like that.”

Obligation (Tendou x Reader)
I seriously didn’t think I would be back writing a brand new story already (I can feel the looks of betrayal from the 6 other fics I was writing previously.). It’s been like a day since I finished Breathing Lilies, but here I am with a great need to get this story out of my brain. So please enjoy yet another Tendou centric fic.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Title: Obligation
Pairing: Mafia AU Tendou x F!Reader
Characters: Includes characters from both Shiratorizawa and Seijoh/Some OC background characters
Includes: Swearing, Mentions of Guns/Knives and Violence
Status: Complete
Word Count: 1.8k

-----------------------------------------------------------
"Is this really necessary?" You mumble out in irritation.
"Watch your tone." Kimura warned, emphasized by the look he directed at you. He’d been taking care of you since you were twelve, playing both guardian and bodyguard when the need arose. Your parents had been special to the family and when they had both been taken out during a job, you were left to Kimura to look after. Over the years, you had tried to weasel your way into some kind of work within the family, anything would have done. You'd have been happy even just guarding a door but that meant you'd need a gun and Kimura had made it clear you weren't permitted to even hold a gun, let alone learn to use one. You'd even tried to get in on the boring office work but for whatever reason any and all attempts were thwarted and thus you were left to your own devices within the confines of the house.
With a sigh you force yourself to sit upright in the chair. You had been slouching like a moody teenager and he deserved more respect than that.
"I apologize, Sensei. Please continue."
The older man let out a sigh before continuing. It's not like he was a big fan of this idea either but they needed to ensure the relationship with the Shiratorizawa group remained intact and this seemed to be the preferred method the rest of the family had agreed upon.
"It's going to take place in about a month but they want you to go stay with them before-hand so you can get to know him and get familiar with how they do things."
You chew thoughtfully at the inside of your lip as you ponder this new development. It wasn't uncommon to arrange a marriage between families to secure a new alliance or to further strengthen an old one. Now, it was your turn. For years you had complained about not being able to do something for the family that had continued to take care of you in the absence of your parents but, now that your time had come, you couldn't help but feel a little hesitant. Marrying someone you had never met wasn't your idea of romance but that didn't matter. You nod a little bit as you steel yourself, mentally preparing as you come to terms with the decision that had been made on your behalf.
"Do, do you know who it is?" Kimura nods at your question, crossing his arms as he takes a few paces across the room.
"Tendou Satori." That name, it sounded so familiar but you couldn't quite seem to bring up his image in your mind.
"You actually met him once a few years ago."
"Oh?"
"Mhm. He helped tie-up some loose ends in connection to the gang who..." He faltered for a moment, even though it had been so many years, he could still see the sadness in your eyes over the loss of your parents. It had taken several years to track down and wipe out every single rat that had had a hand in your parent's death. The family had lost a number of valuable people that day, and they made sure everyone involved paid for it dearly. You glanced up and over at him, already knowing the words before he said it, and with that brought a vision of crimson hair.
"Oh." You nodded and your sensei understood you knew the person he was referencing.
"I'm sorry. I know he's not the nicest looking person. Red hair and eyes like a demon and a personality to match."
To that you said nothing. That was not the person you remembered. In your memories you saw a smile with kind eyes to match and the loveliest red hair. Honestly, even after all these years, he was still the most beautiful person you had ever seen. Tendou had only stayed at this house for a short time but each day the two of you managed to find one another. Maybe you unconscientiously sought him out, maybe he did the same, or maybe it was just fate or a coincidence. Talking with him had been a treat and you sorely missed him when he'd finally had to return home.
"When am I expected?"
"Tomorrow."
With a nod, you offer the older man a bow before leaving. He watched you leave and let out a little sigh before retrieving his phone.
"It's me. Yea. She's gone to pack. Hm? No she understands." He listened to the voice on the other end of the phone, pacing across the room to stare out the window. You had taken this so casually that it made him a little nervous. Not that you were the type to argue but he was so sure as soon as he’d told you who it was you were being forced to marry you would at least try talk to him into getting you out of it. Instead, you were on your way to your room to pack. He was less that excited to know you were going to be married to the monster of the Shiratorizawa group. Tendou was good at what he did, it was absurd how good he was actually. Kimura had seen the aftermath of the red-head's work and it had left even a veteran like him feeling uneasy. Now he had to send you off into that creatures clutches tomorrow and there was a good chance he might never see your precious face again. There was nothing to be done for it though, in the end you had a purpose to fulfill and he would make sure you got there. After that it was up to you to decide how you would handle the rest.

.
Presently, you found yourself standing in a rather large vestibule, your luggage sitting off to the side. As your eyes roam the room, you find yourself nervously toying with the hem of your shirt. An assortment of emotions plagued you as you stood waiting. You were scared, you'd had zero interactions with the people in this house and had no idea what to expect. You felt sad, you'd had less than 24 hours to say goodbye to everyone who had been a part of your life until this point. However, mixed into the sadness and the fear of the unknown, was excitement. You were genuinely looking forward to seeing Tendou once again. There was sure to be a bit of awkwardness, you were, for lack of a better term, being forced to marry each other. You wondered if he would even remember you. It had been a few years since then and it was such a short time, you couldn't imagine you had made any kind of real impression on him.
That's where you were wrong. Satori, like you, didn't remember your name right away but when reminded of that job a few years ago, your pretty face came rushing back to him. That had been the happiest series of weeks he could recall in a long time. Everyday the two of you would inevitable run into each other and spend the following minutes..sometimes hours...chatting and joking. The sound of your laugh had become his favorite song for those few weeks and he'd have given anything to hear it once more. So, when the time came for him to leave, his only qualm was that he'd had to leave you behind. At first when he'd been told they were marrying him off to a perfect stranger, he'd been ready to spill blood. His tune changed completely when they'd told him it was you. He was so thoroughly happy, for a little while anyway. Sure you hadn't know each other for long but at least you had met and every memory of you was bliss. He felt like the luckiest guy in the world but he could only imagine how you were feeling right now. The prospect of being forced to marry him, it must have been so terrifying.
Tendou was all to familiar with what people said about him, he'd used those rumors to his advantage. They helped him built up a fairly fearsome persona, though it wasn't all bullshit. He really, truly, was a terrifying being to behold when it came to completing his work. He wasn't afraid to get his hands dirty, dripping with someone else's blood. But that wasn't all there was to him, he was still just a person, just a human being. He loved to laugh and share jokes, though they went fairly unappreciated around here. He happily devoured Shonen Jump each week, the shelves in his room practically sagged with the weight of the collected issues. He was the demon, the monster, of the Shiratorizawa Group, but he was still just a human and part of him desperately wanted to feel something akin to love. Even so, he knew there was no way someone as wonderful as you, someone so charming, so beautiful inside and out, could really truly fall for a beast like him. He knew you would do your duty and you would do it well but that's all it was, a duty, a job, a burden.
So with a sigh, he made his way through the house to collect you. He wore black from top to bottom, the only pop of color on his entire person was his dazzling red hair. You had to grit your teeth to refrain from gasping when he entered the room. He cut an impressive figure, leaning casually against the door frame, his calculating red eyes on you. You remembered he was handsome, but had he always been THAT good looking. It wasn't fair. Suddenly you felt very plain and underdressed in comparison to him. The knee-length jacket he wore on top of his outfit fluttered behind him as he crossed the threshold into the vestibule.
"It's been awhile, Y/N." He offered up a grin as he drew closer to you. Had you always been this pretty? The expression on his face did little to betray the thoughts racing around his mind as he took in your appearance. His memory of you couldn't compare to the vision before him now. You were looking up at him with wide eyes but he couldn't tell if it was in fear or awe. Though, assuming it was the former he let the grin on his lips fade until his mouth was pressed into a line.
"It's nice to see you again, Tendou." You smiled up at him, truly happy to see him again and feeling somehow lucky. Honestly, arranged marriages often ended up in extremely unfortunate pairings. Somehow you had hit the jackpot.
He hummed in response, the negative thoughts prickling in his mind wouldn't allow him a moment to just consider perhaps you meant it. Instead he noted how well you were already performing under this obligation. He hefted your two suitcases up and started back towards the door he came in.
"Wait! Let me help you with those." He glanced over his shoulder, a smirk on his lips.
"Don't worry your pretty little head. It's the least I can do as your future husband."

Last Minute Valentines
Tendou Satori
Pairing: tendou/reader
Word Count: 1.3k
+ summary: it’s Valentine’s Day and Satori forgot to get you a gift
Genre: Fluff
Tumblr media
"Tendou what did you get Y/n for Valentine's Day?" Wakatoshi asked the red-headed middle blocker while eating lunch. "I didn't get her anything. Should I have? She's not really a girly-girl I didn't think she would be into that sort of stuff." Tendou responded. "Tendou that's stupid," Goshiki commented while stuffing his face. "Yeah whether Y/n is a girly-girl or not she is still a girl. Plus Y/n has to put up with your annoying ass you should at least get her something." Semi said. "You're right. I gotta go." Tendou said running off from the table. Reon looked at Wakatoshi questionably, "Why did you ask Tendou that question Waka?" "I knew he didn't get her anything and she planned a nice dinner for him."
"Hey Y/n!" You looked outside your classroom and saw Satori in the hallway waving at you to come out. You asked to be excused and walked out into the hallway. "Is everything ok Satori?" "Uh yeah...I was just wondering if we are doing anything tonight?" "Satori you could have just texted me." You giggled at him. "I also wanted to see my beautiful girlfriend." He smiled and started to smother you in a hug. "Satori I can't breathe." He was laughing and pulled away. "I'm sorry beautiful. But are we doing anything tonight? I need to know so I can sneak away from volleyball practice." "Yeah, right you can sneak away." "I'm stealthy like a ninja." He said. "Sure you are Sweetie. Yes, we are having dinner tonight it is Valentine's Day." You smiled. "Oh yeah, right I forgot." He laughed nervously while looking at you to gauge your reaction. "That's...ok Satori. Just come to my dorm around 6:00." You leaned up and he bent down a little bit and kissed his cheek. "I'll see you later Satori." As soon as you walked away his smile faded, "I'm so screwed."
You weren't mad or even upset with Tendou for forgetting Valentine's Day. To be honest it didn't surprise you. It was just in his character to forget a holiday like Valentine's Day. It's not like he forgot your birthday or Christmas. Valentine's Day didn't matter to you because it was one of those holidays that felt like it was made by the greeting cards people. You just wanted to do a small thing with Satori like a real couple. "Where did you go?" Yuna your best friend asked. "Uh, Tendou wanted to talk to me." "Oooh." She smirked. "How is the Guess Monster?" "Same as always. Incredibly weird just the way I like him. He forgot today's Valentine's Day." "Oh no. So that means he forgot to get you a present." "It's whatever it's not a big deal. As long as I can spend some time with him tonight that is what matters." You smiled at the girl. "You are seriously the best girlfriend. Damn if I were a guy..." "You are so weird sometimes. Weirder than Tendou." The two of you laughed.
Tendou was able to convince Semi to cover for him for practice to the coach. He promised Wakatoshi that he would practice harder during the weekend. He left campus and went to a flower shop and a convenience store. "Gift for Y/n...gift...a gift for the love of my life." He whispered to himself. "Hey, kid." The florist said to him. "What are you looking for?" "Something that says I love you so much. That you are perfect and amazing. And I'm sorry I forgot Valentine's Day. Got any roses?" "Sadly son we ran out of those today. A lot of people forgot that today is Valentine's Day." The man laughed. "You know red tulips represent true love and purple represent royalty." "Oh yes, those will do." Tendou smiled. The florist made a small pretty arrangement. He then went to the convenience store. He was able to find a giant box of chocolates and found a teddy bear that smelled like chocolate too. He was happy with his purchases and hope that you would love them too.
You had cleaned up your room and decorated it a little bit with some fairy lights. You ordered take out from Tendou's favorite place and made his favorite homemade chocolate ice cream. You also had a pretty great gift as well for him. You dressed nicely even though it was a night in date. You planned to wear the sweater he got you for Christmas and a pair of jeans. You waited patiently for him to open the door and announce himself like he usually does. But this time you heard really loud knocking. "Hi, baby!" He cheered with 4 presents in hand. "Satori what's all this?" "Well my dear, this is our first Valentine's together and I wanted to make it really cheesy. So a heart-shaped box filled with chocolates. A chocolate smelling bear. But they were out of roses, so I got you tulips. Because I love your two lips." He smirked tapping your lips before diving in and giving a long kiss. "Also red tulips mean true love and purple represent royalty. Which is both how I feel about you and you truest are my ones and only queen." "You are so corny. But I love you anyway and this is above and beyond. It's so sweet. But what's in the box?" "Nuh-uh ah. Not until after we have dinner." You took his hand and sat down on the blanket you laid out with two table tops with food on them with your laptop out. Set to watch an animal documentary series you and Tendou started last weekend.
After dinner, you pulled out the ice cream. "Now it's homemade ice cream. I don't know if it's going to be any good." "Nonsense you made it with love in mind so it will taste great." He took a spoon and made a weird face. Your heart sank a little thinking you messed up one of his gifts. "I'm just kidding with you. It tasted really good. You should have seen your face. I just wanted to kiss it all over to make you stop pouting." "Tendou Satori that was really mean. I don't know if you deserve your next present." You turned away from him. "Oh, Baby come on I was only playing." "Ok fine. I really like this present I got you. So my dad knows this guy that works for drum roll please..." Tendou started tapping his lap. "At Shonen Jump. So I talked to him and he gave us a pass to come in and we can get a tour of the place where they make them." Tendou was speechless. He didn't know what to say or how to react. "I know it might sound boring-" "Boring no! Y/n this is like the best gift ever. You are the only person I can really talk about Shonen with. You are so awesome. It makes my last present fail in comparison to what this means to me." "I'll be the judge of that." He handed you the box. You unwrapped it to reveal his volleyball sweatshirt. "It's my back up jacket but I wanted you to have it to wear to the games so everyone knows that you're mine and you look really cute in it as well." He smiled happily and had a little bit of blush on his cheeks. When he opened his eyes from smiling he looked down at you and saw little tears in your eyes. "Did I upset-" You tackled him to the ground and kissed his face all over. "It's perfect Satori! I love you." "I love you too, Y/n." "Best Valentine's Day ever." You sighed as he held you.

On your 18th birthday, control of your life got placed in the hands of your soulmate. To gain back control and to meet the one fate had deemed your ‘perfect match’, you must find your soulmate, using the choices you make for each other to guide you together.
warning - swearing
word count - 1.7k
There was one thing you knew for certain. Whoever your soulmate was, he was a little shit. Whenever you were forced to make a choice, be it a trivial matter or an important one, your soulmate was guaranteed to pick the one that would ultimately fuck you over. Since you turned 18, you were never on time to class, made a point of embarrassing your friends in public due to the stupid stunts you were forced to pull, and were depressing to be around. Truth be told, it was rare to see a genuine smile grace your features these days.
The week before you met your soulmate had started off in one of the worst ways possible, with a purchase of bright red hair dye. After watching a tiktoker dye their hair for a dare, you had begun to ponder what you would look like with a different hair colour. Then, against your better judgement, you had begun to picture yourself with different hair colours, could feel yourself being tempted to dye it. If you had been in control of your choices, you would have quickly discarded the thought of dying your hair, let along dying it any of the ridiculous colours you were picturing. You supposed you had to thank whoever it was for not choosing the neon green.
But, bright red wasn’t much better.
When you walked through the halls of Karasuno, you attracted the stares of pretty much everyone you walked past. You could feel their eyes on you. You could clearly see the way people would lean into each other as they whispered about your appearance. You weren’t stupid. Out of everyone, you were the most aware of how awfully this colour clashed with your skin tone. It made you cringe whenever you looked in the mirror.
At lunch, Sugawara could hardly look at you without snickering. He’d already used most of his witty comments over text the previous night when you had sent an image to the group chat along with the words ‘fuck my life’. Daichi wasn’t much better, taking every opportunity to tease you. Meanwhile, you would sometimes catch Asahi just staring at your vibrant locks. It was after one of those stares that you snapped.
“Take a picture if you’re that mystified by it,” you spat, fingers clenching around your chopsticks as you stabbed a piece of meat. He blushed, looking back down at his food. This interaction just made Sugawara chuckle more, snorting as he took a sip of his drink. Kiyoko, who had been noticeably absent from the teasing, placed a calming hand on your shoulder, shooting Sugawara a stern glare.
“It really doesn’t look that bad,” she reassured, her glance around the table indication that she was daring one of them to disagree. “Besides, at least this will make it easier for you to find your soulmate.”
“Oh yeah, can’t wait to meet the asshole whose made my life a living hell since my birthday,” you replied, sarcasm heavy in your tone.
Truth be told, your only motivation for meeting them was to end this hell that you were currently experiencing. Once you had met your soulmate, they stopped being able to make your choices for you. Already, you were missing the freedom of being in charge of your own life.
The next few days weren’t much better.
On Tuesday, you were forced to run through the heavy downpour to school, using only your flimsy bag as an umbrella due to your soulmate’s interference. If you fell deathly ill, it would be all their fault as they even prevented you from sharing Kiyoko’s umbrella on the walk back home, which had been your main reason for staying behind to help out with volleyball practice.
On Wednesday, due to your soulmate deciding that sleeping during class was perfectly acceptable, you missed a large chunk of the English lesson. This meant you had to beg your classmates to lend you their notes, and also put you in a terrible mood when you went to meet up with your friends. In retaliation, you prevented your soulmate from purchasing the next Shonen Jump, something you knew they were obsessed with as the choice occurred frequently. You also forced them to pay attention during class for a change, which you were sure would leave them exhausted as you had made sure they stayed up late the previous night.
On Thursday, you were indeed suffering from a cold. Though your soulmate had the heart to allow you access to medicine, you still had to make your way to school, head pounding and a stuffed nose to boot. You spent the morning huddled in your coat with a face mask on to stop others from catching it too. When your teacher said you could go home at lunch time, you almost let out a cheer.
Friday was unusually calm. You had recovered from your cold. Each choice your soulmate chose lacked their usual malice. The day was almost reminiscent of those before you had turned 18 until you received a message from Kiyoko asking if you were coming to the watch the final of the Spring Interhigh Qualifiers. Karasuno would be playing Shiratorizawa.
Originally, you had been planning on going to support your friends. However, after the week you had suffered through, you were painfully aware of all the work you had left to catch up on. You were stuck, unable to choose between the two options. Your head told you to not go, and eventually won you over when your gaze fell on the pile of school work you had yet to complete piled on your desk.
But, it was not your choice to make.
Against your will, you found your fingers tapping on the screen, confirming that you would be going to watch.
The next day, you were out of the house exactly on time, as punctual as if you were in control of your choices. It was this unusual punctuality that warned you of what might await you at Sendai Gymnasium.
Upon arrival, you sent a quick message to the group chat. Shockingly, it was Sugawara who was the first to reply, telling you that they were currently warming up on court. Clearly not everyone is entirely focused on warming up, you thought, quickly hurrying over to the court so you could wish your friends a quick good luck before making your way up to the cheering section.
Opening the door, you popped your head through, making eye contact with Kiyoko, who ushered you inside. You gave her a small wave before you made your way over to Asahi, Daichi and Sugawara, painfully aware of the stares coming from the other side of the court. You rubbed the back of your neck anxiously, feeling unsettled and nervous. Trying not to let that show on your face, you forced a smile, holding out your arms to embrace them in a hug.
“Good luck, boys,” you said. “You’ve got this.”
You shot them a thumbs up as you made your way over to Kiyoko to give her a quick hug and some words of encouragement. Before leaving the gym, you shouted over your shoulder to the rest of the team, “Good luck! Go Karasuno!”
There was a chorus of ‘thank you’ from the other members that almost masked the words uttered from the other side of the court, where Shiratorizawa were currently warming up.
“I think that might have been her.”
“Might have been who?”
“My soulmate, Wakatoshi.”
Tumblr media
You couldn’t help yourself. Along with Yachi, you sprinted out of the stands and down towards the court. Karasuno had won. It felt surreal. You were giddy with the rush of pride you felt. Though not having played a role in their development as a team, you had been there to witness most of it and knew exactly how your fellow third years were probably feeling.
It was Kiyoko you spotted first, and you didn’t hesitate to pull her into a bone-crushing hug as you both jumped up and down. Next came your three friends on the team. You didn’t hesitate, running forward and launching yourself at them. It was at that moment, with your arms wrapped around your closest friends that you felt the tug of your soulmate’s needs. It was time for them to make a decision.
Go up to her or let her celebrate with her team.
A gasp escaped your lips as you pulled away from the embrace, glancing around trying to discern who may be waiting for you to make your choice. Without wasting another moment, you made the decision.
Go up to her.
It was at that moment that your gaze was drawn to the other side of the court where a tall figure with hair as red as yours was dyed was stood waiting. Almost against his will, as if he wasn’t expecting, he began to move towards you. His lips twitched at the corner, giving you a teasing smirk. He held out his hand to you, that smirk still twisting his mouth. You reached out and took his outstretched hand.
“Hi. I’m Tendou Satori.”
The moment your skin touched his, you felt it. That connection between you. Here he was. Your soulmate.
“You’re a fucking teasing piece of shit,” you spat. You couldn’t help yourself. The words slipped out, guided by the animosity you had been harbouring towards this individual for months now.
“But it was fun, no?”
“Fun?” you seethed. “Making someone dye their hair this shitty colour is not my definition of fun.”
“But, it was the reason we found each other, and you weren’t the nicest with your choices either,” he pointed out, probably remembering his sleepless nights and copies of Shonen Jump he had yet to purchase. “So, in return, let me take you out sometime. After all, fate has decreed that we are a perfect pair.”
You let out a huff, not able to argue with his logic. “As long as you pay.”

jettin’ around, the christmas tree
Notes: Crack treated seriously. If you squint and tilt your head sideways, you can see pre-Nanahiko vibes, but this is mostly about kid!Toshinori going crazy over Santa!Torino. Toshinori refers to Mrs. Claus as Santa-okusan, because I still struggle with honorifics, and Santa Claus is already acknowledged as Santa-san. Word count: 1,526
//
Sorahiko had messed up. Not only had he lost the damn sack of presents, but he’d been caught red-handed by a brat that didn’t even look old enough to attend primary school. The kid was still staring at him, wide-eyed and open-mouthed, awed into miraculous silence.
Without a doubt, Sorahiko knew he’d broken the sanctity of being a Pro-Hero Santa.
It wasn’t truly the brat’s fault that Sorahiko had lost the presents. Sorahiko should have been paying attention to the skies; from one suburban roof to the next, while he was shifting the bulky weight from shoulder to shoulder, Sorahiko had been ambushed by some shitty villain who didn’t understand that Christmas was strictly off-limits for misbehavior.
Someone slammed into him mid-air. They had made off with the toy sack while Sorahiko, thrown off-balance, crashed against a roof and tumbled to the snow-covered ground. To add insult to injury, his collision had caused a small avalanche of snow to crumble straight into his face, cold crystal dust filtering into his collar.
And of course, the kid in residence couldn’t just sleep through the noise. Of course someone would be drawn to investigate.
Sorahiko had been cursing quietly to himself, struggling to his feet and shaking off snow, when the front door creaked open to reveal the kid.
The kid was, as aforementioned, tiny enough that Sorahiko couldn’t see him attending primary school yet. He had fluffy pale hair, with two long bangs in the front, and he was awfully fragile-looking. Sorahiko wondered if he could get away without talking to said kid.
“Santa-san?” whispered the kid, finally breaking the tense silence.
This was the absolute last time Sorahiko would sign up for the Pro-Hero Santa program. No monetary compensation was worth this.
“You’ve got me,” said Sorahiko dully. He took off that stupid red triangle hat and brushed off the lining of faux white fur. His face didn’t need any assistance being warmed up; he could feel his ears burning. Embarrassment might have overtaken him, if Sorahiko’s pro-hero senses didn’t twig onto something weird. He looked critically at the darkened household; the lack of yellow lamplight signifying a parent waking, searching for their waylaid child.
“Santa-san!” the kid repeated. With quick, darting footsteps, he slipped out from the house and went to hug Sorahiko, jumping a little to latch his twiggy arms over Sorahiko’s belt. “They said you weren’t real! They said you wouldn’t give presents to,” he faltered, then redoubled his quiet enthusiasm, “to kids on the naughty list!”
“You’re not on the naughty list,” Sorahiko said, absentminded. He was reviewing his list of addresses. The Pro-Hero Santa program had many, many letters sent in from children all around the country, and consequently, many, many pro-heroes were enlisted to help deliver presents.
Sorahiko checked the address; it didn’t look familiar. In fact, this was probably one of the few households in the neighborhood that hadn’t sent in a letter. He had chalked it up to residents too old to be eligible for the program.
“I’m not?” the kid gasped.
“Have you done something naughty?”
“No!” he said, almost desperate in his protesting. “No, I swear, I’ve been really, really good.”
“Where’s your parents?” Sorahiko tried to cut off any possibility of crying. He was not emotionally prepared to deal with a crying child. Speaking of, he needed to track down the villain who had stolen the presents—or else there would be so many more crying children by the morning.
“Not here,” said the kid, and Sorahiko swore the moonlight was somehow angled just right to reflect the building tears. “Isshin-san said I wasn’t allowed to go to the party.”
“’Party,’” echoed Sorahiko. “I—are you alone? They left you alone in the house?” No. Bigger problems, Torino, focus up. He stared at the kid, and the kid stared back, childlike trust in his open expression. “You can’t just open the door like that, kid, that’s inviting danger.”
“But you’re Santa-san,” he argued.
No, I’m not! Inner-Sorahiko howled. Outwardly, Sorahiko schooled his face and pried the kid off him. And then, not because the kid was visibly shivering (thin clothes, barefoot, light as a feather), Sorahiko picked him up and tugged his cape around the trembling body. Those twiggy arms crept under the wide, layered collar, seeking warmth.
“Santa is not a good excuse,” he said. “What’s your name?”
“Yagi Toshinori.”
“Right. When are your guardians coming home?” Not parents, if Yagi is referring to them by their given name and using that honorific.
“Dunno,” the boy quietly answered, and he burrowed against Sorahiko, hugging him and hugging him, and Sorahiko should not be thinking about bopping a few civilians’ heads. He also should not be thinking about taking Yagi with him on the way to retrieve the presents.
“Will they be back by morning?”
“Dunno.”
Sorahiko felt a migraine coming on. The rules were adamant about getting presents delivered, come hell or high water, but they didn’t account for the unique moral test of leaving a child to fend for himself, or committing a minor kidnapping in the name of safety.
Also, Sorahiko didn’t want to see Yagi’s face crumble as he inevitably did not receive any presents from the Pro-Hero Santa program. Even Sorahiko could recognize when the asshole routine went from tolerable to unforgivable.
Ah, right, there was that option. Sorahiko dug out his phone from where it was strapped to his belt, and clumsily hit the speed-dial for Nana’s cell. It didn’t ring for more than two seconds before she picked up with a yawning, “Hello, hello?”
“Nana, it’s—” Sorahiko grimaced. His impulse to have Nana save the day had forgotten to take into account that Nana would milk this joke for the rest of Sorahiko’s career. Not to mention, he could see Yagi’s head rearing back. The kid looked at Sorahiko’s phone with interest. “Are you busy?”
“Santa-okusan?” Yagi inquired, excited yet again.
“Yagi, quiet.”
He hadn’t meant to snap the command, yet he had, and now Sorahiko had to suffer the sight of Yagi recoiling at the sharp words and hunching into himself. There was a beat of silence wherein Sorahiko wanted to lay down and die, except Nana’s spirit had never met a gauntlet it would back away from, so as usual, she put him back on his feet again.
“Put me on speaker,” she said, and Sorahiko complied.
“You’re on.”
Nana cleared her throat. Kindly, gently, she said, “Hello, Yagi-shonen! Santa-san’s pretty bad at talking. He’s usually so busy taking care of delivering presents, he never gets the chance to talk! Are you having a good Christmas Eve?”
Yagi perked up at the soothing voice. Something in Sorahiko settled too, in spite of the playful joke Nana had said at his expense.
“The best, Santa-okusan! Santa-san is good at talking,” the kid said loyally.
“That’s great!”
“Okay,” Sorahiko interrupted, before anymore exclamation points could be exchanged. He gave Nana the run-down. “I lost my, uh, presents to… a Grinch. Can you come over here and secure Yagi for the night? His guardians are out.”
“I’m suiting up,” said Nana, brisk and business-like. The playfulness slipped back into her voice, even as interference from the rush of air crackled over the phone: “Where you at, partner?”
He rattled off the address and curtly hung up on her. She would be here in less than a minute; the neighborhood wasn’t far from Nana’s place, and Nana could be wickedly quick when pressed.
“Santa-san,” warbled Yagi, “are you leaving?”
“I gotta get the presents back,” Sorahiko said, and did a double-take at the return of the tears. “What are you crying for? Are you too cold? Geez, why didn’t you get a bathrobe or something before coming outside?” He bounced Yagi up and down.
“I’m sorry,” the kid sniffled, hiccupping with every jolt.
“Sorry? What for?”
“The presents! I came out here and distracted you and maybe the G-Grinch,” he stuttered over the unfamiliar English, “will have gotten away with the presents! I ruined Christmas!”
“You haven’t ruined Christmas.”
“B-but—”
“Hey, Yagi, you wanna see how Santa-san gets around from roof to roof?” Sorahiko asked, hoping a distraction would help. At the tearful nod, Sorahiko readied himself for an easy, controlled Jet. He held Yagi close, breathed in the sharp, clean cold air, and Jetted.
Yagi was promptly impressed. “Wow!” he shrieked, little fingers digging into Sorahiko’s insulated jumpsuit as they rose above the household below. “Wow, Santa-san! You fly like this?!”
Before Sorahiko could lower themselves back to solid ground, he spotted a white comet streaking towards them. Frantically, he did a cursory look around the neighborhood—lo and behold, there was an incongruous van peeling away in a direction into Tokyo-proper.
They landed. Yagi babbled about how cool Sorahiko was; Sorahiko calculated how fast Nana’s outrage would propel her, and readied himself.
“Yagi,” he said, “trust me.”
“Okay, Santa-san—EEP!”
It was not very Santa-like behavior, but Sorahiko tossed Yagi at Nana (who could always be counted to catch a civilian Gran Torino passed onto her), shouted, “Merry Christmas!”, and bolted for the gang of villains.

I never expected to see that horseshit even in Hannibal/Will pairing. I’d really thought they were exempt from that bullshit.
All I can say is that the thirst for the dominant male/ homophobia is unreal. Female Will Graham—
At this point I don’t even know whether to get angry or simply laugh at such stories. This is beyond ridiculous! Imagine being idiotic enough to even write they aren’t murder husbands, and being weird enough to put in the story, its murder husband and wife.
Please. There has never been a wife nor will there ever be. Dream on.
Thankfully, the cringeworthy self insert fics are still in double digits.
Just say you want to fuck the Dom and can’t stand that two guys love each other and are in a relationship. Literally no one wants to read about your fantasy. Go and write self-insert/OFC with the male and be happy with that. Don’t be this pathetic and try to write your fantasy in the slash ship. Keep your straight agenda to your lame het self-insert ships.
No wonder this bull even bled out to shoujo manga. That is a new low even for a shoujo. Seriously, just say you hate gay people and get out. Having the fucking audacity to write that kind of homophobic content in 2020 is shocking.
There is really no need to be that disgusting. Just write your idiotic, stupid, annoying, brainless, obsessed, creepy fangirl with the male lead and leave gay people lout of it. No need to show again and again how foul you are by bringing them in. You are literally proving what kind of a person you are by writing such crap.
I am just so disgusted by that manga that I don’t even want to remember it if I can help it. Is that how fm couples are being made these days, by being blatantly homophobic and vile/showing het superiority or downright pedophilic content. No wonder those stories never reach more than 50? 60? Ratings on amazon.
Now, if you look at Ten Count, Given, well, there ratings are in 1000 or above 500.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Please, continue being so gross, at one point only garbage people will end up buying that crap.
Mediocre shoujo writers are so fucking threatened by the popularity of BL that they are even resorting to such vile tricks.
Seeing such things just cements what I’ve always thought. People just got better at hiding their homophobia, (we needed change so we turned a boy into a girl in slash fics of the coulple ) it’s painfully obvious what you truly think when you spit out such bullshit. No need to jump through so many goddamn hoops. Hell, I am not even surprised by this behaviour.
These are the same kind of garbage people who screamed, Yuki should return to being a girl, we don’t like male Yuki.
Tumblr media
Shut the fuck up! Luka is literally saying they have the same soul, he can only love once. Yuki is Yuki. So called female yuki was mentioned in passing at best, got two? three ? full pages.
Luka won’t fuck you no matter how much you wish it.
The story doesn’t even have a kiss scene between the fem yuki and luka or any hets while Senshirou breaks off his engagement saying quite clearly he cares for Kuroto. The girl is thankfully not a trash person like the homophobic readers. Neither is she like the one with sairi and touko.
The whole manga revolves around present male Yuki and Luka, their relationship and other bl ships. See the fucking artworks, go and buy Phosphor, its pure BL. There is a limit to how blind or in denial a person can be.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This manga and anime is shonen-ai, it’s always been that and will always be that. All the main couples are slash. The mangaka is famous for her BL stories.
Uraboku was published in Asuka, the magazine which is infamous for never outright saying the two males are in love and are together.
Bloody Mary, X/1999, Kyou Kara Maou are prime examples, they are all shonen ai/BL subtext. Stop trying so hard to deny the fucking truth. The author’s new work, a shoujo, was so poorly received that’s it’s not even funny. Beautiful art couldn’t save it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Clamp literally said do not call Kamui and Fuuma as brothers. They aren’t friends. They are soulmates! They parallel Seishirou and Subaru, an established, famous MM couple. Fuuma is all Kamui thinks about.
They don’t even mention the obsessed, creepy fangirl.
They are together in Tsubasa too. Stop trying to force your heteronormative bullshit onto everyone.
No wonder some homophobic / thirsty person had the audacity to write in the fucking wikia of that light novel, this character is not gay you know. It’s implied he might be—
He is literally saying he is gay in the story, he tells it straight to the other party. He’s been gay all these years.
And, you are still trying to push your het agenda.
I totally get where that nonsense came from. He is a very very good looking man.  You want a chance to fuck him and think this is the best way to make yourself feel good. Go and get help if you are that fucking sad of a person. This isn’t normal behaviour, it’s creepy.
You gotta be some other level of stupid if you think they are friends/brothers. Friends/siblings don’t do this with each other.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Some idiots even denied Kurogane/Fai being a subtle couple in Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle. You have to be blind as a bat if you truly sat there and thought they weren’t a thing.
Tumblr media
Even these two from get backers.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hell, I think Get Backers author even said yes, those two guys are together. Like, please readers, take your homophobia and get out.
I have to give it to Atsuko Nakajima for drawing such beautiful illustrations. All of her works, whether they be MM, FM, FF are simply too beautiful.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Stay mad that your imagined het only exists in your head not in actual story. Go read trash like that shoujo or see het pedo shows which thinks 500 year old is attracted to a little 7 year old. You’ll find many trash homophobic people like you there.
Even on manga sites you see idiotic lists like, erotica Not BL, smut with anything but bl, quality smut not BL.
Seriously, how fucking pressed are you that people don’t seem to give two fucks about your fm ships, these fm smut mangas have way less views than BL.
Be decent and write mf smut list, shoujo josei smut or something of the like. You have to mention bl somehow don’t you? This isn’t even pathetic, it’s downright gross.
No wonder some foolish homophobic trash wrote lies like omegaverse does not belong to slash. You have to be completely shameless and downright stupid to write such horseshit.
Of course, some freaks even like that horrendous, homophobic, monstrous bitch from ten count. To this day I don’t understand how anyone can say such things.
She looked good standing next to kurose. She is good looking.
I just cant—
What a joke! She is human garbage nothing more and ugly as hell.
Ugh, the only place she should be in is a fucking sewer. I hate that bitch so much. She deserves to die a million times for what she did. Her existence is a fucking disgrace.
