actually, more to maine coon hope
Shang Tsung meets them first and second time(after he became sorcerer) when they were a kitten/young cat, so he probably didn’t expect them to become really big cat later on
The ideas you have are brilliant, anon. I continue to drink this maine coon tea. In continuation to this prompt: Shang's Cat I take this two ways - you growing up with Shang or after he meets you after years and you've grown up.
You had met Shang when you were only still a kitten. He took your large ears as just being some sort of breeding between strays, since there were some many of them in his filthy hometown.
He didn't realize that that was an actual indicator to your breed.
Once a lap cat, always a lap cat. He happily still allows you to continue doing so. In fact, he feels a sense of pride and success when you still crawl into his lap.
For the first year, you rapidly grow. It was rather bemusing. He thought at first it was just because somebody was actually taking care of you for once instead of you being on the streets.
But you didn't stop growing. You were getting a bit big for the shopwagon.
By four years, you were completely grown out. Do you realize all that Shang had done to accompany your size? He threw out some precious bottles he used for his quack potions, mind you! He would let you know too, going on endless rambles as he would do yet another spring cleaning. He would have fed you better than himself but you seemed to only eat when he did. There was a mutual relationship between you two, so he could never be fully angry.
You took up most of his already-small bed. You almost suffocated him quite a few times that you slept atop him, from both your weight and your fur in his face. He fully anticipated you to be the death of him.
OR - Shang sees you grown up years after.
When Shang met Damashi, he wasn't really given a choice. You were an outdoors cat - frankly because you didn't really fit in the wagon - so you were exploring the night the mysterious entity came.Shang accepted Damashi's proposal, and he had left. When you returned to where the wagon was, it was gone.
Shang had left you. You didn't know why or what had happened. You could only hope he was well.
You continued on your own, then. You would never experience a connection with anyone like you did with Shang and no one else in that old town could afford to look after a cat. Especially one with such rapid growth.
So you traveled. Looking for food, and shelter. After years of being on the street, one day you found yourself in the tomb of the Dragon Army. You didn't know where you were, but you smelled a familiar scent and followed it. Little did you know Shang was there as well.
Shang saw you before you saw him. He recognized the breed of Maine coon from his studies, but didn't know why one was suddenly here. He wanted to ignore it, but it could be problematic.
He tutted his tongue to capture your attention from where he stood. He didn't want to provoke you, just wanted to study you.
But as he came closer, you approached him instead. And your mewl was too happy to be considered aggressive.
He crouched down and slowly put his hand out to let you sniff. The sorcerer had never seen a cat so big yet calm. "You seem quite different than a normal cat."
Your affectionate disposition made him thing. You acted like you knew the sorcerer, and the more he looked at you, a feeling of nostalgia passed within his chest. You looked like... Hope.
He experimentally scratched between your ears. A spot you favored. You leaned into him and licked his wrist.
No, you didn't just look like Hope. You *were* Hope.
His trademark grin spread across his face. This new lifestyle of his was truly an upbringing. He became more powerful, lavish, and now reunited with you. You both seemed to have changed from the years apart, and it seemed to be for the better with how big you've gotten. Bigger, *stronger*.
You would do perfectly in his palace as you did many years ago in his shopwagon.
He picked you up- and nearly winded himself with just how heavy you've gotten. He didn't even question how you grew so large, he was just surprised at how well nature took its course to allow both of you to meet again.
Cue epic montage of Shang giving you the best life any cat could ever ask for and him training you to attack. You lived as royals now. You were a fur-midable duo (horrible pun sorry

*A Letter layes on the steps or your Shopwagon in the Morning*
To _____ Husband,
i may or may not have started several Wars in the Faywilds, i don't know if you have any alliances that are soon being called on or if they include any groups in your Realm.
I thought you at least deserved a warning.
Good luck.
-The Mighty Dalob
*a letter appears at the door to your room in the lair*
“Dear @the-mighty-dalob
I would like to kindly thank you for informing me of this great disaster. Luckily we are undetected as the war is happening three realms over from ours. As a thanks, I give onto you this house plant. Be warned it shrieks if not watered on time and is enchanted to never leave the lair. It also a a fire resistance enchantment courtesy of Jerry.
Hope you enjoy - Prince.”
*next to it is a w meter tall tropical houseplant that seams to grow baseball sized fruit. On it is a name plate.*
“Hello I’m rob, I hope you take care of me.”
