Rahul Mishra is a renowned Indian fashion designer making significant contributions to the world of haute couture.
Rahul Mishra was born and brought up in Kanpur, a small industrial city in Uttar Pradesh, India. Growing up in a modest middle-class family, he was encouraged to pursue his dreams. Mishra discovered his passion for fashion at a young age and started experimenting with design and stitching. Rahul started his journey as a designer in Mumbai, where he  worked with embroiderers who lived in the urban slum locality called, Dharavi. He attended the National Institute of Design in Ahmedabad, where he honed his skills and developed a unique design philosophy rooted in sustainability and craftsmanship.
In 2014, Rahul Mishra created history by becoming the first Indian designer to win the prestigious International Woolmark Prize. He competed against talented designers from around the world and impressed the jury with his collection inspired by the beauty of rural India. This achievement brought global recognition to Mishra and opened doors for him to showcase his work on international platforms.
Rahul Mishra’s journey as a designer encompasses not just creating beautiful garments but also making a profound impact on the fashion industry. Through the Hand embroidery and how it plays a pivotal role in Rahul Mishra’s creations. His commitment to reviving traditional craft techniques led him to collaborate with artisans across India. Mishra’s intricate embroidery work showcases the skill and artistry of these craftsmen while adding exquisite detailing to his designs. Through his work, he not only preserves ancient embroidery traditions but also empowers and supports the artisan community.
Commenting on the topic he said : "My objective is to create jobs which help people in their own villages; I take work to them rather than calling them to work for me. If villages are stronger, you will have a stronger country, a stronger nation, and a stronger world. My entire philosophy revolves around that. The product will go through evolution… it will change, improve, but the philosophy is constant.”
Rahul’s work in preserving local cultures and crafts in India as well as his  efforts in sustainably are among the many reasons that the designer has been featured on the global influential list of ‘BoF 500’ for four consecutive years as well being awarded the title of “International Fashion Award for Sustainable and Ethical Brand’ by Chambre Monegasque de la Mode at the Monte Carlo fashion Show.

Greetings to all for this auspicious day of Basant Panchami .. the divinity of Goddess Saraswati - the goddess of learning, and knowledge and artistic brilliance ..
"Goddess Saraswati, revered in Hinduism, embodies knowledge, wisdom, and arts. Adorned in white, she symbolizes purity and creativity. Saraswati is often depicted with a veena, representing harmony, and holding scriptures, showcasing her mastery over education. Worshiped during the festival of Vasant Panchami, devotees seek her blessings for academic pursuits and artistic endeavors. As the consort of Brahma, the creator, Saraswati plays a vital role in the cosmic cycle, fostering intellectual growth. Her serene presence is an inspiration for seekers of enlightenment, underscoring the importance of learning, eloquence, and the pursuit of truth in the tapestry of existence."
.. and in her learning and power of knowledge we submit ourselves , to be in the constant endeavour to learn to educate not just us but the entire Universe , if we are given the capacity to do so ..
Days of rest and rehabilitation pursued with a vengeance .. and so be it for the betterment of the soul and the body ..
My care and love ..

While scrolling I suddenly saw that someone was actually claiming that "sanjay leela bhansali is not a good director".
Tumblr media
Bhai ap ek kaam kijiye, aap mumbai jaiye jake SLB ji se baat kijiye. Aur unse kaam mangiye. Aabh aap puchenge ki kaunsa kaam. Aap unse "personal adviser" ka kaam mangiye. Aapka kaam ek ghanta bhi nahi rahega janab.
Tumblr media
That dumbo even said that "people started glorifying jauhar" bhai apka dimag ghutno pe hai kya? Alauddin Khalji Rani Padmavati ko apaharan karne wala tha.. Since he already won the war, Rani Padmavati understood that there is no other way to survive knowing Khalji had a huge lust for girls. She didnot had the urge to get physical abuse and die in the hands of a brutal person. That is the reason why she performed "jauhar". And you are talking about glorification? lemme explain. People glorified jauhar because it was no doubt a challenging work but she was not scared. Her bravery was glorified.
Now Heeramandi, Tawaiffs are like modern day Posh Prostitutes. And Tawaiffs were prostitutes. They used to dance, sing and after that they gave sexual pleasures to those rich men. Bro they are also human being. They need love as well. Again here Tawaiffs were not glorified their emotions were glorified in the series. And the world would die if there is a crisis of Tawaiifs or Prostitutes in the world. And because of these tawaiffs India got to know about kathak and other dance forms. Gajagamini and these types of walks were actually done by Tawaiffs. They were highly cultural. Some people even took there daughters to learn dance from them. They were the most cultural people out there. Kathak and Mujra songs are famous for them.
Bro going around telling that "they have no power" I mean what type of power are you talking about? They had servants because they worked on their own. They didn't had to depend on anyone. And as mallika jaan said that, "chaand kisike banrande mein nahi ata, chaand ko doorse hi dekhna padhta hai". And girls were not wanting their lifes they were wanting this type of posh treatments my dear. Girls want to be treated like queens but they don't want to be tawaiffs. (I have huge respect for tawaiffs) No one wants to be a tawaiff they were forced to do that. And once again GIRLS WANTED THEIR POSH AND RICH LIFESTYLE NOT THEIR LIFESTYLE.
Tumblr media
The moral of the story of Heeramandi is, we need to respect everyone in this world even the Tawaiifs and Prostitutes because if they don't exist men will die. And yes I have no shame in telling this that yes men will die.
And one more, They were ROYAL thats why ROYALTY was showcased my dear.
Tumblr media
And yes SLB did films which were not royal but they were Royal by heart like "Black" , "Guzarish" and many more. And he has budget my friend. Everytime, he makes a come back after 4 to 5years because he choose projects which will touch the heart of every individual and he showcases Indian Cultural in his creation. That why SANJAY LEELA BHANSALI IS SANJAY LEELA BHANSALI.
"YEE SAKAL BAN, SAKAL BAN," , "GHOOMAR GHOOMAR GHOOMAR GHOOMAR GHOOME RE", "PINGA RA PORI PINGA RA PORI PINGAAA"

Nil Yalter is the recipient of the Golden Lions Award for Lifetime Achievement, 2024.
Nil Yalter is a Turkish artist who was born in Cairo, Egypt, on 15 January 1938, and moved to Paris in 1965, where she still lives. She is widely regarded as a pioneer in the global feminist art movement. Yalter has never received formal education in visual arts, and as a self-taught artist, she has continuously conducted research into her own practices and areas of interest, working in painting, drawing, video, sculpture and installation.
Her artistic career began in 1957 when she held her first exhibition at the French Cultural Institute in Mumbai, India. However, it was during the 1960s that she delved deeper into her practice. After moving to Paris in 1965, Yalter’s work inaugurates a truly radical and pioneering chapter as she begins to address social themes, particularly related to immigration and women's experiences, in a very unique exploration and development of conceptual art practices. In 1973, Yalter created the groundbreaking installation Topak Ev, which was featured in a solo exhibition at the Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris.
In the following year, she presented The Headless Woman a key video piece addressing women's sexual liberation and the Orientalist objectification of Middle Eastern women. Another extraordinary work from this period is La Roquette, Prison de Femmes, (executed with Judy Blum and Nicole Croiset) from 1974, which presents the accounts of a former convict of the famous women’s prison in France. Additionally, her work Temporary Dwellings, first showcased in 1977, delved into the lives of migrant workers, as recounted by women.
In 1980, Yalter had a solo Video projection and conference titled Rahime, Femme Kurde de Turquie at the Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris, where another radical of work of hers was first presented. The 1990s marked a period of creative exploration and recognition for Yalter, during which she embraced digital media.

While not new to anyone familiar with the world of BL dramas that has only expanded since the pandemic, Mile and Apo sparked a curiosity in many, especially because of the grand welcome they received at the Mumbai airport, with fans queuing up for hours to catch a glimpse of the stars, and the interest they garnered online despite being surrounded by some of the biggest names in the fashion and entertainment industry.
So who are Mile and Apo?
Mile Phakphum Romsaithong and Apo Nattawin Wattanagitiphat are actors from Thailand, most popular for their roles as Kinn and Porsche in the hugely successful BL series KinnPorsche (2022).
The success of KinnPorsche catapulted the actors into global stardom with a fandom that expanded across the globe, as evidenced by the warm welcome they received by hundreds of fans in Mumbai. Aside from collecting awards and covers of all top magazines in the country, the main lead actors from the drama also scored a coveted Dior ambassadorship that led them to be invited for the label’s pre-fall 2023 ready-to-wear showcase in Mumbai recently.
(wait really?! did Hello jump the gun and leak that information before it was meant to be released, or maybe they misunderstood, or is that how we're gonna find out???)

filed under: FUCK YOU here's an actual fact file on India
aka we actually talk about india and it's not just one throwaway line after talking about some white guys and the magna carta. yes im still
India is a megadiverse country, a term employed for it and 16 other countries which showcase a high biological diversity and have many species exclusively endemic to them.
Did you know that around 75 million years ago, the Indian Plate split from the Gondwana Landmass and began moving north. Long story short, it crashed into what is now Asia, forming the Himalayas (and the geographical movements also formed the Indian Ocean).
Onto Mumbai!
Mumbai was officially known as Bombay until 1995 (and my parents still call it that)
It is the capital of Maharashtra.
It is the most populous city in India.
Mumbai is the financial, commercial, and entertainment capital of India.
It has a variety of street food (personal favourite being vada pav)
(seriously nothing has beat maharashtra vada pav in my book yet)
Marathi is the official and working language of the bureaucracy along with English and Hindi.

So, I was thinking about Paper Star (as one usually does) (guess she's my roman empire) and I love how she literally thought fighting with Carmen was easy enough to say quote "all this talk about the great Carmen Sandiego but in the flush you're just a paper tiger". Like, the fact it was harder for everyone else and wasn't for her just showcases how, just like Carmen, she is in a league of her own. Also, Carmen said "they never protect the face", but Paper Star protected her face in the museum in Mumbai (Le Chevre, Gray, Tigress, LEARN)(to be fair, at that time she was still in school so the subjects were probably still fresh in her head)
