I went and took some more pics of Silaane, my cybervari. A couple of these/some others not pictured are retakes for consistency (upgraded backstory!) and better posing since it’s been two and a half years since the first round.

— alas, there lies ( ILLDI DAGNY ), the ( GOVERNESS ) of ( IRONHAVEN ). the ( TWENTY-FIVE ) year old is known for being ( DEDICATED ) but has the tendency to be ( TACITURN ). she is known as the ( CONSCIENTIOUS ) in court. they ( ARE NEUTRAL ) with the balance.

me, sniks, writing a.... FEMALE ??? it’s more likely than u think, apparently !! here’s some basics on illdi, as well as a short lil bio !!

bio !

ILLDI DAGNY  was born in IRONHAVEN and grew up around her parents’ weapons and armor stall in the market. both of her parents were blacksmiths, and did rather well for themselves in ironhaven due to the large demand of the military and those training to be in it.

her mother, SILAAN, was originally from NORDEN. her father, WAYLAS, was born and raised in ironhaven to a blacksmithing family. the two met when silaan’s parents’ trading caravan crashed when trying to navigate the rocky roads of ironhaven. silaan and waylas married within a month while her family raised enough money for new caravan, and she stayed behind with her husband when they returned to norden.

it was only a year later that silaan gave birth to their daughter, illdi. the two started a business together ( with waylas’ blacksmithing knowledge and silaan’s trading expertise ) and soon had their own stall in the market. illdi was raised SURROUNDED by weapons, armor, and those who bought it. because of this, she knows quite a lot about weaponry and armor, and how to make, repair, and sell them. silaan and waylas also made sure to educate their daughter in matters other than their trade, such as grammer, logic, rhetoric, and basic number skills.

when illdi was eleven, she began training for the military like all ironhaven children. she excelled at what she was told to do, though she was no FAVORITE among the trainers because of her tendency to tweak the weapons and armor to her liking.

she trained until she was sixteen, at which point a job opportunity pulled her from the training ranks. a friend of her mother’s had given birth out of wedlock, and needed help with her infant while she found work and struggled to make ends meet. illdi was ALL too glad to help, and the trainers were all too glad to let her go.

illdi quickly adapted to her new job, and found that she LOVED caring for the young baby. it gave her something to be proud of, and she adored nurturing for those who were unable to fend for themselves. the people around the market began to see her as a caretaker, and she began learning all she could about pregnancy, infants, and the skills surrounding those topics.

it was a full year before the mother was back on her feet, and illdi found herself anxious to find more jobs like the one she’d been given. but she worked with her parents instead, tending the stall and shining armor and weapons.

she was twenty-three when the WAR began and zenan moved across the sea. she wanted to help, so she joined the fight as a soldier. her parents came to the new world too, in order to sell weapons and armor to meet the new needs of all the kingdoms, along with countless other blacksmiths.

illdi saw her fair share of DEATH during the war, and even killed a few on the road to zenan’s hard-fought victory. she doesn’t like to speak of the war, since all she can see is the eyes of those she killed when she closes her eyes.

when everyone returned to zenan, illdi left the weapons and armor to her family, having held a sword for far too long. around this time is when illdi met ANYA CASSEL and the two became fast friends. when KING OCTAVIUS seized bearoria, the two fled ironhaven together, and illdi helped anya deliver her child, lucy, when the time came.

she then became the governess of anya’s daughter, and is still all too happy to nurture lucy while her mother worked as a nurse.

illdi has now accompanied anya to TESHAYRA, where she still serves as governess.

personality !

illdi is KIND, but not to a fault. she wants to help, and she will help anyone if she’s able, but she also knows where to draw the line before she’s taken advantage of. 

she doesn’t take BULLSHIT very often. she’d much rather do her job ( and do it well ) than have to deal with someone bullshitting her.

while illdi knows her way around weapons and armor, she doesn’t want anything to do with it after the war. she has a strong distaste for violence, and mild PTSD when it comes to blood / injuries / gore.

she will protect lucy ( and anya ) with her life. illdi won’t hesitate to KILL someone who attempts to hurt them, though it wouldn’t be her first instinct.

she says very little unless prompted or curious ( hence she’s known as taciturn ). with that being said, she’s been know to hold STRONG opinions, and won’t hesitate to throw underhanded insults that go largely unnoticed ( she hopes ).
