When I am at my lowest part of my life, I was hopelessness and I think I will die that time, that was during the pandemic (Covid 19) it was so depressing hearing the news that days and people are afraid to get out of their houses. Everyone is panicking that time and me I don’t know what to do, I almost cannot eat three times a day and don’t have a proper sleeping time like sleeping around 4 to 5 am and waking up afternoon, I was so down that time didn’t know how to keep up with my anxiety and depression, and I cannot express my thoughts all I do is overthink and sometimes think of how things were different before than during that time, I always think that time what will happen to me and my family if things didn’t go well. And that time my girlfriend cheated on me her name was mikyla because I caught her and she only apologize because I caught her and I don’t know what to do with our relationships that time should I fix it or should I leave her and move on, I think it was my fault that time because she cheated, it is because I am not enough or maybe I lack something she wants in me. Then after some time I finally realize things leaving her that time was the best option no apology needed, if someone cheated on you it means that they no longer respect or afraid toloseyou.Because I didn't feel loved by anyone at the time, I learned how to skip home. And when I couldn't drink alcohol, my problems in life seemed to return, and it wasn't good; I realized that everything I did and the choices I made in life were bad. As a result, my addiction to the vice of the moment grew worse. I detested it as I thought back on my entire life. and I am aware that there is still time to make a fresh start. I was also mistaken because I disregarded my parents' advice, which I should have done. I realize that time that it is better to move on than be with a person who does not value you anymore, after that thing went well, I started moving on and luckily that time it is still quarantine, I use that time to coped up with things I think I couldn’t handle by myself, after all things that happened, I manage to catch up with what is happening around me and started looking after myself like taking bath a day and having proper diet like eating fruits and vegetables, I also started working out like jogging around our barangay every morning and playing basketball in our barangay silway 8 and to church ,and I also help myself to learn something new like cooking and learning some talents like playing guitar and drums because we have a church and I still don’t have ministry to it so it is a good thing that I learned drums. I also learned reading books and it started to become my habit to read books. The first book that I’ve read is the War bey Robert Greene, that book was all about tactics and learning the moves of your enemy, I became interested in the book because my goal is to become a better person once I comeback to the people after i distance myself so they can respect me. I also read that book because I think that will help me in the future once I become a police or soldier. After that things went well in my life my parents started praising me for coping with things.

Having some new friends also help me recover from my past mistakes and depression and time by time, my relationship with my new friends started to grow and bond like playing online games like mobile legends bang bang, call of duty mobile, pubg mobile and also computer games like dota, we could not yet met each other that time because its still lockdown,And I want to genuinely thank everyone who has supported me during the ups and downs of my life, especially my cycling companions who made my life brighter when I met you and my mother who always gave me advice. And now that I've had my fill, I promise to stay away from my prior bad behavior. Now that I've seen and connected with my friends I'm haappy , I realized that having some friendship with many people really push you up whenever you are down, having Friends prevent isolation and loneliness and give you a chance to offer needed companionship, too. Friends can also: Increase your sense of belonging and purpose. Boost your happiness and reduce your stress. And also you need to choose what friends you want because it will also affect you and your behaviors especially when you always hand around with that people, because when hang around people with bad disciples and no manners you’ll eventually adapt it so its better to choose your circle of friends. The old saying that friends are like family is very true, because your closest friends are those that have been there for you through everything. You never have to worry about their intentions, or doubt their advice, because they always have your best interests at hear. You need a real friend is someone that you can rely on. You know that they will keep their plans with you. You know that you can rely on them to show up for you when you need it. Real friends are people that have proven they will show up for you in the past and will continue to do so because you are a priority to them. This is the key on coping up with things that you think is impossible to do, having some help with people is not a bad thing to do, though someone might not help you but will give you some life changing advice that will help you see things differently.

GENERAL SANTOS CITY – South Cotabato First District Rep. Shirlyn Bañas-Nograles has asked President Rodrigo Duterte and Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Sec. Mark Villar to look into possible irregularities in the implementation of a PHP200-million bridge project here. Nograles questioned on Friday the release of additional funding by the DPWH central office for the rehabilitation of the Upper Silway Bridge along Albert Morrow Boulevard, only two years after its completion. Citing a recent site visit, she said it appears that the bridge, which was built from 2016 to 2018 by private contractor Grace Construction Corp., is not just undergoing repair or rehabilitation but a “reconstruction”. The lawmaker noted that the bridge's girder was totally taken out, and only the columns have so far remained. The bridge’s rehabilitation, which is implemented by DPWH-Region 12 and commissioned to Abu Construction, has an allocation of around PHP88 million. “But why are we building another bridge when it was only completed two years ago? It’s a total waste of effort and PHP200 million in people’s money. So it should be investigated,” she said in a radio interview. Nograles, who said she already reported the matter to the President and Sec. Villar, raised doubts over the DPWH regional office’s earlier report that the bridge suffered major damage due to the series of major earthquakes late last year and early this year. She said she was puzzled because other bridges in the area remain intact following the earthquakes. The official recalled that the agency already started re-routing passing vehicles even before the earthquake occurred, indicating that there had been a problem with the bridge’s structural integrity. She also observed that the structure appeared to have sagged early on and that the quality of work seemed to be "problematic". Nograles said the DPWH should have held the contractor accountable and that the project should still be covered by warranty.   Based on the implementing rules and regulation of Republic Act 9184, she said the warranty against structural defects and failures of projects “shall be 15 years from final acceptance except those occasioned by force majeure”. “We are closely watching the developments of this project because there is another supplemental allocation of PHP193 million intended for its expansion, and we don’t want that to go to waste,” she said. Engr. Rey Francisco, head of the South Cotabato 2nd District Engineering Office, maintained the bridge suffered significant damage due to the previous earthquakes and the passing of overloaded vehicles. “Our (DPWH) regional office made the right decision to pursue the bridge’s rehabilitation to preempt possible untoward accidents,” Francisco said in a separate radio interview. He said the project’s structural defects were not covered by warranty since they were due to usage and the earthquakes' impact. (PNA)

Our goal is to give aid to the children of General Santos city, specifically, children residing in Barangay Silway, Barangay Tinagacan, and Barangay Sinawal who are suffering from malnutrition and other health related issues related to inadequate nourishment. And in addition, teach the families affected about the importance of proper food intake.

Join us on June 15, 17 and 19 this year as we conduct the feeding program at Brgy. Sinawal, Silway, and Brgy. Tinagacan, General Santos City. Day after the feeding, we will conduct a seminar for the parents or guardians of the children about child labor and malnutrition.

Kabilang sa mga nominado si Mark Ferven Avance ng Midsayap, Cotabato na pinangunahan ang mga kabataan sa kanilang bayan sa paggawa at pamimigay ng mga personal protective equipment, maging sa pamamahagi ng relief packs sa mga mahihirap na pamilya.

Nominado din si Jimboy Baldesco ng General Santos City na nagsagawa ng community kitchen at donation drive, maging ng pamamahagi ng tulong sa mga nangangailangang senior citizens sa Purok Silway Fatima, Dadiangas West.

Kasali din sa mga regional nominee si Orlando Batallones ng Koronadal City, South Cotabato na pinangasiwaan ang pag-organisa ng mga relief repacking at distribution activity, preparasyon at produksyon ng mga PPE, at pakikipag-ugnayan sa mga donor. Pasok din bilang nominee si Jessie Cruz ng Koronadal City na pinangunahan ang Bulig Kontra COVID sa iba-ibang bayan sa lalawigan kung saan nakalikom ng malaking halaga at mga donasyon na ibinahagi sa mga frontline worker at mga pamilyang naapektuhan ng lockdown. Nakiisa din si Cruz sa pagtulong sa mga micro-small and medium enterprise sa lalawigan sa pamamagitan ng BUYanihan South Cotabato.

Nominado din sa SOCV si Dr. Faye Travilla ng Banga, South Cotabato na pinangunahan ang Shield Pinas sa pamamahagi ng mga PPE, aerosol, at waterproof gown sa ilang mga ospital sa South Cotabato. Sa pamamagitan ng volunteer efforts ni Travilla, nagkaroon ng lokal na disenyo ng waterproof gown na aprubado ng Department of Health ang ilang mga ospital sa lalawigan sa kabila ng problema ng mapagkukunan ng mga gamit na ito dahil sa lockdown.

Mula sa limang regional nominees, isa ang pipiliing pambato ng rehiyon para sa national level. Sa isinagawang Regional Steering Committee XII virtual meeting nitong Lunes na pinangunahan ng National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) XII, mas kinilala pa ang mga nominado at tinalakay ang kanilang mga volunteer activity ngayong may pandemya.

Sa ilalim ng SOCV, kinikilala ang mahahalagang ambag ng mga indibidwal sa pagtugon sa krisis dulot ng coronavirus disease 2019.

Samantala, nagpaabot naman ng kanyang pasasalamat si NEDA XII regional director Teresita Socorro Ramos sa mga volunteer sa kanilang dedikasyon at adhikaing makatulong sa mga nangangailangan. Ani Ramos, mahalaga ang papel na ginagampanan ng mga volunteer bilang katuwang ng pamahalaan sa pagsusulong ng isang mapayapa at maunlad na komunidad. (PIA Cotabato City)
