My first post and public cc! Inspired by a friend, I learned how to retexture hairs recently so I picked some kijiko hairs to retexture because their meshes are adorable :D

Ginko G16 Recoloured

As requested. Here is a recolour of spell-bloom's retexture in a palette used once by Digi, with 6 families. I'm honestly proud of how it turned out because the first attempt was very pixelated! Also, apparently the Afterglow texture is blend of two blends, so hopefully I managed to give credit to everyone involved.

2 Hairs 4t2

Here are two hairs 4t2, one request and one I did for myself. The left is option A from Deniq's Ushanka Hat set, and it comes in 4 swatches (2 brown/1 gray/1 black) and uses the Maxis short combed hair as the base/scalp underneath. The hat is everyday/formal/outerwear/gym while every other outfit is shortcombed. Since it uses a Maxis hair, the textures for that hair are repo'd to the basegame hair so if you have e.g. a Simgaroop texture default it'll match. The other hair, JINO N42, is pretty self explanatory.

I shared two creations for the November/December GoS theme You've Got Male and That's So 2006! Check it out at this link! Details under the cut!

First up is a default replacement of tmbodyopenshirtsurfsshorts from the Family Fun Stuff Pack. I've never used this outfit, and my teens visiting Twikki Island deserve better. So I took WeBluePeace's 4t2 SP10 ShirtGraphic(and Taylor's TM conversion) and combined it with DeeDee's TM conversion of glumbut‘s 4t2 Jonie Shorts to make a new mesh that will be perfect for lounging on the beach or learning the Fire Dance. I limited myself to just the three outfits for the replacement, but there are so many recolors for the shirt, shorts, and shoes that you could make any number of combinations. 

These are categorized as everyday, are compressorized, and contain fat morph. And you can choose between the Default Replacement and non-Defaults!

Then I have Simgarooped recolors for a goatee from The Sims 2 Exchange by a creator named ZandyCrafty, who uploaded celebrity remakes. This was likely made it 2004 or 2005, but I don't remember who the celebrity sim was, and it was only available in one dark brown color. I like that it is an edit of the Wispy goatee to connect the top and bottom without making it as full as the Maxis goatee, and I think it pairs very well with stubble. 

The goatee comes in 7 colors (black, brown, dark drown, blonde, plat blonde, red, and bright red). Everything is binned to their correct color, but the original four colors are Familied as well. Everything contains a gray texture, too.

A little unserious mucking around just to get an idea out of my head (hence a quickie screen snip from my editing program to show these). I don't actually know how to recolour/retexture hairs, not even sure I want to learn how at the moment tbh.

I love Poppet's v2 hairs, used them for years, but always thought it would be cool to have even more colour options, kind of like how Simgaroop has two browns and two reds.

So I just played around with secondary colour options using the originals as a base. In each pair, the one on the left is the original Poppet v2 and the one on the right is my alternate option. A more silvery white, a blue-black, a lighter, ashier brown, a deeper red that's less orange, and a platinum blonde.

Of course the game can't differentiate one red from another for example when it comes to genetics, red is red, but would be cool to be able to choose from shade variants. I'm sure my game would LOVE having twice as many files for all the hairs too lol. But some Sims would totally bleach their hair a more platinum blonde, and maybe blondes would go a more silvery white than steely grey for example.

This post has... really no purpose except for funsies I guess! Just fun to see how these look outside my brain! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I couldn't find any Maxis Match defaults for this hair that I actually liked... so I made my own. It's my first default replacement and let me tell you: I struggled with it XD. But at least it's working 🥹
