don't get your hopes up on a Sims 2 or Sims 1 remaster, EA is a bunch of d-bags and they're not going to do it. They're literally going to rerelease Sims 2 and Sims 1 on the EA app and that's it and probably charge some gross amount and call it a 25th anniversary "gift."

Alright folks, the moment you've all been waiting for. We have a tie between two of the choices for what you think was the lie. And like I said in a previous reblog, I'd vote for the correct answer. So, here are the final results:
Tumblr media
A majority of you thought the dating sim one was wrong, but it's true! The Days of Memories series was a series of dating sims (mostly using KOF characters) released for i-mode, an old mobile Internet service in Japan, and rereleased on the Nintendo DS. Japan-exclusive, of course. Six games were released focused on dating the girls, and one game was released focused on dating the guys. So yup at least 7 of them. There were two others in the series: one set in the Samurai Shodown universe and one set in the Last Blade universe but I didn't add them to my count.
The live-action movie one was a lie! Only ONE live-action KOF movie was made in 2010, and it indeed sucked ass. They set up a sequel hook at the end of the movie, but unsurprisingly, there wasn't a sequel made.
Since every choice got at least one vote, I'll talk about each of them under a read more.
1. Talking about KOF '94's Team USA aka the American Sports Team here! The members are Heavy D! (boxer), Lucky Glauber (basketball player), and Brian Battler (football player). Their first and last canonical appearance was the first game in the series. Though they come back in KOF '98, it is not a canonical entry.
2. Talking about KOF '94 again! This was back in the day when SNK and Capcom would make jabs at each other through their games, and this was SNK poking fun at Capcom. Rugal turns fighters into statues when he defeats them, and poor Guile was one of them. You can see him in the background in the pre-fight cutscene before the final boss battle
Tumblr media
3. ... yes this one's true. KOF 97 during the pre-battle cutscene vs Orochi Leona. Early English localizations were weird.
Tumblr media
3. Referring to KOF Sky Stage for this one! This was released in 2010 in the arcades and on the Xbox 360.
4. Talking about the manga The King of Fantasy! It's also a light novel. Pretty fun manga, ngl. Iori meets a bunch of KOF character look-a-likes in this medieval fantasy world and its great. And in typical Iori-fashion, he's an asshole to everyone. Like i said, fun read.
8. This was very early on in the series but this is true! Most notably, both Iori and Shingo had girlfriends listed in their profiles, but those got dropped as the series went on. Fans have theorized (especially in Iori's case) this was to discourage... certain ships. I think SNK has acknowledges and embraces the Kyo x Iori ship nowadays though lol Not that they'd ever make it canon, but I don’t expect them to.
9. Honestly, I wish I was a little more specific in my wording for this one, but I think the sentiment is still there. At the end of KOF XI, Shingo gets beat up by Iori while he's under the influence of his blood curse. Shingo wasn't a playable character again until he was added to KOF XV's DLC this year. KOF XI first came out in 2005. So yup, 18 year gap. Shingo did make some cameo appearances during his absence but it wasnt until this year that he was a playable character again.
10. Oh boy SNK Heroines Tag Team Frenzy. For this canonical entry (yes this is canon), Kukri imprisoned a bunch of the female fighters in a pocket dimension he created. The only way to get out is for them to fight in teams of two and defeat him. And they're all scantily clad. And for some reason genderbent Terry is here too. Also scantily clad. Kukri not able to keep it in his pants is the only plausible explanation for this.

Is Frank Ocean a 'Rick and Morty' Fan? Singer is 'Way Into' McDonald's Szechuan Sauce
www.inhandnetworks.com
When McDonald’s released packets of Szechuan sauce for one-day only in early October, customers flocked to the fast food chain by the hundreds, causing many locations to sell out. They were all Rick and Morty fans, and it was their Twitter harassment of McDonald’s that spurred the burger company to bring back the 1998 limited edition sauce, if only for a day. Frank Ocean had some thoughts about the whole thing.
As part of his 32-page photo essay for i-D magazine, the singer-songwriter, and former member of the hip hop collective Odd Future, included a stream-of-consciousness essay featuring shout-outs to everything from positivity—saying "yes" instead of "no"—to that infamous flavoring: "I'll never know why or what's with campouts for Szechuan sauce at McDonalds. But I'm way into it."

Hard to say whether that makes Ocean a Rick and Morty fan, or merely a lover of the chicken nugget sauce. The 29-year-old would have been 11 at the time of its release.
With regard to his essay reference, Ocean likely saw a video uploaded to YouTube on October 7 depicting swarms of customers waiting in line, chanting, “When I say 'Szechuan,' you say 'sauce!” The police eventually cleared the rowdy patrons.
The sauce, first released back in 1998 in promotion for the Disney movie Mulan, is having a renaissance moment after becoming an ongoing jokes on Adult Swim's Rick and Morty. A subsequent Change.org petition received over 40,000 signatures requesting that McDonald’s bring it back. That led the company to send the show’s co-creator, Justin Roiland, a tub of the hot sauce; they then announced a plan to rerelease the Szechuan packets for one day.
Ocean spent the majority of 2017 on tour and performing at festivals around the globe. During that time he shot the photos included in the i-D essay. Since being on the road, Ocean has dropped a number of new singles, including “Biking,” “Lens,” “Chanel,” “Slide on Me,” and “Provider,” all while manning his Apple Music show, blonded RADIO, which launched in February.
