Fanart time - this time it's a piece inspired by "Superbloom" by @silentplanetband. My friend had a gift basket for them and this drawing ended up there too. In printed form, because customs were in no hurry and my package waited with them for almost a week before it was finally delivered.
I wanted to paint something about transformation, to show something that at first glance seems familiar but is actually already starting to change its proportions and shape, and to weave into all this the phenomenon of the superbloom and the mysterious forest from the cover.
If you are not yet familiar with Silent Planet, I recommend "Superbloom" for a good start!

A little ceramic experiment: my very first flower vase.
Most of the meadow flowers and sgrafitto elements hid under the glaze, but, well, that's how it goes sometimes.

Skeletour starts today and I remembered about this Copia I painted as part of Secret Santa gift for a friend. This is the first time I've painted something on shikishi and it turned out to be very thick indeed. Less than a month to go and the tour will reach Łódź!

The ice is melting, it's time to head into a new season.
Yes, the whale pot does exist, I made it about a year ago and was supposed to take photos when I found a resident for it, but I forgot. Haha. The whale is home to Crassula Buddha's Temple.

A linocut I made back in December - small, but with lots of hidden details and references to song lyrics and other things. So far no one has managed to decipher everything 😂

Ceramic cat watercolour palette made specially for my friend. The idea is that every time you paint, your cat will have a different ‘coat’ 🐈

In ceramics, not everything always goes according to plan. Here you are looking at a pendant and a plate - joined together for the rest of eternity. My teacher assumed that both were to be fired to bisque - and this was only true for the leaf, the whale was already glazed. I could either write them off, or glaze the leaf too and gain a plate for jewellery and trinkets. In addition to the whale, the leaf now houses trinkets from the concerts on a daily basis :)

The recent pigeon figurine reminded me of another pigeon - or rather, a zine for which I painted the only funny comic I ever did. I realised that my comics always have some sort of second meaning and are never funny only by drawing another one after this one. Why is this one like that? Well, when I got down to it, I only had a few hours until the deadline, so I decided to ignore the anatomy, besides I had a fever. I promised myself I'd still draw something funny not in the above conditions to prove to myself I could, but somehow I haven't done that yet. Haha. The short story drawn here is true. The cat was one of those that came to my family home at some point and has stayed. He spent those few years with us well fed and happy, but certain habits remained - he tried to eat whatever he could get his paws on. No one expected that prickly pear cactus would also look culinarily appealing to him. As it turned out, it did and before we knew it, a large part of it had already disappeared. In the end, the cat was fine, even its tummy did not hurt, and the opuntia went home and for its own safety is now only watching the outside world through the window.

“Freedom”, a short comic I painted with watercolors for Babski Zin 4. Unfortuanately the printed version of it will be in black and white. I love this color combination and I will for sure use it again in the future!
(Also sorry about posting it here so late, I keep forgetting about my Tumblr xD)
