modern college au where model ivan comes home late after photoshoots and listens to till's demos for hours on repeat to wallow in his agony (the songs are always for mizi)
the first couple minutes of dan is leaving me are hilarious because dan makes a whole todo about personal space and the gesticulation bubble/venn diagram of collaboration, and then in the very next breath he's like yeah phil and i haven't been apart for longer than 2.5 weeks since we met 13 years ago and the universe may cataclysmically rip in half if we try it
I feel like we dont talk about one of the main reasons nico was ostracized at camp, not just because hes a son of hades.
Camp half blood is small enough so that rumors and information spread fast, but that doesn't mean they are always right. So imagine you're a random camper, and you're told nico, one of the new campers, gets in a big fight with Percy. During which he makes skeletons appear and somehow opens a huge crack in the floor. But percy wins and nico leaves camp.
Don't you think it would've rang a bell?
Don't you think it would've reminded them too much of two summers ago, with luke?
Dont you think everyone would've been even more scared, because now they know nico is a child of hades, one of the big three, and therefore very powerful?
There must have been so many rumors that summer of nico being part of the kronos army. Betraying camp just like luke did.
Of course after the battle of manhattan many people would've changed their minds. Hes in their side now, after all. But there are probably still many campers who think nico left them to join luke, before he changed their mind and helped them win against luke and kronos. People who still hold a grudge against him for joining the "enemy".
i think what made me actually interested in reading one piece from the start (and wanting to catch up quite quickly after watching opla), was seeing how is it now continuing with all the main characters.
that the core of the strawhats are all there, especially zoro and nami who were with luffy since the beginning, that all the strawhats are sticking by luffy still after 1000+ chapters and episodes, and made me so curious to dive into the story, and reassured me that it will be worth my time
finding out Folie à Deux came out 15 years ago now makes me realize some of you weren’t even alive yet to experience fob go on hiatus and how devastating it was only for them to come back in 2013. how the band was at its lowest, and to see them overcome their pain and addiction to come back at their strongest was such a high achievement and that’s why even I respect the band so much. they continue to overcome and continue to make music that makes their fans old and new relate to and celebrate that they are still here making our hearts swell and burst.
i need to respond to asks...i WANT to respond to asks...i am SO BEHIND on my word count goal this weekend (did not write at all)...i always want to be like oh i need approximately 36 hours per day to survive, but you know what. i'd probably just fill it up with more stuff and still feel like i never have time
one of the things about where are your boys tonight i really appreciated and, to me, seemed like the most significant thrust of the book (but never garnered much attention, imo), was the focus on the business side of things and particularly the way the many bands never saw long term success or stability or the way a lot of very young people were taken advantage of even after making their labels and handlers metric butt-tones of money and this really culminated with the discussion about paramores record deal and the inherently coercive nature of making a 14 year old sign a record deal (not even really mentioning that record deal was 20 fucking years lmao) and yet i still see people argue she was an industry plant or whatever. sorry ig one of my fatal flaws is i give child stars the benefit of the doubt considering the fundamental exploitation necessary for that position to exist or whatever
