Part 2 of the monster school concept I uploaded pictures of yesterday.

Here, we see the obligatory mean girl posse, the big man on campus and the nerd.

Lyra Melody: Lyra here is our Regina George or Heather Chandler figure, the quintessential "alpha bitch" type. She's a siren, which I thought would be a very fitting position for a popular mean girl character. Her parents are famous singers in both the monster and human worlds (they have human disguises) so she's filthy rich. I've lately been fond of sirens who blend the old-school "bird" aesthetic and the more recent "mermaid" aesthetic.

Raya: A penanggalan and Lyra's second-in-command. The penanggalan, for those who don't know, is a monster from Malay folklore, kind of similar to the manananggal, but instead of just splitting off her torso, she splits off her entire body except her head and her internal organs. The penanggalan is also more like a witch than a vampire, taking on these forms through the use of dark magic (though she still feeds on viscera). Not entirely satisfied with her name tbh.

Veronica Bloodworth: The third and nicest member of Lyra's girl posse, Veronica, as her name implies, is a vampire (specifically of the Romanian "strigoi" variety, basically your classic, Dracula-esque vampire). Fun fact: Veronica was actually going to be the vampire of the main group, but then I decided I wanted the vampire rep among the protagonists to be a manananggal, so I changed things. I still liked Veronica's design, though, so I put her in the mean girl posse instead. She's not that mean, though. She's just following the wrong crowd.

Drake Rider: The obligatory "Big Man on Campus" type, Drake is the popular jock who can be kind of full of himself sometimes. He was originally going to be a dragon named "Drake St. George", but then I decided that I like dragons better as more animal-like monsters, so I made him a centaur instead. Figured centaurs made for good "jock" type monsters, since they're frequently depicted as tough but arrogant and chauvinistic.

Gala: A nerdy Zeta Reticulan ("grey alien"), I like to think of Gala here as a parody of the "foreign exchange student" character -- in the monster school, "foreign" can mean "from another planet"! (I'm pretty sure I'm not the first person to do that, but still) She's probably my favorite design atm; I'm especially fond of her big, sparkly eyes! I like to think she has a crush on Drake and there'd be a whole plot about our heroes and even Lyra trying to help her woo him.

I have more concepts for this in the works, I'll hopefully upload those eventually. Characters belong to me.

well here it is (the nightmare)

I was making a sandwich and when I was done I stuck my butterknife in my mouth because I wanted to suck the jelly off and started putting everything away, but when I opened the fridge it slammed against the knife in my mouth and cut up and got stuck there, now the only way I could describe that paint is having all of your nerve endings cut, and I started chocking on my own blood and I couldn't pull out the knife, and it stopped me from talking so I kinda just wailed for whoever was there to help me and this random guy came in and was all "oh my goodness gracious" (yes he said that) "I need to get you to the hospital!" so in the hospital I was told that I needed stitches in my mouth (the butterknife was still jabbed in the roof of my mouth) and that there were no anesthetics that could help me so I'll just have to "be a grown-up and hold still." then a bunch of nurses came in and held me down while they pulled out the butterknife and sewed the roof of my mouth shut, and when it was over they said I had to stay there for a few months to monitor what I eat so I don't infect it, and the guy just shrugged his shoulder, gave me a fist bump, and left. but that night when I was supposed to be sleeping I couldn't (this is a real thing that happens to me I can't sleep at new places on the first day) and I was fiddling around with my blanket and the door opened and in walked somebody who looked like a fcking 1950s gangster, and he walked over to me, grabbed me by my hospital gown and said "where the fuck is Tony" so I tried to talk but my mouth was swollen from my stitches so all that came out was "he dhjs an doue" so he pulled me out of my bed and out of the hospital to his car and started driving somewhere, and at a redlight turned to face me and said "if you don't start talking coherently I'm gonna cut off your finger" so of course I just kept trying to say I can't talk, but all that would come out was "eck ent olk" and stuff, so he took me to a warehouse with some other guys in it and they tied me to a chair, and kept asking me about this Tony guy, and whenever I'd inevitably say mumbo jumbo swollen mouth stuff they'd bring out a kid and start hurting the kid???? and I kept shouting to stop but it sounded like "adj! djfj! ffis!" like a Sims character!!! and then they untied my hand and cUT OFF MY PINKY FINGER????? then threatened to throw me into a fire if I didn't tell them about Tony?? WHO TF IS TONY??? and then I heard police sirens and started screaming loudly, got tackled by one of the guys, and woke up

Ahh! sorry for like, never posting. I rarely do polished pieces outside commissions and I don't think you guys wanna see a bunch of half-finished doodles and sketches. Maybe I'll make a sketch page or something... Anyway, this is an AU of mine and my friend(s)' characters. I hope you recognize Shirk (yes, he is a Siren in this AU), and the other character's name is Amaranth! I'm actually kind of proud at how this came out! The background especially! I've never drawn underwater before so I'm glad it looks alright, lmao.

Inspired by a lovely Catradora fic I was reading earlier with Firewoman Adora. So have some Fire Captain Namaari. Atitaya: Captain. Phone call for you. It’s your wife. Namaari: Raya’s calling? I hope everything’s ok. *takes the phone* Namaari: Hello? Raya? Raya: Hey, Dep la.  Namaari: Raya. Is everything alright? We’ve talked about only calling me at work if it’s really an emergency. Raya: But it is an emergency! I need you to come home! Namaari: Why?! What’s wrong?! Raya: I’m lonely. *whimpers* Namaari: ...Raya, you know I love you, and I wish I could spend all day with you, but right now I’m working.  Raya: Yeah yeah, putting out fires and whatnot. We both know you spend more time sitting on your ass at the station than actually working, but there’s a fire here that I need you to put out. Namaari: What?! Where?! Are you safe?! What happened!? Is- Raya: It’s between my legs. *giggles* Namaari: ...Raya... Raya: What’s wrong Namaari? Are you saying you don’t want to do your duty as both a firewoman and my lovely wife, and help me put out this burning, raging, fire that’s tormenting me? *giggling*  Namaari: *gulps* Raya, as much as I’d like to help you, I really can’t. I really can’t afford to leave early for you right now...again.  Raya: *sighs* Fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnnneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. With nothing but my own two little hands to help soothe this burning ache between my thighs. With no one to help me. Certainly no big, strong, gorgeous, firefighting, binturis with the muscles of a Goddess to swoop in and save me from this unyielding heat.  Namaari: *raspy voiced* R-raya... Raya: Oohhhhmmmmmmnnnnnggggg. *squelching noises* Namaari: ... Firefighter: Hey Aititaya, have you seen the Captain?  Atitaya: Oh, Namaari? I believe she was- Namaari: *stealing a fire engine and pealing out of the garage, sirens blaring and not even bothering to open the door, just crashing right through it* Atitaya: ...Leaving...apparently... *sighs* This always happens when Raya calls...we are all so fucking fired... Firefighter: Ironic isn’t it?  Atitaya: I hate my life.
