For all the progress I've made with my health (and I've made a lot), it's still one of the most annoying features of my MCAS that stress--or basically any too strong an emotion-- can trigger an anaphylactic reaction.
On the one hand, it's forced me to do so much therapy to get a hold of my emotional dysregulation and trauma, and that's a good thing. That's good for my emotional wellbeing.
But it's also a bandaid to the fact that my immune system is so broken it throws my entire body into fight or flight mode at the least provocation, and instead of choosing either fight, flight, or fawn, it goes for the secret fourth option which is to set fire to the house (me) and swell my throat shut.
Like that is the opposite of a survival instinct.
That is my body sensing the tiger in the tall grass, and going, "No, thank you," and noping the fuck out before the tiger can even get to it.

irt that theory i also kinda...dont want it to be something completely metatextual like watching an ep & then suddenly transitioning to an external character writing the actual story would have as much of an impact as "woah it was all a dream!!". i do want the fabric of reality to have intentionally been tugged at by the characters themselves. humans in the fargo universe are average joe schmoes but like anyone else we have the power to shape our own reality, & fargo just takes that a step further with its gothic storytelling; the unavoidable feeling of being watched or judged or even ignored by a higher power, and the desperation that comes from that. i also agree with the rule of three & the idea of dot, munch, & gator having three mandatory choices ahead of them once their arcs reach their conclusion since it emphasizes the importance of autonomy that much more. just without the idea of things looping back like funny games. the ticket number in the court scene with danish had 313 on it to start with, so in my opinion, munch & dot will fully examine their three choices, while gator in his narrow-mindedness will choose one.

I think more people need to hear that not everyone needs to wash with soaps and cleansers (besides your hands which come into contact with more pathogens and also touch our eyes/mouths), water and a gentle scrub with your hands or a soft cloth is gonna be just fine most of the time, especially if you have dry or sensitive skin.
I find that when my pits get too stinky for just water and I have to use soap/cleanser on them, I'm more likely to get bo sooner and worse after, and I have to scrub them and use deodorant more between showers until everything resets.
nothing wrong with soap and cleansers but it really feels weird and like a marketing scam that they're treated like using them once or twice a day on your face and body is the default, when just washing with water makes more sense as a default and doesn't have the risk of causing sensitivities or damaging your skin barrier.

All Bellam asks is that people respect the closed doors. Work often has him doing rather crude and unsightly deeds that others may recoil at, and he is aware of this. Not to mention the nature of most things he has around generally being unsafe for prolonged contact.
He at least has protection. Can't say for certain of anyone busting through doors.
