The AU where instead of aliens, the gems are a race of creatures who live in the upper atmospheres, and all have wings! Some of them even have more than one set of wings! This idea has always been incredibly cool to me, and still inspires me to think outside the box when coming up with concepts.

I need to build the entire misfortunes keep so I can draw accurate background for my Skybound fic animatics as well as my Video so it’s really convenient and sane actually….

I’m only drawing every location and character, talking about the structure of every episode analyzing character arks, creator intensions vs what’s accomplished with everything else. That may seem like a lot but My Skybound Video is for me to say all the things that rattle around my brain about Skybound so I can FINALLY put it to rest.

I need to let it out Pen I haven’t even said a quarter of what I must I will explode Pen.

I have other hobbies I swear. Skybound is just what I use this account for.

Like listening to music that makes me think of skybound currently the fine print and Unsweetened Lemonade.

I do have some non skybound Ninjago thoughts/animatic/AUs in my notes but I don’t want to work on it till my skybound project is done.

I watched all of game of thrones with my mom

So I’m in the middle of constructing, my almost to scale misfortunes keep out of Lego.

I plan to create a cruise ship add of this monstrosity In my Skybound video. To build there’s an upper deck, lower deck, captain’s quarters and control room with steering wheel area above it you would think this should be simple but you would be wrong my friend. I have been staring at so many different references trying to make sense of this place I thought I understood.

I just had a breakthrough learning that the door on the upper deck doesn’t lead directly into captain’s quarters. (Likely a hallway with other important crew’s cabins as flintlock is within yelling range) Because the window above it can only be the window behind the dinner table opposite to the door. Also the windows outside are too low for them to be seen in his room and the size didn’t match.

This drove me crazy until I figured it out and I had to rebuild but it’s fine.

Theirs actually a lot of unknown space in the ship mostly with the big chunk of wood area underneath the main crews quarters and whatever tf is going on under the lower deck to bottom of the ship (other then Jay’s prison hole)

Here’s some notes on things I have noticed

* 2 steering wheels one in control room other on top

* Background pirate just seem to sleep, wherever the fuck on the lower and upper deck.

* There is no normal way of traversing the ship every time they have to cut the ninja in the next part of the ship when moving around.

* Dogshank is most definitely to tall for captain’s quarters entrance so her squeezing in there to play violin is questionable. Dose the vent above open?

* they set up a second random ass plank off top deck for cops to walk off with a perfectly good lower plank to walk off.

* There are car tires strapped in front instead of life rafts. I guess if their sky boat ever needs to change tires, they’ll be ready

* When it’s scap n tap time 500 boxes materialize on the lower deck and are never seen again.

* Nadakhan goes to get a jacket from his clearly empty closet because Flintlock says it’s going to be chilly. They are above the clouds weather does not fluctuate much and it’s always cold.

* Flintlock catches a glimpse of the Ninjago map on Nadakhans wall and acts like a proof he’s hiding his plans. Later a police officer desperately eats the same generic map of the country so Nadakhan can’t get it. They imply it’s to hide that Nya and Jay are in the lighthouse. The map did not have that information the police don’t even know where they are and he ate this map for no reason. Every Ninjago map must hide your secret plans Thank you Skybound.

Okay, I have a lot to say for the last chapter! First this might just be my new favorite chapter ever! It had everything my brain could possibly want.

That little Jesse nd Zane moment? And everyone assuming Jesse’s into Zane? Yeah, that was a five-second scene and now it's living rent-free in my brain. I’ll be thinking about it for the next month, maybe two

The glacier scene? Perfect! I could picture it perfectly, like something straight out of an anime. I had the goofiest smile on my face the whole time! Zane being all sad and knowing he's sad so often and Cole just being his emotional support rock? Chef’s kiss. I know I'll reread that one a few dozen times

Kai just doing his own thing, progressing the plot in the background, supporting characters in ways they don't even know yet my king

Jay and Nya’s relationship? going through something real right now. Like, not just petty drama—this is deep emotional stuff. And even if it’s painful to watch, it’s also so well done I can'tlook away.

Then thers Harumi out here stepping on every emotional landmine for Lloyd, and Lloyd somehow still finding the right words. He’s on the right track to become therapy in a hoodie. (Even if he needs his own)

(Jesse’s emotional turmoil? That’s my oxygen. Keep it coming^^)

Ok This got too long just, absolute favorite chapter this book!

Haha I genuinely didn't think this chapter would be topping anyone's charts, but I'm pleased to hear it has at least one dedicated fan! ^^

The Jesse-Zane moment was definitely for you ehehe, glad you caught it!

"I’ll be thinking about it for the next month, maybe two" <- perfect, just long enough for me to get in another update (though I hope I'm a little faster than that)

Jay and Nya’s relationship? <- literal hardest part of the chapter. Didn't want to make it TOO serious, but didn't wanna downplay the situation. Didn't want them to ~magically therapyspeak~ their way out of the stickier parts (because a) they're both hardly even 16 rn they're not gonna have the proper capabilities to navigate this and b) both of them are too plagued by their own insecurities to fully register the other's; i.e. Jay looping the situation to reflect his own feelings even while trying to be supportive of the fact that this happened to Nya + Nya barreling forward with *her* solutions without consulting with/considering the potential impacts on Jay too) BUT I also didn't want this to outright break them either, because I do think it's something they can work past. it obviously didn't cause any ripples during canon

...but just, y'know, planting some Skybound seeds, whatever~

He’s on the right track to become therapy in a hoodie. (Even if he needs his own) <- this is an incredible description of Lloyd, I love it. He's in his "if I help others I won't have to focus on myself" sort of phase (steven universe anyone)

A new teaser for EarthSpark sees Mo suit up to fight Mr. Skull Head the Quintesson.

This is both better but somehow worse.

On the plus side, instead of talking bout feelings like the Steven Universe stereotype the first season was, Mo instead decides to kick the Quint’s skid plate. (Obviously having found out she’s been had that is).

She even does an Access Flash style gesture.

Just too bad her suit is a rip off of the Guardian Code suits, and not the Prime Apex Armor.

No I will not let this go. The toys look cooler with robotic suits that mirror the Apex Armor & G1 Exo-Suits, why aren’t they that in show? It’s a design nitpick that bothers me more than it should.

Thrash makes mention that “Mo saved the world”, and I echo @monocle-teacup in asking how in the heck does that make sense? The world building of this show is already poor, in what way were non Transformers on Earth in any real danger?

It would make more sense if humans adapted and utilized Energon to power tech also, and Mandroid’s Doomsday Project affects Energon powered hospitals, killing humans too. It’s the same problems others mentioned before in not thinking beyond the Transformers themselves as well as slightly overcompensating on the female leads. Why is Mo getting all credit when Robbie was a vital component too? Robbie is just gonna grow up and disavow his family at this rate. And I don’t blame him either. Jerks.

Also I’m sorry but I really tried. Mo’s new look is just awful.

I think Mo in general is just a victim of the show’s art style not translating the best into 3D, as Robbie, Dot and Alex look fine.

She’s always had this really uncanny valley look, but I don’t think she looks very good in buns. Bring back her messy hair.

Also the clip evidently aired on NickToons, the graveyard channel where shows Nick grows bored of goes to die from Digimon, Power Rangers, late stage 2012 TMNT, Rise of the TMNT, Chloe era Fairly Oddparents and more.

So that’s another nail in the tomb for this show, not that Nick proper ever aired it much to begin with.

Still the animation still looks very good, and we have Quintessons. Those are pluses, now to see if they do anything with them, lest Skybound and TFONE do the heavy lifting there in their stories. We’ve never really had anything done with the Quints that involves their creation by the Emberstone so this is the opportunity to do that, compared to Cyberverse, Earthrise, and seemingly Void Rivals avoiding the Quintus Prime origins.
