Ellis placed a hand on Anakin's shoulder to comfort her friend. "Anakin, this isn't your fault, he saw a weakness, and he exploited it, that can happen to anyone, but you came back from it; that's all that matters, all that matters to me at least, I was scared I was gonna lose my closest friend and I got you back, I don't care about anything else," Ellis said.

She shook his head. "He knows I would never forgive him, and I would hunt him down and make him regret his decision if he did that; he knows how much of a friend you are to me, and if anyone else comes for that bounty, it's gonna be the last thing they do."

Ellis took her saber in her hand when he started to close the blast shades. "I got your back."

After ensuring Padme and the twins were hidden, she made her way outside with Anakin, prepared for whatever fight was coming. And then she saw the ship and landed.

Caden jumped out of the ship, but the moment he saw Ellis and Anakin with their sabers drawn and not activated, he arched a brow. "Calm down it's just me, and Ellis don't look to shocked I had to keep up with you somehow, figured it be a good idea to keep tabs on you but we have a problem on our hands" Caden said as he walked over and pulled out a disc and activated. It was a hologram of Anakin, and there was a hefty price on his head. "That bastard is throwing accusations at surviving Jedi and is telling everyone that Anakin attempted to assassinate him, and anyone that ally themselves with him is to be eliminated on sight."

Padmé had never really been content to simply sit at home and rule. Not when there was work to be done. There were troubling rumors, suggesting the galaxy was on the verge of dying, in need of a savior. So, Padmé had dug up the only possible solution, the ancient legend of a boy known only as the Chosen One now. Apparently, evil forces had been so threatened by his birth that one of them had appeared and cursed him to one day die when a prick to his finger caused three drops of blood to fall. Only the interference of the guardians of the light had averted the disaster, changing the death to a sleep meant to last until... something happened. It was there that the records stopped, leaving a blank space and countless questions.

But it was all she had to go on, so Padmé had set off, searching every planet systematically for some trace of the Chosen One.

It was on the desert world of Tatooine that she found him, resting on a stone slab inside a hidden cave. He was young, maybe even younger than her... “Please...” She reached out and touched his hand, rocking him a little. “I need you to wake up, please...”

Her fingers slowly moved up... she felt his heartbeat, he was alive... and something about him just... called to her. Hesitantly, she leaned down. “I’m sorry I don’t have your permission for this, but I... have to try.” With that, she brushed her lips softly against his.

 “Master?” He asked in a respectful tone, never letting his voice nor his facial expressions give anything away. It had taken a while, but he had mastered it. Hurt? Disappointed? You’ll never tell if he didn’t want you to know. At the moment he was feeling... “Is everything alright?” The apprentice wanted to ask if he, Darth Vader, was okay. As he had been rather distant on his training. Yet he was wise enough not to do so.

Ellis wasn't expecting it, but she didn't exactly fight it either; she was too exhausted from her previous battles before coming to Mustafar to confront Anakin. "Anakin, this isn't you; you're treading down a path I can't follow, I hate to say it, but I feel our paths diverging, and I don't want that," Ellis said as she used a trick Anakin of all people didn't know freeing herself from his hold, but she made no move to get her sabers or attack him, not if there was a chance she can bring Anakin back. She stepped closer to him and stared him in the eyes.

"Anakin, I get it, I know why you're doing this; you want to protect Padme and believe me nothing burns in me more than protecting my friend, your wife," Ellis said, confirming that she knew but kept her mouth shut, not wanting to get Anakin in hot water, and she still wouldn't tell she would play ignorance for long as she could if that's what it took.

"Think about it, what if you fail at a task that he gives you? What if he angers you, he knows how important Padme is to you. Are you really willing to risk that, because I know you? You will cut down anyone that even attempts her harm, I know because I would do that as well, I would face an entire army to protect her and you"

"Honestly, Anakin, though I do miss Qui-Gon, the closest thing I've had to a father since mine died before I was born, I was sad, but I was not angry; Obi-Wan had contacted me before he left Naboo and told me what happened, that all of Qui-Gons actions were because he sensed you were different and would be a great addition to the Jedi and since we were the same age, we'd get along, I would never blame you for that. If it wasn't for Qui-Gon, we would've never met, and I wouldn't really have a best friend, more like a brother."

Ellis shrugged. "I don't know, but you're my best friend, and I wouldn't trade you for anything. We're going to be the most powerful Jedi to ever live and we're going to take down the Sith and get rid of the fear and chaos they pose to the galaxy"

She nodded. "Like I said, he was the closest I ever got to a father, I mean, it's nice that I have Master Windu, but our relationship is more mentor and student, not father and daughter. I don't think I will ever get over that, but it's life; we're born, we live, and...we die. Life is cruel if you think about it."
