I wish I could rewind time. I watch this footage over and over and see him as a boy trying to do his first ollie. I remember teaching the kids on the block how to skate and do tricks. Mama was a skater/bmx-er back in her day (wayyy back). ➕ And although the thought is very provoking, we can’t just download an app and rewind time. The days we are living in ARE the good ole days. - going to say that again. THE DAYS WE ARE LIVING TODAY ARE THE GOOD OLE DAYS!!! ➕ Think about every time you wish you would have cherished these moments. Well I’m telling you now you can. There’s no reason you can’t be a forward thinker and still live in the moment. If you’re missing these moments, you’re missing the whole point in life my friend. ➕ Here’s a tip to take in the moment and be mindful: - pause - observe your surroundings, taking in each item for what it is individually and simply. (Red car, white pen, etc) - What smells are there? Try to use as many of your senses as possible without moving. - And be sure to breathe deeply and smile. This correlation is important. As for this mama, these last few weeks have been a lot of soaking up as much time and moments as I can with my family before my move. I can’t think about how I will hold up alone because it breaks me down. I know a lot of moms out there know this empty nester feeling. It’s bittersweet.
