I got an idea from those videos of people getting their pets to talk through buttons on SnipSnap.

I put the goop into a little holding area I’d originally made for the maze, and set out a few buttons. Yes, no, and hot dog.

It.. wouldn’t stop hitting the hot dog button. Um, until I gave it one. Then it slunk back and ate it before coming back over and hitting the hot dog button again.

I asked if it wanted to do a maze for a hot dog, and, surprisingly, it moved over to the “yes” button and hit it! It ran through the maze about five times before I decided to call it for tonight.

It’s incredible, really, that something this.. cellularly simple could communicate like that! I’ll need to do some control tests to make sure it’s not just saying nonsense sentences for food, but still!

and i mean in general the idea of tiktok as like Uniquely generative of especially vacuous discourses and especially poor "reading comprehension" or whatever is pretty silly isnt it?? tiktok is dancing through the same discourses twitter and tumblr have, just on a larger scale. tbh im convinced that 10 years from now the 20somethings who grew up on tiktok will have outgrown their hot takes and started turning up their noses at the Uniquely Inane Discourses of the new social media apps, like SnipSnap and GooGoo.com

I gened this snipsnap up today, and there are two finishing touches needed.

First—I cannot decide which colour tangle to use on her wings. I love how the Sanguine brings out the little pops of orange in her outfit; I like how the Dusky vines emphasize the darkness in her wings; and Faerie blends so well with the colours in her accent!

Second—Friends Budgies is 200g, or I could farm Harpy’s Roost for the next six months. Bleh. I just spent a lot geneing her up, so it’s hard to take more out of the vault. I’ll do it eventually.
