Gods, I try to, but I'm really bad about saving them for later and getting overwhelmed by how much I have to respond to.

Dusk, so far.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Most of my fics end "happy" but I think Wishes on Stars leaves you with the happiest feeling.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

A bit, yeah.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Yes, obviously. What kind is such an odd question. What is this asking?

I mostly write M/M and M/F. I also write a lot of M/M/M. I've written F/F and M/F/M and M/M/M/M/M/M/M (lmao had to count) and F/M/M/M and I've written some trans smut (idk that there's anything posted. I've also written vanilla sex and varieties of kink sex.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

Nope, not my thing.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not that I'm aware of.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

I've had a few people approach me about translating things, but I've never seen oen posted for my works.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

YES! I love cowriting.

14. What’s your all time favorite ship?

.... rude of you to make me pick one. I guess Wolfstar, but you're on thin fucking ice questionaire!

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Gods, SO many. I've got a whole abandoned folder.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I think I'm really good at building to the intense gotcha moments. ALSO, I'm really good at remembering stupid little details to carry on.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Starting new things before I finish old things.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I definitely have, but it's SO HARD. Without having some working knowledge of the langauge, you're relying on either Google translate (which, ugh) or finding people who are willing to help you translate. Usually, I aim for French, but I've also done a Spanish in sal y limón.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Harry Potter.

Tuesday Treat

This is from a fic that’s a ways from being posted, but should be endgame WSB. TW for mild gore, but it’s not descriptive.

“Lupin, are you going to actually chop the herb, or merely will it into smaller pieces?” Snape huffs, grabbing for the cutting board. “Here, let me do it myself.”

If this were a movie–or, if Wix knew about movies–this is the part where things would freeze frame and there’d be a voice over saying something like “I bet you’re wondering how I got into this position.” Which, I’m sure you are. However, time doesn’t really freeze frame before moving in slow motion forward. Instead, what happened next happened quickly.

Remus tried to block Snape from taking the cutting board. Snape bumped Remus’s arm, which bumped the cutting board, which disrupted the aconite. Which, of course, made it fall and Remus, in his infinite wisdom and, more likely, delayed reactions due to the full moon, tried to catch it.

Aconite and Silver.

Aconite, genus Aconitum, also known as monkshood, wolfsbane, leopard’s bane, devil’s helmet, or blue rocket. A plant with magical properties that is often used in potion making. Aconite is poisonous, particularly to someone who is infected with lycanthropy.

Silver–well, it’s silver. Like bullet to the heart of a werewolf, silver, which it turns out, is not a myth. Really no further explanation needed, is there?

Remus ends up with one handful of aconite and a hand holding a silver cutting board and–oh, right, a silver knife. He wasn’t precisely holding a silver knife though, he had caught it.

Snape hisses under his voice. “Salazar, Lupin, do you have no sense of self preservation? It’s amazing you’ve made it this long as a werewolf without doing yourself in.”

Remus ignores him. It takes some effort, but the throbbing in his hands helps distract him. “Professor? I think I need to go to the hospital wing.”

1,313,884, but that includes a few cowritten things, and I couldn't begin to break down how many of those belong to jus tme.

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

Omg 🫥. I do.... sometimes. I really, really love comments, and I need to be better about responding to them! It's a mixture of social anxiety and savoring them that leads me to not responding, and then I wonder if it's too late to respond, and then they stack up, and then I'm anxious over how many there are and I just.... never repsond. i try to repsond to at least some of the, but I'm very anxious about how many unresponded comments I have. (My inbox currently sits at 1136, and I've cleared it out before.)

6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Dusk. However, i have 2 more in the works that (assuming I ever finish them) may be worse.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Most of my fics have a happy ending, so I'm not sure what the MOST happy ending was. Maybe Save the Groom? I can't imagine STG James being any happier than he is in that epilogue.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Occasionally. It's rarely hate but I do occasionally get dissatisfaction, like "i don't like the way you ended this" or "I read the side along you wrote and I'm no longer interested in the main story" which is weird to get.

9. Do you write smut. If so, what kind?

Lol, yes, and.... all kinds? Honestly, what does that mean. I've written MM, MF, and FF. Also Multi (though mostly MMM+). I've also written both vanilla and kink?

NOPE. Not something that really interests me, tbh.

Not that I'm aware of, but I wouldn't be surprised.

I've had a couple of people ask, but no one who has delivered on it. or at least no one who tagged me the way I asked them to if they did it.

Yes, a few! I'm actually very fond of cowriting. Quietlemonhush and I have been working on cowriting more, and I adore working with him.

I've gotta go with my Wolfstar boys. 💖

I'm not ready to call anything that's posted now and a WIP abandoned (though I know I occasionally get comments calling things abandoned). I think it's probably unlikely that I ever write my Voldy Wins AU at this point because I've been sitting on it for 2 years at this point, but it was never posted.

16. What are your writing strengths?

Worldbuilding and tension building, I think.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Sticking to a plan. 🤣

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

I've done it before, and I'm not a huge fan, tbh. I probably won't do it again unless I have a cowriter who is fluent. It's a pain if you don't know the language, and there's no way to really build the dialogue as you would in a language you know.

HP, but make it Hinny.

20. Favorite fic you've ever written?

Oh, gosh. I think maybe The Way We Fall. Ask me next week and that will be different.

Most hits: Ignite (52k hits) Jily. Summary: It's a well known fact that James Potter and Lily Evans hate each other with a burning passion. When they are named Head Boy and Head Girl, everyone wonders whether it is a mistake. However, a burning passion can ignite something far more powerful than hatred. The only question left is whether they can survive the blaze.

Second Most Kudos: Bathed in the Moonlight (758 kudos) (honestly, this one always surpises me. Just a little PWP) Wolfstar. Summary: In the light of the moon, they came together and became something new.

Third most bookmarks: Step & Repeat (321 bookmarks). Wolfstar. Summary: Step & Repeat: (1)A banner with a repeating motif or picture that is used as a backdrop for pictures, like for a red carpet. (2) The act of actually falling in love with your celebrity best friend while being his fake boyfriend on said red carpet while the whole world thinks you’re already in love. Or, at least, that’s how it happened to Remus.
