↳ day 29: favourite ending (episode 1)

i love the ending of the first episode so much. we spend the whole episode wondering who wilford is and then we finally find out it's melanie. i spent the entire time waiting for a mediocre white man to appear so when i found out it was a woman running the train i got so excited. it was such an amazing twist for the end of the first episode especially because it also gave us so many more question like if mr wilford did actually exist.

I usually think about them as Team Melanie, but Team Mel seems a more exact definition, no one else calls her Mel. I mean, the guys who still try to save humanity: Jinju, Ben, Javi - and Mel herself.

↳ day 28: favourite opening (episode 7: lj)

Kind of amazing? Help? We ration the people not the crops? I'm very biased, you see, half of Mel x Ben scenes win the nomination automatically. And since I've already gifed those, as well as Melanie's scenes with Jinju, let's go for something else that speaks about the hardships of an ark.

↳ day 22: favourite episode (episode 5: justice never boarded)

there's so many parts of this episode i loved. the trial, seeing more of the tail's past, more lilah, till and jinju moving in together, and so much more. a lot of the story progressed this episode and many character's motivations and developments were shown too. i wish i could've giffed so many more scenes for todays post but i had to cut it down somewhere.

↳ day 24: favourite adaptation (tv show)

as i mentioned on one of the other days, i hate the film, so obviously the tv show would be my answer for this one. i love of the tv show is more character based and we learn more about each of them and there's focus on all the classes and not just the tail. for me, that allows me to connect more to the story and the issues they're trying to put across. however, one thing i did love in the film was how we saw the train bit by bit from the tail upwards.

↳ day 14: favourite costume (miss audrey's)

so many of the costumes in this show are beautiful and i can't just pick one. though if i could pick anyone's wardrobe it would be audrey's (as if i could pull off all these looks though). when she came out in the 40's inspired outfit for the revolution i was literally murray she looked breathtaking and the dishelved version for after it was over was just *chefs kiss*

bonus lilah's episode two outfit because i want to own that green and purple suit (including the shoes) and we were robbed of seeing a proper shot of this outfit:

↳ day 9: favourite couple (till & jinju)

I LOVE LESBIANS. okay but till and jinju were the least annoying couple and only couple who weren't thrown in there for the sake of it. they were two people who loved and cared for each other despite their class difference and their circumstances tearing them apart and even though i knew they were going to end up splitting up by the end of the season it still hurt. i really hope they get back together again later on when there's not such a big divide anymore.

↳ day 18: most memorable death (josie's)

this death got me the most. i just remember me and my friend yelling at each other over message as we watched. not only was it heartbreaking to see josie's death the obvious impact that would have on the revolution but melanie in these scenes was at breaking point and that got me too. both jennifer and katie did incrediblely well (and mickey in till's bit too) at making this so effective.

↳ day 10: favourite unreal couple (melanie & audrey)

i wish melanie and audrey would get together so bad. i know they'll never do it, because it looks like they're going with melanie is "straight" (she's bi to me and anyone who disagrees can fight me) but i love the relationship between them and there is definitely some sort of connection there. i really hope that's at least explored next season.

↳ day 30: favourite tailsection post (x)

i had planned to do a different post for the final day but i went onto their account to have a final flick through before i made it and i saw their latest post (at the time) and fell in love with it. this version is slightly different to how they made it but i wanted to make it in gifs and into my own style. i'm proud of myself for managing to complete all 30 days and thank you tailsection for making the challenge! link to their original post is above.

i picked this song because i love lena and it was my favourite out of the two she sang but listening back to it i never realised how much the lyrics fit the show and the direction the plot was going. it's like it was specifically written for snowpiercer and now i love it even more because of it.

there are so many wonderful edits on this site that i love but when i saw today's catagory this is the one that immediately sprang to mind and i knew that i wanted to do a version with lilah and layton. her original version is way better than mine and is tagged down below and obviously the whole edit and idea is her's and not mine.

30 DAY SNOWPIERCER CHALLENGE

↳ day 2: favourite male character (andre layton)

this was closely tied with roche (who is hilarious and i want him to be my dad) but in the end i chose layton. considering he's one of the two main characters/protagonists of the series, he's extremely underrated and that annoys me because he's such an incredible character. trapped at the back of the train with death around every corner, he decides to adopt a lonely orphan boy, has to cope with his wife betraying and leaving him and deal with everyone uptrain. he makes a lot of mistakes but everything andre does comes from a place of good, which is the complete opposite to my fave female character. stan andre layton.
