but man, whenever I see someone go "old minecraft YouTube was better, dsmp is CRINGE and BAD" I just wanna have them pull up their social media post's circa 2010's.

C'mon dude, don't be shy, show me the receipts i'm sure you didn't act like this back then :) :) :) I'm certain you acted exactly like a mature and stable adult who could do no wrong in your first fandom.

oh yeah definitely. it’s just nostalgia clouding their memories. there have been good parts and bad parts to both eras, and one’s thoughts are easily biased depending on which part they decide to focus on. it just to happens that, because of time, old/og mcyt has been reduced down to its “good” parts, and because of how widespread both it and social media itself is, modern mcyt has been largely reduced down to its “bad” parts to outsiders
