It took me a second to answer this cause I went back and forth on what to share and I eventually just decided to post my ramblings so,, enjoy :P

(Also the lines between cg Hal and dad Hal are practically nonexistent at this point sorry!)

Alright so first of all he absolutely abuses the word ‘kiddo’ or just ‘kid’ and in general hardly ever calls his kid by their name. Money is tight but it’s okay cause he just does stuff that doesn’t cost lots so there’s lots of playing outside, reading together, and chess! Hal likes to play chess and he insists on teaching his little.

He likes to take his kiddo to watch cool planes and tells them all about the different kinds and he’s annoying so he’s constantly trying to make his tiny as interested in planes as he is :P

Road trips! He likes to use maps to find and go see local land marks cause he’s old fashioned like that, and he plays loud music in the car (classic rock cause I’m biased and want him to have my taste)

He doesn’t carry around a diaper bag or anything but he does always have a beat up old back pack in the car for emergencies (bandaids, snacks, etc.) He’s also learned to clumsily sew for when his tiny rips their favorite plush so he’s got a little kit with needle and thread in there as well

exforce fic draft where another human of the mbop finds skippy and becomes (temporary) captain of the flying dutchman and then!!! perhaps one or two books later (i’ve really forgotten when humanity starts seriously “fighting” w the rotten kitties, i need to do a re-skim) a maxholx!bishop is either taken prisoner by the merry band of pirates OR willingly gets rid of his implants (sci-fi magic i’ll make it up later) and joins the crew to help ^_^

personallyy i want to go with the originally imprisoned, and then he slowly warms up to the crew and the crew starts warming up to him. i don’t know i can’t think of many logical arguments why a maxholx would willingly jump on ship w a bunch of filthy monkeys without that classic y/n excuse of “they’re just different and special 😌” So. my google docs and i shall see !! i just think it’d be cute to look deeper into parallel (right word/phrase ?) cat / maxholx habits,,, i wonder if they purr,,,
