tiktok is actually the worst thing to happen to both music and books
#this isnt me being a dick#well it kind of is#but it’s also true#a trope like enemies to lovers becomes popular on tiktok#& there’s a huge influx of shitty unimaginative prose about abusive man x victim woman#and it becomes a fucking sensation for some reason#because these knobs dont know how to read critically#or how to interpret things in their own way#and musicians have literally said that their agencies push them to promote songs on tiktok by making up challenges or trends#so youll hear the chorus and maybe it’s decent but really people only care about jumping on the bandwagon#that’s how you get monstrosities like abcdefu#songs with no heart or deeper meaning or passion#because they’re not necessarily supposed to be “good”#theyre just supposed to sell#ok rant over#dark academia aesthetic#dark academia#light academia#light academia aesthetic#chaotic academia#books#literature
