Workshop: Working with 3D

For this workshop I decided to tried to work with canvas in an attempt to make a Bunga Raya.

First I sketched out the flower in detail with some references [all will be posted below] and noted down some things that would be helpful to keep in mind when making it 3D.

Aisling had suggested that I use canvas for the petals as it was a lighter material that would suit how delicate it was from there

I tested how string stripped down coloured with red paint and not would look on the canvas when put with coloured latex. I decided not to do that as I found it stood out too much. [Right] I also tested sewing strips of canvas to the petals and found that I liked the look of this a lot better. [Left]
